Half an hour later, Nan Yu arrived at the police station.

Upon seeing her at the entrance, Yan Ren imdiately waved her over.

"Nan Yu, this way," he said.

Nan Yu approached him quickly, with a thin layer of sweat on her forehead. She was breathing lightly but her gaze was extrely solemn.

"Captain Yan, I want to report a cri," she said.

It was the sa office as last ti, but this ti Yan Ren had made her a cup of Pu’er tea.

Yan Ren sat across from her, made sure the cara was turned on, and looked at her eye to eye.

"Nan Yu, you can start talking," he prompted.

Nan Yu took off her hat and then removed her black mask, revealing her beautiful, unmade-up face.

She held the cup of tea, sitting upright in front of the cara, looking towards Yan Ren behind it.

"Captain Yan, you must have heard about the zoo incident," she started. "They say it was who did it, that I hurt Sheng Ruoi and also caused Mrs. Nan to beco a vegetative state."

Yan Ren watched Nan Yu intently, taking notes of her words with a pen.

"I heard about it," he said. "It ca from the Nan Group, claid to have been directly stated by their Sixth Miss."

A flash of anger towards Nan Qingqing crossed Nan Yu’s eyes. She clenched her fists tightly, struggling to stay calm.

"The reality is that it wasn’t at all like Nan Qingqing said. From the beginning, it was her and Sheng Ruoi who had conspired to kill in those deep mountains," she confessed.

Interrupting with a puzzled look, Yan Ren asked, "Why would they want to kill you?"

Speaking of this, Nan Yu’s eyes showed a hint of grievance and hatred. She slowly unclenched her fists and took out three docunts from her bag.

One by one, she laid them in front of Yan Ren.

"Because Nan Qingqing isn’t Duan Zhu’s biological daughter—I am," she revealed.

Yan Ren was stunned, looking at Nan Yu in disbelief before hastily examining the three docunts.

The three docunts were paternity test reports. The difference was that the people being tested were not the sa; two for Nan Yu and one for Nan Qingqing.

Yan Ren quickly perused them, going through all the content before sitting there in shock.

"You are Duan Zhu’s biological daughter, and Nan Qingqing was actually the biological daughter of Sheng Ruoi!" he exclaid.

Nan Yu nodded, with a touch of desolation rising in her heart as she rembered all that had happened recently.

Her eyes reddened as she said, "After Sheng Ruoi and her family found out that I was Duan Zhu’s real daughter, they wanted Nan Qingqing to usurp my place. They deliberately forged a fake DNA report and deceived everyone in the Nan Family."

"They felt I couldn’t be left alive, afraid that I would disrupt their plans, so they decided to swiftly get rid of ."

She licked her dry lips, mories of that night’s brush with death filling her mind, a sadness appearing on her face.

With a hoarse voice, Nan Yu continued, "They fed the lions a special Strange Herb, causing the lions to go into a frenzy, with the intention of having the crazed lions devour alive."

"It was just that I was lucky to escape from the lions’ jaws and survive," she recollected.

Yan Ren took notes non-stop. When Nan Yu paused, he looked up and asked, "What happened after that?"

Nan Yu closed her eyes, envisioning Duan Zhu who had shielded her with her body and fell into a pool of blood.

Her eyes brimd with tears, and her voice trembled noticeably as she choked up.

"After that, Mrs. Nan arrived," she recounted.

"She recognized as her true daughter and realized the true intentions of Sheng Ruoi and her family."

"Seeing this, Sheng Ruoi and Nan Qingqing wanted to shoot us. My mother tried to save by shielding with her body; she took the bullet for ," she explained.

Reaching this point in her story, Nan Yu had to pause, wiping the tears that were flowing from her eyes with a tissue, struggling to calm her shaking self.

Only after she managed to sowhat settle her emotions, and her voice trembled less, did she continue, "To protect myself, I injured Sheng Ruoi. Nan Qingqing took the opportunity to run away. Since my mother was unconscious, I feared for her life. I didn’t chase after Nan Qingqing but instead focused on helping my mother, trying desperately to save her."

"I didn’t expect Nan Qingqing to co back, and she returned with a group of Nan family bodyguards who trusted only her, ready to shoot on the spot," she disclosed.
