There was sothing eerie about the forest they had entered. Neriah could not put her finger on it, but she could feel a certain kind of coldness entering every part of her system. Maybe it was just the night air. Maybe it was just cold. But was that really all? At so point she could swear the cold she was feeling was as though it was coming from the touch of a person. A person with very cold hands.

Again, maybe she was just being paranoid. She could barely see anything because of how she was placed upon the horse, she could only trust in her hearing. And she heard nothing.

Not even the sounds of crickets, nor the cooing of night birds, nor the howling of nocturnal beasts. Not a sound. It was just silence, cold, stiff silence. Even the wind seed to have stopped blowing at so point. All that remained was that cold in her bones.

Although the people chasing them had long desisted, his pace didn’t reduce. He still rode the horse like he was headed into battle. Neriah still couldn’t focus on using her powers.

She heard the man say sothing to the horse. It wasn’t words, just so sounds, and again, Neriah had that foolish thought that his voice sounded like her husband’s. And again she laughed at her foolishness.

The horse listened to the sound that the man had spoken to it and slowly, majestically, it trotted to a halt. The man jumped down from the back of the horse , and in a rather unkind manner, yanked her off the animal’s back.

One thing was clear to Neriah. Fighting him now was foolish. He wasn’t planning to kill her, this she seed to be sure of. Because he could have saved himself the trouble of bringing her with him if he was going to kill her. So she was certain he wasn’t planning her death.

That’s why for the anti, she planned to behave, using her powers now might not be such a brilliant idea after all.

She just had to wait, and when he let his guard down, she would make her escape. It wasn’t a brilliant plan, but at the mont, apart from waiting for Lyle to foolishly co to her rescue, this was the only other way out.

"What do yoyu want with ?" She asked as he began to drag her unceremoniously. Now she could see a small crooked wooden house sitting in the middle of nowhere. It was clearly there destination. She wondered why anyone would co so deep into a forest to build anything. Especially a forest like this one that had such an eerie and strange aura in it.

"I cannot see it because you have bundled your face up in rags, but I would assu you have a mouth. Why not use it?" She hissed and she got her arm squeezed in response. She held back the urge to cry out as he squeezed her arm, instead she spoke again, "At least tell what you want with !" She scread as they reached the door to the crooked building.

Quickly, her eyes scanned the area. Apart from the horse that had brought them, there was no other ans of transport.

"He’s returned. He really returned with her. So I was right." She heard the voice of a woman. She wasn’t speaking Tragonian. Her captor pushed the door open and inside the house was a young woman and an old man.

Neriah was quick to recognize the woman as the sa one she had t the previous night. The sa one who had tried to follow her. Now things were getting more complicated in her head. Who was this man? Who was this woman? What did they all want from her?

Her thoughts were halted as another door inside the house was opened by her captor and she was shoved into it. Before she could turn around and say anything, it was slamd and she heard the bolts being fastened.

She was locked in.

She felt a suden movent in her belly, as though even her child was startled by the harsh sound of the door being slamd shut. Her hand wind around her stomach and she muttered to herself, "Forgive my child, this mother of yours only causes you discomfort."

...

"No offense your majesty, but what in the world are yah thinking? Mileka asked as she dressed his wounds. "What exactly did you do to get your wounds opened and bleeding again?" She asked with eyes widely opened. Every wound on his body was torn open again. It was obvious that he had not just ridden the horse and picked up the woman with ease. He had clearly gotten himself into so really stressful activity.

"I understand that yah are angry, but if yah keep doing this, yah death is inevitable. What good is a dead man with revenge in his heart?" She asked as she put on the last bandage. "Yah vengeance is only possible if ya keep yah life." She said and rose to her feet, moving away from him.

"What do yah plan to do now?" Rug asked and Barak’s head turned toward the door of the room he had put her in. Truly, what were his plans? He had thought about this mont over and over again in his head. He had pictured eting her again and again, and had thought of a million ways to make her suffer for every thing she had done to him.

He envisioned how this would play out, he had thought of a thousand punishnts fitting for her betrayal.

However, now that she was in his reach, now that he had her in the sa space with him, breathing the sa air he was breathing... his head was blank. Nothing ca to mind. From the mont they crossed into the forest of the damned, and silence fell upon them, his head had gone blank. He could only dwell on the fact that indeed she was in his arms once again.
