The air outside the city felt less suffocating or maybe different all-together ever since leaving that shop behind, I walked towards the Hapsphere station as it was really draining on my energy ever since i got here,
Then I rebered about the productive things I had done today,
I had used Henry or let’s just say Fredrick’s desperation, panic and gave him a thin thread of hope to which he would cling-to even if it’s just for a while, that’s all i need anyways, Not his trust, just his vulnerablility for a while.....
I was grateful for that clever mind of his which led him to connect the dots, that maybe I was not alone and there are accomplices or I was backed up by so mysterious Association or worse— an agent from N.U.A or black-market, and honestly it’s good as it worked in my favour, let him keep that mindset for so ti,
And I was glad because that overprepared bastard had a B- rank "Mana-Contract" ready, which was more than enough for both of us, it binded us through Mana as disobeying the contract can lead to bursting of our hearts like overblown balloons, as mana was a primary fundantal particle in this world which flowed through everyone on a fundantal level, Awakened or not, it binded individuals to a tight-noose.
And the rules were very simple:
• Neither party must harm each other till the contract period ends.
• Both the parties must provide each other’s demands, which should be within their capacity.
• Neither party must betray or do things which endanger’s each other’s lives in any way.
See, it was neat, elegant and effective without any one of us getting our hands dirty.
In return to provide with intel, connections and items as the purge was comming to an end in 3-4 months according to the novel’s storyline.
I agreed to fund his daughter’s treatnt by showing him the zeroes in my account for his confirmation, along with resolving his frozen accounts which were, ummm... mildly tough but not that much of a big-deal for , he signed the contract maybe thinking that maybe his daughter would get the life she deserved or worse that he was getting both of their lives fuc**d in a legal way.
Then like a good person I am, I ordered him to bring the "Bloom-Berry potion" in 2 days,
And Oooh!....god’s his reaction was priceless because you see this wasn’t just any potion but a sure shot safe way that would rank you up a sub-rank or if you are lucky enough it might just hand you your next rank and yeah... it worked according to your potential,
the more your potential the more you could suck-in from that potion,
And the interesting thing was that the potion was originally known as "Everlight" but was later changed when the maker of the potion felt that this na suited better than everlight.

As i reached the Hapsphere station the sll of those "Cherry-blossom’s" filled in gently,
The tree was now towering the station as I walked towards it and one of those pinkinsh-red coloured petal drifted into my hands,
Gently closing my palms i felt the cold surface of the petal clinging on my skin, and it felt refreshing from all this hassle,
The mana rail then appeared, and hastily i got into it, to quickly sit on the window seat as it was getting too much crowded by now,

It sped forward, and now before reaching the new ho of mine, I had many things to prepare beforehand as I really hated it when he called a pathetic E- rank,
Because in reality this was true, and all i was doing was leashing him to his desperation according to my needs so the first thing after reaching the mansion of mine, I had to atleast prepare my body from the upcomming threats in which i was going
to be definitely involved now....
