Ren Xingzhou pondered for a mont, glanced at Nan Yu, and nodded in agreent.

"Indeed, she’s quite endearing."

Although he had only been with Nan Yu for a few hours, he didn’t dislike her at all, and even liked her personality a bit.

Nan Yu calmly directed the lion to get down.

"Xiaoba, be good, get down."

Xiaoba’s eyes revealed reluctance, but it obediently got off Nan Yu.

Once she stood firm, it approached her again and rubbed against her forcefully.

Nan Yu looked at the lion, which was as tall as a person, constantly rubbing against her neck, the lion’s fur tickling her.

She reached out to rub its ears, the white fur glistening under the light, as if coated with a layer of sacred glow, beautiful as if it were a mount of the gods.

"Go eat your al."

Nan Yu gently patted its big head and pointed to the beef in the distance.

Xiaoba nudged her body with its head, pushing her forward.

Without choice, Nan Yu moved forward, her eyes filled with confusion as she looked towards Ren Xingzhou, who stood beside her in a daze.

Before she could voice her question, Ren Xingzhou spoke up to clear her confusion.

"Xiaoba wants you to feed him."

After speaking, he took out a long pair of tongs from his basket and handed them to Nan Yu.

Nan Yu took them and said to Xiaoba, "Don’t be too excited, let walk by myself, I’ll feed you."

Imdiately, Xiaoba obediently stopped pushing her and walked beside her, sticking out its red tongue, looking at her expectantly.

Nan Yu walked over to the at basket, picked up a piece of at with the tongs, and held it to Xiaoba’s mouth.

Xiaoba opened its mouth obediently, swallowed in one gulp, and made a satisfied purring sound while eating.

Nan Yu raised an eyebrow, suddenly finding it quite interesting.

She picked up another piece of at and brought it to its mouth.

Xiaoba opened its mouth, and the mont the at entered, it made a gulping sound and swallowed it.

In this back and forth, the basket of at was quickly gone.

Nan Yu put the tongs back in the basket and then looked at the lion, "There’s no more at."

The well-fed Xiaoba moved in front of Nan Yu, lay down before her, and rested its head on its front legs, placing its head in front of her.

"Roar~"

Nan Yu, hearing the playful low growl, compliantly rubbed its big head, the touch was fluffy and especially comfortable to stroke.

Xiaoba blissfully closed its eyes, purring with satisfaction.

Before long, it fell asleep, breathing steadily and rhythmically.

Nan Yu quietly withdrew her hand and carefully retreated to Ren Xingzhou’s side, lowering her voice and whispering, "Brother Ren, Xiaoba has fallen asleep, let’s leave quickly."

Ren Xingzhou concealed the surprise in his eyes, nodded quietly, shouldered his basket, and left the place with her.

After moving so distance away, he looked at Nan Yu again and couldn’t help asking, "Have you ever worked as a keeper before?"

Nan Yu looked at him perplexed, "Hm?"

Ren Xingzhou explained, "I noticed how skilled you were at scratching Xiaoba."

Nan Yu, hearing this, smiled lightly and said, "I’ve never been a keeper, but I’ve watched videos of people keeping cats. Those cats all like to be scratched like that. I thought Xiaoba, being a big feline, might like it too, so I tried it out. Surprisingly, it really enjoyed it."

Ren Xingzhou pressed his lips together, nodded, and said, "Then I can rest assured that you’ll co to feed Xiaoba by yourself tomorrow."

Nan Yu asked, "Won’t you be coming tomorrow?"

Ren Xingzhou looked towards the distant forest and shook his head, "There are more than just Xiaoba, one lion, in this deep forest. Xiaoba is special and requires freshly cut beef every day, while the others prefer sothing alive."

"Although I don’t need to feed them specifically, I have to check on their condition daily."

Nan Yu continued to ask, "How many lions are there in total here?"

Ren Xingzhou replied, "Five adult lions, and two that were just born a month ago."
