A year had passed, and with a loud "waah," a newborn was brought into the world within the humble ho of a common farr in a remote corner of the Wizard World.

Not long after, a wandering wizard took the newborn away from the farr’s ho and nad him Abertanir, differing by only one character from Abatanik, the previous World’s Chief Guardian.

Soon, news ca from the Wizard King’s Tower. The current Witch King had taken a new disciple and declared the disciple’s na to be Abertanir in mory of the forr Witch King.

The various forces within the world didn’t have much of a reaction; such a move was utterly normal for him.

Moreover, these forces were busy gathering troops and preparing materials to attack the Fungus World, with no ti to care about these matters.

After all, the Wizard World had never heard of reincarnation, no one had ever been reborn, so naturally, they did not entertain such thoughts.

After five full years of preparation, the gathered Wizard World United Army, exceeding five million under the command of the three Guardians, invaded the Fungus World and swiftly breached its seven major fortresses, using these strongholds as bases to comnce a full-scale invasion and conquer the fungal people.

The Mushroom n possessed five Rank 7 Great Emperor level strong, but three were killed within minor worlds, one was captured, and the remaining two, with the ho-field advantage of the Main World, could still face three Rank 7 Children of the Spirit Realm head-on.

However, the previous Expeditionary Army of the Mushroom n suffered such trendous losses that their strength below Rank 7 couldn’t compare to the Wizard World United Army, not to ntion the disparities in command and individual strength. In a series of battles, they were defeated, just as the Wizard Alliance Army had been repeatedly beaten back by their onslaught before.

Yet, this streak of victories slowed down as the occupied territories expanded and the Allied Forces had to start dividing their troops.

Without a superior force, they had to slow their assault in the face of the fungal people’s universal resistance.

Just like the Wizard World, aside from the thirty-three ancient covenant forces, there are many small organizations, both average and high-end in terms of strength, but when added together, they are nurous. Likewise, the Fungus World, when plunged into the vast seas of total war, saw the battlefront slowly stalemating, with sluggish progress.

Fortunately, this was all within the predictions of the Allied Forces. After all, they were dealing with a world nearly as strong as the Main World, and a comprehensive conquest was certainly not going to be easy.

Furthermore, after so ti, when the Fungus World calls back its forces from other conquered worlds, they will not be powerless to resist. Then, the Allied Forces will still need to fight nurous battles on the enemy’s ho turf, where victory is not guaranteed.

Of this, the three Schools of the Spirit Realm are the most enthusiastic. Ever since the Old Sorcerer King passed away, and Lin Xiao erged from seclusion without leaving the Main World, the three of them stood out as the strongest among this massive army comprising all the world’s forces. If the Allied Forces wished to win, they would have to rely heavily on these three.

This naturally ant that they could claim more benefits, as well as higher status and prestige.

Thankfully, they were self-aware enough to know that commanding such a large-scale civilizational war was not their forte, so they did not usurp power.

But they spared no effort in seizing prestige, continually elevating their own and undermining Lin Xiao’s.

Lin Xiao was very aware of these dynamics; he could clearly understand everything they were doing.

Although the majority of forces now had little faith in him, and even many from the dispatched Guard Legions were swayed, there were still those loyal to him.

Like the subordinates left to him by the Old Sorcerer King and a few forces hedging their bets—there are always gamblers in any world, willing to bet boldly on his victory and secretly passing him information.

So even without sending a single projection, he was able to clearly grasp the situation of the Allied Forces within the Fungus World.

Of course, there was a certain delay.

Two colossal worlds engaged in a super-war involving no less than ten billion beings, while he spent his days inside the Wizard King’s Tower, ceaselessly absorbing the Ancestor Power shared by his wife, as well as teaching his disciple.

He didn’t take Abertanir as a disciple casually; he was genuinely teaching him personally.

Abertanir had already inherited his original strength, but his mories had not yet returned.

Currently too weak, and his mories from over two hundred thousand years vast like a sea of smoke, Abertanir certainly couldn’t accept all of them now. He must reach a certain level of strength before he could slowly start to rember.

Before then, he needed to lay a solid foundation for himself anew.

It was not only about various types of wizard knowledge, but also the reconstructed wizard models and knowledge that he re-analyzed through the Tower of Truth, to provide him with a better foundation. This would enable him to beco even more powerful in the future, serving as a way to repay the Old Sorcerer King for taking such good care of him.

At the sa ti, Lin Xiao could also take this opportunity to completely focus and understand all of the knowledge within the library of the Wizard King’s Tower before leaving this world. He endeavored to fully grasp the wizard system and combine it with the systems of mage arcanists and even magicians to mutually verify and complent each other. He hoped to rge the strengths of both to develop a new, powerful profession.

In the future...

For now, the main task was to accumulate knowledge of the wizard system. Specific derivations should be left for after he returned, considering he had not yet fully mastered many aspects of the magician system and the unique mythological knowledge studied by scientists and mages of the Main World.

There was no telling how many Crystal Wall Universes the Main World had conquered, nor how many mage-like magic professions he had encountered. Each major power had scholars who studied these matters; these were the knowledge bases built up by predecessors, and he had enough privileges to learn all that knowledge.

As days turned into years, Abertanir gradually grew up. Under his guidance, Abertanir slowly inherited the power from his previous life, with his spiritual power and mana growing stronger and stronger. In just a short span of ten years, at the age of sixteen, he ignited the Light of Dawn within his heart, successfully advancing to beco the youngest Dawn Wizard in history.

After ascending to the rank of Dawn Wizard, he gradually began to receive the mories of his past life, and his strength continued to grow.

Lin Xiao watched this progress with great satisfaction.

He just had to wait for him to grow up. Once he ascended to Rank 7, Lin Xiao could pass the position of Witch King to Abertanir and then he could leave carefreely.

With a True Body equivalent to late Rank 8, coupled with the continuous strength provided by his wife Tishar through the Dream Ancestor Power, his strength would only grow indefinitely. In the entire Wizard World, aside from the progenitors, he feared no one, and he was now ready to enter the Tomb of Myriad Gods to vie for the Ancestor’s Mark left by the Divine Emperor.

Lin Xiao eagerly anticipated this. He already had one Ancestor’s Mark, and he wondered what the result would be if he obtained another.

This was probably an unprecedented privilege that no one in history had ever enjoyed.

It wasn’t that no one had ever co into contact with different Ancestor’s Marks; it’s just that usually, the powers of Ancestor’s Marks tend to repel each other. No one except a progenitor or an equal-leveled being could suppress this repulsion. So no matter how many Ancestor’s Marks were within reach for you to choose from, typically, one could only fuse with a single Ancestor’s Mark.

Lin Xiao was fortunate, as his body currently housed an Ancestor. With the Divine Emperor having fallen and without the will of the progenitor, with Tishar’s power, he could easily suppress the All-Embracing Progenitor Mark, thereby achieving the containnt of two Ancestor’s Marks at the sa ti.

Thinking of this filled him with anticipation.

In the fiftieth year, Abertanir finally inherited all of the power from his past life and attained the pinnacle of Rank 6. Lin Xiao opened all the magic arrays inside the Wizard King’s Tower and allowed him to enter the secret chamber within the tower. At the sa ti, as the Chief Guardian, he communicated with the World Will to channel the World Origin Force into his body, aiding in the subli transformation of his will.

anwhile, after fifty years of warfare, the Wizard World United Army finally defeated many of the main forces of the Mushroom n, advancing to the central region of the Mushroom World which was held by a World Guardian and another Great Emperor Level Strong being.

The Chief Guardian of the Mushroom World communicated with the will of the Mushroom World, accumulating the fortune of the entire world upon himself. As the world was gradually being conquered and retreating, the fortune beca increasingly rich, reaching its peak as they arrived at the central region of the world. The accumulated fortune then abruptly forced the Guardian to break through the limits of Rank 7, ascending to beco a Rank 8 Mushroom Man Emperor.

With ho-ground advantage, three newly-stabilized Child of the Spirit Realm beings combined forces, along with the overwhelming assistance from major powers of the Main World. Nevertheless, they were unable to suppress their opponents, and both sides thus beca deadlocked at this juncture.

The world’s backlash is both the final struggle of a trapped beast and the last stand of a world’s foundation; whenever a world is on the verge of destruction, it will inevitably spawn many children of fortune to save the world.

Many believe this to be the world’s final act of defiance, nothing more than the struggles of a trapped beast; as long as the confrontation is sustained to the end, the fortune will eventually be depleted.

That’s easy to say, but since it’s the world’s last resistance and bottom-line defense, naturally it won’t be easy. Perhaps the wizards of the Wizard World have conquered many small and dium-sized worlds and have witnessed many worlds’ final resistance being eventually suppressed, which leads to a sense of complacency, believing that as usual, they just need to hold out until the end to claim victory.

However, they have underestimated the underlying strength of a world nearly as powerful as the Wizard World. For a powerful world capable of producing Rank 8 strong beings, it would not be so easily conquered.

After ten long years of siege, not only did they fail to conquer the last stronghold of the Mushroom n, but during the brutal war, over a dozen children of fortune from the Mushroom World grew rapidly. Among them, two who survived until the end rose up in battle, their wills transcendent, advancing to beco new Mushroom Man Emperors.

That battle marked the Wizard Alliance Army’s first taste of defeat in over sixty years, and it proved to be the turning point in this lengthy and hard-fought battle.

Having both an additional Rank 8 Mushroom Man and three Rank 7 Great Emperor Level Strong Mushroom n, the Mushroom n launched a counterattack after defeating the Wizard Alliance Army. With an absolute advantage in top-level forces, unchallenged by any Rank 8 beings, and even though the middle and lesser forces and legions were not dominant, the Mushroom n focused attacks on the three Soul Race beings, driving the Allied Forces into retreat. Eventually, the forces were pushed back a thousand kiloters. It was only by pre-emptively arranging a Huge Magic Array on a plain and harnessing the array’s power combined with a great number of wizards’ strength were they able to halt the Mushroom n’s military advance.
