The conversation with the Microsoft representative continued, "We’re interested in acquiring the permanent rights to your patent, Maximillian. Your GAI Weather application has caught our attention, and we believe it has great potential."

I leaned back in my chair, contemplating the offer.

It was intriguing, but I needed to ensure it was the right move.

"Thank you for your interest, John. Selling the rights to my patent is a significant decision. What’s your proposal?"

"We’re prepared to offer you $50 million for the permanent rights to your patent and your GAI Weather application."

I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at the figure.

It was a tempting offer, but I knew this was no ordinary deal.

In my thoughts, I considered the potential uses for such a substantial sum.

There were so significant things I could do with that money.

"That’s certainly an enticing offer, John. Let consult with my legal counsel on this matter. I’ll get back to you soon with our decision."

"Of course, Maximillian. We understand the importance of careful consideration. Take your ti, and when you’re ready, we can discuss the details."

I hung up the phone with John and turned to Olivia, who had been listening to the conversation with keen interest.

Olivia couldn’t hold back and asked, "Max, how much was the offer?"

I replied, "They offered $50 million."

Her jaw dropped at the substantial figure, but I continued, "I still need to contact my lawyer, Lawrence, to discuss this. It’s a big decision, and I want to make sure it’s the right move."

Deep down, I had a feeling there was no reason to pass up on such an opportunity. However, I also knew that I could still negotiate for a better deal.

I realized that the money from this deal could greatly benefit my monopole research and what I had planned after that.

Following the lunch at the cafeteria with Olivia, I focused my mind back on my research.

The next day, Lydia and I moved our research to a different lab without missing a beat.

We carried on with our experints, testing the compounds diligently, and achieved an astounding 99.8% monopole properties.

I took a mont to explain the ongoing situation with Lin to Lydia and shared my intention to have her join for the eting with the lawyers the following day.

I also extended an invitation to Rick, who had seen working on the theory in my room.

Rick readily agreed to offer his help in the case.

I had initially hoped that my new car would be ready for us to travel to New York, but unfortunately, it wasn’t the case.

We had to rely on an Uber.

Lydia, Rick, and I arrived at the law firm building in New York, dressed in smart yet comfortable business casual attire.

As we entered the modern and sleek office space, a spacious, well-lit lobby with contemporary decor greeted us.

They adorned the reception area with polished wood and minimalist artwork.

We approached the reception counter, where a young and pleasant to the eyes receptionist welcod us, "Good afternoon. How may I assist you today?"

The law firm’s logo was prominently displayed behind the receptionist’s desk, and the office buzzed with the quiet hum of people engaged in their legal affairs.

"We have a scheduled eting with your firm.", I said

"Certainly, could I have your na, please?"

"Maximillian Sullivan"

"Thank you, Mr. Sullivan. You spoke with a lawyer from our firm?"

"Yes, I had a conversation with lawyer Lawrence Hamilton."

"Great, he’s a smart young man. Your eting is on the 3rd floor. Please take the elevator to reach the eting room."

With her guidance, we made our way to the elevator, ready for the upcoming eting with the lawyers.

As we ascended to the third floor, we entered a modern and sophisticated space.

Half-glass partitions separated different areas, allowing a glimpse of the bustling law firm in action.

Lawyers and their clients were engaged in discussions within the glass-walled rooms.

Just as we reached our designated floor, one lawyer inside a room spotted us and imdiately stood up.

He made his way to the door, and with a welcoming smile, he stepped out to greet us, ready to lead us into the eting room.

"Hello, there. It’s a pleasure to see you, Mr. Sullivan. I’m Lawrence Hamilton."

"Nice to et you, Lawrence."

"Before we head into the eting room, let introduce you to my colleague.", he pointed to the woman that ca behind him, "This is Lisa Harrison. She’ll be joining us for this discussion."

"Hello, Mr. Sullivan. It’s a pleasure to et you."

"Likewise, Lisa."

"Please, co on in. We’re all set up for our eting. Let’s have a seat."

"Mr. Sullivan, would you mind introducing the people you’re with?"

"Of course. This is Lydia, my research partner, and Rick, who has witnessed working on the project."

During our eting with lawyers Lawrence Hamilton and Lisa Harrison, we discussed the evidence at hand, and they agreed to take on the case.

They laid out a clear plan of action and emphasized that if Lin Innovations did not agree to retract their claim and pay the necessary penalties, they would escalate the matter to the court.

After our visit to New York, we returned to Boston.

The offers from Princeton and Harvard to give a speech still lingered in my thoughts, and I knew I had a decision to make regarding whether or not to accept these invitations.

While I didn’t want to co across as discourteous, I made the decision to decline the offer from Princeton as I believed it would demand too much of my ti.

Instead, I accepted the invitation from Harvard.

In response to Princeton, I expressed my gratitude and left the possibility open, stating that I might consider their offer in the future.

With my trip to Harvard scheduled in three days, I contacted my lawyer, Johnson, regarding the deal with Microsoft.

He assured he would reach out to them on my behalf and work on negotiating a more favorable agreent.

The following day, I received a ssage from the car dealership, informing that my brand-new BMW i5 was ready to be picked up.

I ntioned to Olivia that I was heading out to pick up my new car, and she showed keen interest in joining for the trip.

Olivia and I walked to the car dealership, and as we entered, I heard a familiar voice."Oh, Maximillian.", it was the lady who had sold the car.

She then added, "I knew it was you when I saw you on the internet,"

Curious, I asked, "On the internet? What do you an?"

She nodded and replied, "Yes, there are nurous articles about an 18-year-old student from MIT who solved a challenging math problem that had stumped everyone. And there’s your face on it."

With a nod, I responded, "Well, I had a feeling this might happen." She then directed to the car that had just arrived, ready for to take possession.

Olivia and I began to inspect the BMW i5 xDrive M60 that had just arrived.

The sleek and aerodynamic design, combined with its bold exterior color, exuded an air of elegance. We circled the car, checking out the exterior and noting its pristine condition.

Upon opening the doors, we were greeted by a spacious and luxurious interior.

The premium leather seats were comfortable and exquisitely crafted.

The dashboard was adorned with advanced technology, featuring a state-of-the-art infotainnt system and a digital instrunt cluster.

We took our ti exploring the car’s features, from the panoramic sunroof to the advanced safety systems.

With the inspection complete, I decided to pay off the remaining cost of the car in full, opting for no installnts.

Olivia took her place in the passenger seat, and we set off to drive my new car.

We found ourselves lost in the driving experience, exploring various scenic and interesting places in Massachusetts.

Making unplanned stops to enjoy the sights and experiences, I steered the car with my left hand while holding Olivia’s hand with my right.

Finally, we decided to have dinner. I only let go of Olivia’s hand when we arrived at the restaurant.

Dinner was fantastic, and we both savored a hearty steak with a side of roasted vegetables. Olivia and I enjoyed the delicious al, savoring the flavors and each other’s company.

On the way back we stopped to charge the car.

Unbeknownst to , as I headed to the shop next to the EV charge station, Olivia discreetly changed inside the car, swapping her jeans for sothing slightly more revealing.

As I got back into the car Oliv leaned over and kissed , a short, sweet peck on the lips.

I was slightly surprised.

However, that’s when I looked at her.

She had changed from her jeans and sweater that she wore, to a scandalously short button front mini, and a dark pink peasant blouse.
