Returning to his room, His roommate wasn’t there anymore, but he could tell from the scattered bed and the soft sll of perspiration that sothing ungodly had happened here.

He ignored it though and walked to his bed. Before opening the ring, he already knew how spatial rings worked; he just had to pour in mana, and it would instantly beco his own, forever sealed to him.

He did that and was instantly allowed into the ring, his consciousness dragged in. He could see around the void space of the ring and everything inside, a stack of gold and a golden card, the one that would allow him to get a loan wherever.

"This is great," he muttered with a smile before pulling his consciousness out.

"Finally, it’s ti to head back for a bit," he said and got up. Ella would be mad that he wasn’t around, but he figured she should be used to it by now, right?

"No, she’ll probably hate if I go away for the second ti. I should probably just get sothing ready that will help her." He ca to that conclusion, sitting at his table and starting to write.

He made a full description of what she had to do and what not to do when practicing silent casting. When he was done, he decided to find her, using the sa thod he had used before, heading to the second year. Luckily, this ti, before he could actually reach there, he saw her headed out of the second-year wing with her hands wrapped around a book.

The mont she saw him, her expressionless face brightened up; she rushed in his direction. "Seems soone ca to see today," she spoke with a smile.

"Yeah, yeah, needed to drop sothing with you before I left," he said.

"You are leaving? Again?" she asked.

"Well yeah, I’ve been away from Ribest for a while. I need to head there. I’ll be back in a few days though, because I need to collect my real bat from Rufus," he stated.

"Wait, what? The journey takes about a day on its own, how are you going to go and get back?" she asked.

"Don’t worry about that, I have a way," he replied.

She frowned at his vague answer. "Then I’m coming with," she stated.

"Huh? No, no, not at all," he said.

"I am. I’m already done with most of my academic work, caught up in lessons and everything. And rember, much like you, I am not bound to the academy all the ti," she stated.

"Still, I can’t bring you along, Ella, sorry," Raze said.

"I’m pretty sure that whatever ans you are about to use to get to Ribest quick isn’t particularly legal. If you don’t let , I’ll tell Lady Green," she said.

"You are threatening ?" he asked in shock.

"Yes, I am. So let co with," she insisted.

"Why do you even want to co back to Ribest? All I’ll be doing is so developnt and other stuff," Raze said.

"Well, I’ll be closer to you, so you can train , and I also get to see what ridiculous changes you bring next," she stated.

"Sigh, fine, just know that whatever thod you see use, you’ll never tell anyone without my permission."

"Yes, yes, I promise," she replied.

"Then follow ." He led the way, going back to his room. When they arrived, she was a bit confused. Weren’t they ant to be leaving?

Raze opened the door and walked in; she followed behind.

’I’m inside a room alone with Raze... what could he possibly want to do here?’ Her mind began racing as she watched him. Raze felt her lingering gaze and then looked at her. Their eyes locked, and for so reason, her heartbeat got faster.

"Stop staring at ," Raze suddenly said, shattering the entire atmosphere. He stood up straight. "Give a minute."

"A minute for what?" she asked, but his eyes were already closed. After half a minute, a gate appeared as he finished visualizing the compound of their ho in Ribest.

Ella was instantly stunned, her eyes widened till they couldn’t go more.

"Is—is that a gate?" she stuttered, the shock written all over her face.

"I’ll explain when we are there. I don’t want a teacher to sense it," Raze said and then grabbed her hand, pulling her through the gate.

When they stepped out, they were already in the compound of the house in Ribest.

"Phew, I actually got it right," he said, letting go of her hand and then collapsing to his knees.

"Riven!" Ella called out, bending down to help him.

"Don’t worry about , I just exhausted all my mana to transport us here. I didn’t think it would work. I guess I have more mana than I think," he said. He took a deep breath and used the technique he learned to gather his mana back while using his Qi to power his body so he could stand.

He got back on his feet, stretched his body a bit, and he was good.

"You just transported us the distance that would take a horse a full day of nonstop riding in an instant. How, when did you learn space magic?" she asked.

But before Raze could even think of responding, he saw Elaine heading his way. She was literally running with a bright smile on her face.

"You, master!" she called out before throwing her hands around his neck, almost tackling him to the ground with the hug.

Ella stood to the side watching, and for so reason, her chest tightened when she saw the way Elaine hugged him. It made her feel bad and pissed, but she knew this was normal—Elaine and Raze were far closer than she and Raze. Elaine was literally his most trusted and loved person, so a hug like that was expected.

’I know all that, yet why does it hurt to see it? Why?’
