Moving out at night, Raze and the others acted like they were simply going out for a night walk. The inn manager paid no heed to them and thought nothing about it.
Raze ensured that he spoke to no one about this other than the four of them. He could have decided to try to gather so information from the townspeople about the knights, but there was a heavy risk that the sa people would end up going to the knights to tell on him, so he refused.
"What exactly is the plan?" Gavin asked as they walked.
"Nothing much, we just have to find out what’s happening in the manor. We’ll find a way to sneak in," he said.
"It would surely be heavily guarded, wouldn’t it?" Ella asked.
"Sure it would, but once I get close enough, I’ll be able to find a way in for sure," Raze said.
They kept walking until finally the manor ca into view. Raze imdiately tried to search it with God’s Eye. It penetrated the compound and moved toward the house, but instantly it was stopped, repelled by sothing.
Raze frowned. There was a magical formation around the entire house and it was blocking out all observation. This made him even more curious. He opened his third eye and tried again. This ti it penetrated inside, but he could only go twenty feet in before his God’s Eye couldn’t spread any deeper.
"Whoever made this formation must be a skilled mage at the very least. I need to get closer," Raze thought. He scanned the entire compound, picking out the guards that were there. They numbered over twenty, which was a lot for a asly baron’s manor.
He found an opening still that would lead to a window in the house.
"I’ve found a way in. Follow ," he said before taking a turn into an alleyway. They followed behind, walking fast but quiet.
"What if the baron is really sick and there is actually nothing wrong with the place?" Gavin asked.
"Then we make the biggest apology that we have ever done in our lives," Raze replied.
After using multiple detours and ensuring that no one was looking at all, they moved toward the fence of the manor that was shrouded in darkness, easily crossing over it and entering the compound.
Imdiately, Raze crouched and moved toward the house. Their window was slim before a guard would head this way to check. They ca to the window made of wood. It only took a little strength from Raze for the bolts to snap.
The window seed to be connected to a small storeroom inside the manor, which was why it was made of such weak wood. Raze entered first, and then one by one they all followed, getting into the house.
The mont they were in, the atmosphere changed, imdiately becoming heavy and dark. It was as though so sort of evil was looming over them right at that mont.

Inside the office of the captain, a slamming sound could be heard, followed with the shallow and breathless cry of a lady. It was hard to tell if the sounds she was making were of pleasure or pain, and her face could not be seen as the captain covered it with his wide hand while he carried out the act, his second hand wrapped around her waist as she leaned against the wall, pulling her in so hard like he wanted to shatter her. He let out deep groans every few seconds, evidently enjoying himself.
Then suddenly, a buzz ca from the table, shaking the entire table, pulling the attention of the captain. His eyes bolted to the table, his face twisting in anger. He pulled out of her and she imdiately collapsed to the ground as he pulled up his pants and walked to the table. He pulled out the drawer and there was a small crystal with runes engraved on it.
He pulled it out, placed it on the table, and infused so mana into it. Imdiately, a projection of the manor showed, with glowing dots inside to show each person that was inside.
He frowned when he noticed that the original ten people that were ant to be inside had sohow climbed to fourteen, aning four people had entered sohow. He instantly had an inkling as to who it was, because no one in this town would dare do such unless they didn’t know what could befall them, like strangers.
"Roger!" The captain’s voice thundered through the air. A few seconds later, a guard ca rushing in.
"Captain, you called?"
"Head to the inn that those kids were in, and find out if they are still there. Rush, I need to know now," he bellowed. The guard saluted imdiately and turned to leave.
Imdiately he was gone, the captain pulled out a full black armor set with a horned helt and a massive greatsword, placing all on the table. He dressed himself in it as fast as he could, and when he was done, he looked like a ssenger of death sent to hack through souls.
"Stay here. Whatever you need, call to my n and they will have it for you. I’m not done with you, I’d like to finish later," he said, and then walked to the door, walking out.
Roger returned, eting the captain outside.
"Captain, the innkeeper said they left this evening, and they aren’t back yet."
"Hmmmmmmmm." The captain groaned and then began walking. "Take care of the lady in the room. I’ll be back to have her after I’m done exterminating so pests." He walked off.
When he was gone, Roger walked to his office and pushed the door open. He saw the lady in the corner. He peeked outside again to ensure no one was coming, then he shut the door and locked it. His lips curled into a nasty smile. He walked over to her and grabbed her by her hair. She squealed in pain, tears falling from her eyes.
"The captain is gone for now, so I’ll have a little fun."
