Once Harley shifted, her dress slumped to the floor and in place of the silvery-haired woman, a small palm size canary ruffled its wings before picking up the small stone-like beast ball in its beak, shot a quick look at the maids and head maid sleeping in the carriage and only then did it hopped to the window of the carriage and perched on the sill, as it peeked its tiny head out and looked left and right, the guards were situated very securely along the carriage in which Bree was riding except the shiny white carriage, no knight was around the carriage in which six maids were riding —— the silvery white canary snorted in annoyance before spreading its wings and shooting right inside the forest.
As soon as it flew to the forest, one of the knights turned around and looked behind his shoulders causing the other knights to look along with him. Seeing that the red-haired knight was looking carefully around the back, the other knights couldn’t help but ask, "What’s wrong?"
" I thought I just felt sothing fly past the carriage just now," said the red-haired knight with a frown, he swore that even if he wasn’t looking behind, his senses were sharper than others, so it was impossible for him to miss the flapping of the wings behind him. " Just now I heard sothing, and even saw a flash of white, should I go and check it out?"
" Co on, Darren, you are being overly sensitive," one of the knights riding at the back of the line rolled his eyes and patted Darren on the shoulders. " Look around we are in a forest, surely you are going to find so sort of birds and insects flying around, there is no need for you to think so much about just a flapping of wings, all right?"
Darren still felt like sothing was wrong but he agreed with his senior, maybe he was being a bit too sensitive right now after all the General asked him to be very attentive towards the Queen and he took his first assignnt really seriously. The Queen’s safety was directly handed to him and he was the head guard at the mont, if sothing went wrong then he would be the one who would be questioned.
It was after a very long pause that Darren was willing to look away from the spot where he felt sothing was hiding, he wanted to go and check it out but didn’t want to leave the Queen alone, what if it was just a bird and from what he saw the thing looked small enough to kill, so there shouldn’t be any trouble, right?
Once Darren turned his head away, the canary hiding behind the tree trunk flew out and heaved a breath of relief, this knight was as always too sensitive, if she wasn’t quick enough right now then she would have been caught by it, Harley heaved a sigh and then started to fly through the long path, if she wanted to drop this ball at the accurate spot then she needed to make sure that no one will be able to catch her.
The knights in Bree’s security didn’t sense that a maid with extra greed and ambition escaped past their security, Harley knew that the knights looked down on the oga so much that they didn’t even think about wasting their energy to ensure their safety after all in their eyes, ogas weren’t so sort of rare and important creatures to be protected. As she flew higher and higher she felt a sense of great accomplishnt building inside her heart, now that she was past the security range she was sure that she will be able to take down Bree’s security without even the slightest bit of trouble. Hah, this will teach them a good lesson as to why they shouldn’t look down on an oga—— so what if they were weak? They had the smarts and the agility to make up for it!
She flew until she was far away from the carriages that were driving in her direction and then carefully took aim before dropping the beast ball from her beak onto the ground, she stayed on the spot, her wings flapping and when she saw that the beast ball was finally reacting as it started to dig inside the soil, an expectant feelings rose in her heart. Now, she will be able to get what she wanted —— once that annoying bitch was gone, she will be the queen sitting on the dragon throne and those four handso n will belong to her and her alone! She had enough of hiding behind the curtains and waiting for the four n to turn around and look at her.
This ti she will make sure that they were only able to look at her and no one else.
After the beast ball vanished from the spot, Harley knew she did not have much ti, so she excitedly flapped her wings and rushed back to the carriage and flew inside it without caring about being caught or not, after all, she was done handling her business and the beast ball was secured at the correct spot, there was no need for her to worry about being caught by the knights, even if they caught hold of her, she will simply say that she was tired and bored because of sitting inside the carriage and wanted to go out and have so ti alone, it wasn’t a cri.
Shifter liked their freedom and she was a canary, to begin with, there was no way she would like being cooped in this small carriage with these snoring won. She hurriedly shifted back and picked up her dress before slipping it on quickly, this was one of the reasons she wore this dress it was simple to take off and wear again, after she was done dressing up, she looked outside the window and was surprised when she caught hold of the red-haired knight’s gaze.
Darren once again felt that sothing flew past him when he wasn’t looking, as he turned to look back, he watched in surprise as a silvery head popped out from inside the carriage and then turned to look at him with a smile. He knew that this maid was called Harley and she was once very close to the consorts, she was even well-liked by many soldiers because she was cute and knew how to sweet talk with them, however, he didn’t like Harley.
Maybe it was his sensitive nerves that told him that sothing was wrong with this maid or maybe it was his quick understanding of people, though Harley never dared to act rudely in front of him, he was kind of sure that the maid wasn’t as simple as she looked because a simple and brainless oga wouldn’t be able to attract the attention of the consorts so easily as she did —— even though she wasn’t that liked by the consorts but no one could change the fact that this woman was the one who was well —— accepted by the consorts except the Queen.
This alone was enough to show how cunning and sly, she was.
He nodded at Harley out of politeness before turning to look in the front, forgetting it maybe he was being too conscious of his surroundings.
Once Darren turned around Harley heaved a sigh of relief, she was worried that this sharp-eyed knight would notice sothing but was now glad that he didn’t sense anything or else she would have been caught and interrogated by now.
Now that the tough task was over Harley felt an overwhelming perverse excitent as she looked out of the carriage—— her eyes locked eerily on the carriage in which Bree was and her lips curled in an evil smile. ’ Go on, let’s see how long can you ride that carriage in peace! I will be looking forward to watching your limbs getting torn bit by bit, but don’t bla too much after all who asked you to go against the leading lady? You should have died without struggling when you were supposed to die that way I wouldn’t have co up with such a ruthless plan to kill you, now that you are approaching your grueso death, you can only bla yourself for obstructing the path of this world’s protagonist but don’t worry I will take care of your throne and your n real good.’
Bree sneezed in the caravan she was riding and Yakov who was eyeing her from the sidelines carefully was startled upon seeing her sneeze. The dragon Queen actually sneezed what in the world was happening?
" Are you okay your majesty?" He asked taking out a handkerchief from his pocket and handing it to Bree who took it and wiped her nose with it. She too didn’t know why she sneezed so suddenly but she wasn’t as startled as Yakov instead she waved her hand and said, " I am——"
She didn’t get a chance to say ’fine’ as the ground underneath them started to shake and then ——BOOM! It exploded all over the place.
