Chapter 509 – Sona’s Peerage VS Yachiru Unohana: Round Two (I)…
[Sitri Mansion, Kuoh Town]
"Sona, it seems that you have grown a lot stronger while I was gone. Now, I want to know how much you have improved… Attack and don't hold back anything or I would be disappointed" Yachiru declared politely, shocking everyone except for Sona and her Peerage.
"I think it would be better if my new Knight sits out of this fight. She is new and she is just getting the hang of it" Sona requested loudly and Yachiru simply inclined her head in agreent. Sona imdiately looked towards her new Knight and the girl seed to be sowhat disappointed, but she still moved away.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! Are you really going to fight? No expectations at all?!" Azazel asked incredulously. He couldn't take the silence any longer. Yachiru didn't even bother to amuse the man with an answer.
Sona simply turned towards Rias's Peerage and Azazel. "It would be better if you all moved away" That was all Sona said before she signalled her Tsubaki.
"Promotion, Queen!!" Genshirou Saji exclaid loudly and at the sa ti, black gauntlets and knee pads appeared on his body. While training with Azazel has helped him a lot to get a hang of his Sacred Gear.
Azazel wasn't happy with the developnt, but there wasn't much he could do, so he simply signalled Rias and her Peerage to back away from the fight. Collateral damage was the last thing he needed right now.
Tomoe guri, Genshirou Saji, were the first ones who made a move. The two of them rushed towards Yachiru followed by Tsubasa Yura. Momo Hanakai, Reya Kusaka the two Bishops of Sona Sitri were joined by Sona Sitri and Tsubaki Shinra. All four of them raised their hands and several Magical Circles appeared in front of them.
Monts later, hundreds of Magical attacks were raining down towards Yachiru. Azazel kept watching everything with a little bit of awe in his eyes. The attacks weren't anything out of the ordinary, but all of them were lethal attacks and their coordination was simply brilliant. They only needed minute gestures to communicate.
Rias didn't even know why Sona would use a formation like that, but she wasn't going to say anything. She decided to watch the whole fight and gather all the information she could. Rias knew that Sona's Peerage was a lot stronger than her own Peerage, so gathering so information might co in handy in the future.
"Bakudo #81, Danku" Yachiru muttered in a relaxed manner and a translucent shield appeared in front of her. All the Magical attacks clashed against the shield, but the shield didn't even crack. Azazel's eyes were shining in excitent, while Rias couldn't believe her eyes. How could a flimsy shield like that stop all those attacks was simply beyond her.
anwhile, Yachiru used Flash Step to appear behind the group of four Magicians, but as soon as she appeared, she found Tsubaki Shinra standing in front of her while brandishing her Naginata. Yachiru was slightly surprised, but she didn't show it on her face.
Yachiru wanted to avoid Tsubaki, that is why appeared on the opposite side of the group, but she guessed that the group must have been expecting a move like that, so Tsubaki was probably ready to make a move. Yachiru smiled, even though the group was ready for her, it didn't an that they could stop her.
Tsubaki swung her Naginata and Yachiru easily parried the attack with her bare hands. Tsubaki didn't look surprised and she simply lowered her head. Sona was standing right behind Tsubaki and as soon as Tsubaki was out of the way, Sona released a stream of Purple Flas at Yachiru.
Yachiru casually raised her hand towards the incoming attack. "Hado #88, Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raiho" A massive lightning bolt erupted out of Yachiru's palm, blowing away the flas and a shocked Sona and Tsubaki had to jump away from the incoming destructive attack.
Both Azazel and Rias along with her Peerage mbers gaped at the attack. If anyone was caught in that attack then they would have been severely injured, if not dead. Yachiru was no longer pulling any punches, but both Azazel and Rias knew better. Both of them had seen what the woman could do.
Sona's new Knight kept watching the whole scene with pure disbelief in their eyes. To be honest, she didn't know what to expect from the fight, but she knew how strong Sona and the other mbers were. So, she couldn't fathom why Sona and the other mbers were being so careful. The woman didn't seem to be much, but she did have so odd powers.
Thankfully Sona's Bishops had already moved away. When Tsubaki was attacking Yachiru, they decided to back away as they were completely useless in lee combat against soone like Yachiru Unohana. Once again, Yachiru used Flash Step to move away from her spot as she didn't want to give them any ti to recover.
This ti Yachiru appeared near the Tsubasa Yura. She was the slowest mber in Sona's Peerage. Usually, Saji was the slowest, but right now he has promoted himself to the position of the Queen. The Bishops were the easiest targets, but Saji and guri were already guarding the Bishops.
Tsubasa Yura stiffened and stopped running. She twisted her body and kicked at Yachiru, but Yachiru easily parried Tsubasa's leg towards the ground. The foot landed on the ground creating spiderweb-like cracks on ground. But Tsubasa didn't stop, she threw a punch towards Yachiru.
She still rembered what happened the last ti and she really wanted to avoid getting defeated in such an embarrassing manner. She wanted to at least land a blow on Yachiru or buy as much ti as she could before the others could help her. She wasn't delusional enough to think that she could defeat Yachiru.
But unfortunately for Tsubasa, Yachiru's plans were very different. Yachiru grabbed Tsubasa's arm and then she yanked at the arm with a lot of force, pulling it out of the socket. Tsubasa wanted to scream, but Tsubasa could do that, Yachiru jabbed her fist on Tsubasa's throat, crushing it. Then Yachiru slamd her palm in between Tsubasa's chest. Tsubasa was blown away several feet.
Internally Yachiru smiled in satisfaction, now Sona's Peerage would act irrationally, making it easier for her and Yachiru wasn't disappointed when she noticed Saji rushing towards her in her peripheral vision. Saji had a look of fury etched on his face.
"No! Saji!!" Sona's scream was heard from so distance. Saji finally realized what he had done, but it was too late for him. Yachiru's hand shot out and slamd on his sternum. Saji grimaced when he heard several of his bones snapping under the pressure of the blow, but he finally noticed that Yachiru was yet to withdraw her hand.
"Hado #31, Shakkaho" A red explosion engulfed Saji and blasted away just like Tsubasa Yura, but his torso was marred with very severe burns.
"Hado #4, Byakurai!" Before anyone could get over the fact that Saji was defeated. A lightning bolt erupted from fro Yachiru's finger and blew a hole through Reya Kusaka's stomach. The girl spat out so blood while clutching her stomach and dropped on the ground like a sack of potatoes.
"We need to stop them or she is going to kill them!!" Sona's new Knight scread as she rushed towards the battlefield, but she was knocked out by Azazel before she could even take more than two steps.
"Azazel… we need to stop them!!" Rias whispered furiously while looking at Azazel pleadingly.
Azazel simply shook his head as he placed Sona's new Knight on the ground. "Don't be a fool. If you jump into the fray then she would be obviously displeased and I for one don't want to displease her" Azazel said with a grim smile on his face. Rias gave the man a disbelieving look, but Akeno placed a hand on Rias's arm to stop her from doing anything stupid.
"Sona… I wouldn't lie, I am very impressed with the coordination of your Peerage, but there is still room for improvents" Yachiru said with a gentle smile as she glanced towards Saji. Sona's face remained completely impassive, but internally she was grimacing. Due to Saji's stupidity, she lost two mbers within a second.
Sona thought that she had gotten rid of Saji's bullheadedness, but it seed like she needed to have another chat with him after he was completely healed. Yachiru tilted her head kindly and once again she used Flash Step. Sona's head whipped in the direction of Momo Hanakai and Tomoe guri, but she was surprised to find that Yachiru didn't attack the two of them.
So, she imdiately turned towards Tsubaki. Apparently, Yachiru had decided to attack Tsubaki. "Hado #78, Zangerin" Yachiru slashed her hand, releasing a yellow whip in the direction of Tsubaki. The other girl imdiately activated her Sacred Gear.
"Mirror Alice!" Tsubaki scread and a full body mirror appeared in front of her. Yachiru's attack landed on the mirror and it was reflected back towards Yachiru with double power. Yachiru's eyes grew wide for a mont as this was the first ti she saw Tsubaki's Sacred Gear.
'Sacred Gears, such a nifty tool' Yachiru mused inside her mind. "El Escudo" Yachiru waved her hand in front of her and a green translucent barrier ford in front of her. The whip landed on the barrier, making it crack, but it was unable to break through the barrier.
Monts later, both the attack and barrier dispersed into thin air. anwhile, Tsubaki glanced towards Sona with a aningful look on her face. Sona seed to contemplate about sothing, but only after a mont, she nodded her head. Then Sona glanced towards Rias and her Peerage and released a defeated sigh.
"Balance Breaker: Nostalgia Mad Tea Party!" Tsubaki exclaid, activating her Balance Breaker…
