On the rooftop of a building, two figures could be seen.

They were both hugging each other, or at least that was what it looked like.

But actually...

'Stop... Stop... Stop...'

Arin kept muttering in his head.

Though, he could already feel it. He was stopping.

And finally, with one final burst of determination, he removed his fangs from Tessa's neck.

His eyes widened as he gripped Tessa, stopping her from falling.

"That felt... good."

The image of him drinking her blood directly from her neck continued flashing in his head, almost making him attack her again.

But he was able to stop himself.

Tessa's eyes fluttered open as she gasped.

Arin knew that he wouldn't be able to hold her for long, so he guided her to sit down on the floor of the rooftop, and he sat down in front of her.

"Hey, how are you feeling now...?"

Tessa gripped Arin's hands as she replied, "Still kinda dizzy but I think I'm fine..."

'If I hadn't stopped myself on ti, I would have made her end up in a bad situation,' Arin thought.

Tessa suddenly winced as she stared at Arin. "Though, I'm feeling a slight pain... I can't quite explain what it is, but it's almost as if my insides are burning slightly..."

Arin instantly knew what was causing that pain.

"It's because your Mana is still present in your body while Blood Energy is in your body. If you hadn't gathered your Mana in a single location like I asked you to, the Blood Energy would have completely erased your Mana."

What this ant was that, in order for that pain to stop, her Blood Energy and Mana would have to coexist.

It wasn't impossible, after all, that old man did it with the Vampires.

And Arin also did it when he made his Mana cover his Blood Energy, so that the sun wouldn't affect him.

Though, even if he didn't do that, the sun still wouldn't have affected him that much due to him being a Progenitor.

Arin stared at Tessa with a thoughtful expression.

'But if Blood Energy is already in her body, why am I not seeing any changes...?'

That was when he realized that a notification must have appeared, but he was too imrsed in drinking her blood that he must have missed it.

But before he could even check the system screen, Tessa suddenly began breathing heavily.

"Arin... I... I think sothing is going on..." Tessa said, her voice slightly shaky.

Arin gripped Tessa's shoulders as he looked at her directly in the eyes.

"Calm down... Whatever is happening, let it happen, but make sure to be connected with your Mana, and keep it in that sa spot, okay?"

Tessa nodded rapidly as she began sweating profusely.

It didn't take long for the changes to start occurring.

Her fingernails began elongating, turning into sharp claws.

Fangs sprouted from her mouth, not too long, but sharp.

"Ugh..." Tessa groaned as a pained expression appeared on her face.

Arin still kept his hands on her shoulders as if reassuring her.

The next change quickly occurred.

Her blue eyes began changing colour, turning to crimson.

And then, her hair began changing.

Her black bluish-pink hair began growing longer than before.

It now reached her waist.

The color also began changing to pure white, and within a few seconds, it was completely white.

Imdiately after that, the pain Tessa was feeling subsided, and her breathing beca a bit steady.

But the slight burning pain was still present.

Arin smiled slightly as he looked at her.

These changes were proof that she was now a Vampire.

Tessa's crimson eyes were fixated on Arin. She furrowed her brows before speaking:

"Arin... I feel different."

Before Arin could say anything, Tessa added:

"And... Hungry."

Arin raised a brow. He knew that the kind of "hungry" Tessa was talking about wasn't about food.

But that aside...

"Give a second," Arin said, and Tessa nodded.

He quickly opened the system screen, and as expected, a red dot was at the bottom of the screen, signifying that he had unread notifications.

He tapped the dot, and the notifications popped up.

[You have bitten a human.]

[Blood Energy Transferring...]

[Blood Energy Transfer complete!]

[The human is changing...]

[Congratulations! You have successfully turned a human into a Vampire. The Vampire is now a mber of your family.]

[Alert! The human's blood is compatible!]

[The human has turned into a different breed of Vampires.]

"Huh?"

Arin raised a brow, confused about this particular notification, but he continued reading the next notifications.

[Na: Tessa???]

[Race: Vampire Soulmancer.]

[Status: Feeling slight pain.]

[Rank: Vampire General.]

Arin's eyes skimd through the notifications, and he couldn't help but be confused about a few things.

'Okay, let get things straight a bit... She successfully turned into a Vampire... And then, there's this stuff about family which I don't understand, and there's also sothing about her blood being compatible and being a different breed...'

Arin sighed.

In a nutshell, the only thing he understood was that Tessa successfully turned into a Vampire.

Apart from that, the rest were confusing, and only Seraphine or Roxanne would be able to explain them to him.

He tried asking the system about them, but he didn't get any response... As usual.

'Though, I can feel a certain kind of connection with her... It's almost as if I can....'

Arin's eyes suddenly widened as he realized what he was feeling.

'Wait... Is it possible....?'

Eager to test it out, he stared at Tessa.

"Hey, Tessa, relax. I want to try sothing."

Tessa nodded, still feeling weak and in pain.

Arin instantly focused on the connection he had with her.

The connection felt like a single rope that he could pull anyti he wanted.

And that was exactly what he did.

He willed it, and instantly, Tessa felt her Blood Energy move.

She furrowed her brows as she stared at Arin. "Did you do that?"

"What did you feel?" Arin replied with a question.

"Hmm, I felt my Blood Energy move... I think it was your doing because you seed to be concentrating..."

A smile instantly blossod on Arin's face.

"Perfect... That ans the connection I have with her lets control her Blood Energy," Arin whispered to himself.

Though, unlike before when Tessa wouldn't hear, she clearly heard Arin this ti.

This was proof that her hearing abilities have been enhanced.

"Alright, there's a way to stop that pain," Arin said.

"Okay, I'm ready," Tessa said.

Arin got up and walked behind Tessa before sitting down again.

"Close your eyes, concentrate on the Mana and Blood Energy inside you," Arin said. "I'll help you with your Blood Energy, and the mont you feel your Blood Energy condense into a single small ball, cover it with your Mana."

"Understood," Tessa said as she closed her eyes and instantly began doing what Arin said.

Arin also closed his eyes and placed his right hand on Tessa's back.

Instantly, he could feel her Blood Energy and felt connected to it as if it was his own.

Without wasting ti, he began controlling the Blood Energy, gathering it, and making it form a single ball.

This wasn't the first ti he was controlling Blood Energy, so it was very easy for him.

Within minutes, he had already condensed Tessa's Blood Energy into a single small ball, the size of a ping-pong ball.

And imdiately Tessa sensed it, she quickly moved her own Mana from the spot it was to where the Blood Energy was condensed.

She wrapped her Blood Energy with her Mana, but while doing so, a sharp pain suddenly spread around her body.

"Agh..." Tessa groaned, her brows furrowed in pain.

But she bore through the pain.

She continued, slowly covering the Blood Energy with the Mana.

And finally....

Her eyes snapped open.

Arin also opened his eyes, and when he saw Tessa, her appearance had already changed.

Her hair returned to its original length, and beca black bluish-pink again.

Her fingernails and eyes also beca normal, and her fangs disappeared.

"Good..." Arin muttered.

Tessa smiled as she turned back to look at Arin. "The pain has stopped..."

Arin nodded as he asked, "Can you turn back to your Vampire form again?"

"I can, and for so reason, I feel like I won't feel that pain anymore even if I do so."

Arin knew that. As long as she has successfully covered her Blood Energy with her Mana, even if she releases her Blood Energy again, she wouldn't feel the pain.

Quickly, Tessa released her Blood Energy, making her transform into her Vampire form again.

She clenched her fists.

"I can feel it, Arin... My senses are heightened... I feel stronger, faster..."

Now, she didn't even regret her decision in the slightest.

"I'm glad it went well," Arin said.

But moving on to more important matters...

He stared at Tessa as his expression beca serious.

He knew that Tessa wasn't the usual Vampire.

She was different... A different breed.

"Tessa... I believe you instinctively know your abilities now. Tell ... What can you do?"
