Xander resud with his usual work at the company. He knew Rui was having a hard ti, and he wanted his friend to travel places while Cali was recovering.
Cali only needed the people in her mory and those she could recall right now, and Rui was not one of them. So he decided to go back to work as early as he could and kick Rui out to enjoy himself with his favorite hobby of travelling around the world like how he used to before.
At Yang Globals group building, Xander was warmly welcod by his people. Almost the entire staff was present to welco him with a sweet smile on their faces.
"Welco back Dr. CEO." greeted the officers outside the building as soon as he stepped out of the car. He smiled and shook his head while looking at the welco banner hanging at the entrance.
He smiled sweetly to everyone and greeted them back, "Thank you. It’s really very nice to be back!"
"Oh, my sweet office!" Xander burst out after inhaling and exhaling loudly. Ron watched his boss in amusent. He had an ear to ear grin because in two days’’ ti he could finally go on a honeymoon vacation with his dear wife.
"Boss... These are the pending projects and the rest of the docunts for your signature. We settle everything with the investors..." Ron could not hide his excitent that he literally briefed Xander to all the pending works he was about to hand over to him.
Ron continued with the endorsent that made Xander arched an eyebrow.
"What is this, Ron? Not even letting sit for a while and feel the warmth of my office that I could step in after months? Stop grinning like that." Xander scolded while he sat on his swivel chair.
Ron pursed his lips that instant, scratched his head and said, "Sorry, Boss. I’ll be back as soon as I can."
"No need. Don’t worry about here and enjoy your honeymoon with Shan. No need to rush back imdiately. It’s just that you will still report here tomorrow, right? So why do I feel like you are running out of ti telling everything in one go?" Xander teased with a grin while Ron’s face reddened in embarrassnt.
After an endorsent like forever, Xander dismissed Ron to start with his work. He stood up from his chair after a few hours and dialed Yera’s number. He wondered what his wife was doing.
It had beco his routine to call his wife whenever they were not together. He got used to it during his stay at country V.
"Yes darling?" Xander heard Yera’s energetic voice on the other line.
Smiling, Xander asked, "What are you doing?"
"I’m at the mall, buying gifts for Rizie and Dion. I will co there straight to join you for lunch." Yera cheerfully said while she looked for things to buy.
"Hmm, alone?" Xander asked.
"Yup. Why? I was getting bored at ho besides I still can manage going around a bit." Yera comnted.
"But darling, you should at least bring a helper to pick your stuff..."
Yera chuckled and said, "what for? I’ll just buy a set of nighties and n’s wear. It doesn’t even weigh..."
Xander sighed and said, "alright after that co straight here."
Yera then ended the call after reassuring Xander that she would not take very long.
Yera had a mischievous smile while she was paying for the gifts. The sales lady was about to hand her the paper bag when a woman suddenly appeared out of nowhere and said, "let carry this for you ma’am."
"I’m sorry? Do I know you?" Yera bead. The woman gave her a smile and said a word that made Yera blink several tis in disbelief.
Xander told her that if she heard that code it ant that they were a part of the shadow security of the Yue clan to take care of them in the shadows.
"It’s actually nothing. I can manage to carry that." Yera muttered as they walked through the exit door where her driver was waiting.
"Let us do our job ma’am or we’ll be answerable to princess Raine." The woman replied. Yera gulped recalling the scene on how deadly Raine could be. Surely, her people were so afraid of her.
"Thanks. And please send my regards to your princess." Yera muttered before she went inside the car.
She arrived at the hospital and walked directly into Xander’s office. As soon as she was inside, she told Xander what happened.
"How long do they plan to keep that security around us? It feels so awkward when soone is approaching you like that out of nowhere." Yera complained with a crumpled face.
Xander chuckled and said, "Hmm, the clan is quite capable and peculiar. I see nothing wrong about it. Besides, it’s not like they will approach you often. You will not even feel their presence just that whenever it’s necessary. Like now... You have triplets, so the one looking after you don’t want you to get tired..."
Yera heaved a long sigh and changed the topic by asking, "Is Rui here? Let’s eat with him."
That was what he was thinking also, so Xander responded, "Yes, he’s here. He will leave after attending Rizie and Dion’s marriage ceremony. You call him darling since he can’t say no to you..."
Yera nodded and dialed Rui’s number on her mobile phone. The three had lunch in the restaurant inside the hospital.
Xander looked at Rui and said, "how long do you plan to travel?"
Rui chuckled and said, "I’m planning to stalk my wife soon so I won’t take long. Nanny Shine said Cali wants to still study cooking. She’s so excited when she accidentally saw the acceptance letter in her room. So once she goes there, I’ll follow her there too."
Xander nodded. Cali was now already aware that she underwent brain surgery and a part of her mory was lost.
"When do you plan to tell her?" Xander asked, referring about the marriage.
"I don’t know yet... it will be a lot to process seeing how she is so excited to study again. Besides, I wanna see if Cali’s heart could still recognize once I start courting her again." Rui mumbled and forced a smile on his face.
He still did not have a concrete plan on how to approach Cali, but one thing he was sure of... Cali was his wife and he would do everything to win her back even if she could not rember him.
