Rama’s eyes shot open, taking her ti, she gained her composure as she laid on the bed, her eyes eting the velvet canopy above her, the one she woke up to every morning and she suddenly realized she was back at the castle.

Her breath turned ragged with panic and fear when the mories of how she lost consciousness ca to her. She had been trapped in that precarious temple with treacherous traps and then, Draco had saved her.

The pain she had felt coursing through her body from the poisonous spike was completely gone. But the aftermath of what she had gone through still made her body tremble with fear, making her limbs lose its mobility for a second.

"Rama." That familiar deep velvety voice whisked into her ears and her eyes suddenly lit up as she sat up, her limbs regaining its strength.

Her breath hitched when she heard his voice and ti seed to stop moving for a mont, heart pounding fiercely against her ribcage as she turned to the direction where the voice had been woven from.

Her head tilted to the side and she t Draco sitting beside her, the world turned insignificant as her eyes reflected over his intense fiery ones, warm with ardor. With teary eyes and a gladdened heart she imdiately wrapped her arms around his neck and buried herself in his soothing embrace.

His arms curled around her waist as he hugged her back, the soothing warmth of being enveloped in his arms again made her relieved, profound emotions swirling into the depths of her jade eyes to reveal her hidden feelings within them.

She missed everything about him, from his intoxicating spicy scent to the warmth of his body and the dark aura exuded from him, she missed every single inch, she had been lost without him and while she had been trapped in that temple, she feared she might never see him again.

She hugged him so tightly as if she never wanted to let go, and he leaned in to the nook of her neck, his breath warm against her ear as he whispered sweetly "I’m sorry."

His remark retained the sincerest apology that ever rolled off his lips, it made her chest constrict painfully and the tears brimming at the edge of her eyes ca running down her cheeks like a gentle stream, while she sobbed softly.

A lump settled heavily in her throat as she tried to speak, but the myriad of emotions she was feeling at that mont overwheld her in inexplicable ways, she found it a hassle to convey her emotions through words as it engulfed her whole, making her only able to spew out tears in his arms.

He stroked her hair gently while he planted a firm kiss on her cheeks, comforting her. After a short mont of crying in his arms, she pulled from the embrace and wiped her tears.

Taking a deep breath, she finally gained her composure to speak.

Their gazes t for a long mont and a surge of emotions danced within their souls like a tempestous sea. Her longing look held the promise of a thousand unspoken words, while his siren crimson eyes radiated with the tender warmth of the sun, an apologetic look flashing over his gaze.

"Where have you been?" She queried with a slightly choked voice, beneath the longing in her eyes, a swirl of anger danced.

"In the dragon’s lair. I shouldn’t have left but I had to or I’d hurt you, my demons would hurt you." He said between gritted teeth, his eyes blazing with rage that lasted for only a millisecond.

"You left to protect , but you hurt still." She whispered under her breath, gleaming jade eyes turning dull with sadness as she recalled how broken and lost she was without him, how empty and hollow her soul had beco with his absence.

"Never again will I leave your side " He promised as he caressed her cheek. Every word he uttered were embedded with the intensity of an eternal promise.

"Where did you go the night you left?" She queried, her voice barely coming out as an audible whisper, as she dreaded the answer that would leave his lips.

"I just told you, the dragon’s lair." He said earnestly, his flaming eyes retained a sincerity that made the heart wrenching words of Onyx fade into nothing.

She swallowed, nervously fidgeting with her fingers as guilt ate through her skin for doubting him even once. She should never have doubted him or his promises, for the bond they shared transcended beyond re mortal pleasure and comprehension.

"What’s wrong?" He queried and she bit down on her lower lip.

"Onyx told ..." She trailed off seeing his brows furrow with a displeased look.

"I’m sorry, I never should have...doubted you." She added frantically.

"I’m disappointed you harboured doubts in your heart about my loyalty and thought of leaving your side just to entertain another woman." He said calmly, although he wasn’t hurt by her doubt, he was rather enraged by Onyx’s audacity of hurting his wife with her poisonous lies.

"I’m sorry, she just sounded so convincing, but it doesn’t justify my distrust for you, I never should have doubted you or co to a conclusion without hearing from you first." She said apologetically, her eyes heavy with guilt.

"It’s alright love, I know you have a jealous spirit." He teased with a sarcastic smirk, making a smile break through her lips.

She missed hearing his voice and that sarcastic smile splitting his lips open, and his siren crimson eyes that captivated her nevertheless.

"It’s amusing to find you getting jealous because of or missing to the extent you cried your eyes out. The feisty princess crying her eyes out for her enemy, what an entertaining twist." He added with a hypnotic wicked grin.

"I never cried!" She shrieked.

"You cried?" He asked, his face turning grim. She pressed her lips in a thin line, fluttering her lashes in silence.

She could feel the air around him beco murky with a heavy darkness as every second encompassed in silence.

"I’ll take care of Onyx." His voice slithered through thin air like a serpent’s hiss as his face darkened.

"Do you have any idea of who might have kidnapped during the carnival?" She queried in curiosity, wide eyes holding anticipation.

"I’ll take care of that tomorrow evening at the Soiree." He said darkly, the warmth in his eyes slowly fading to be replaced with a dark glint.

"You’re having a Soiree?"

"We are having a Soiree at the castle, we need to make a lesson out of the culprit that dared to harm you and the Soiree is the perfect gathering." He stated out, a lopsided smile curving the edge of his lips up as a sadistic glint lit up his crimson eyes.

"You know who it is?" She queried eagerly, curious on who her unknown enemy was.

"I have no idea yet, but the culprit will be attending the Soiree also. A mystery is always more entertaining, don’t you think?" He said in assurance.

"How are you so sure?" She asked in confusion, ’whatever he was scheming up his sleeve would certainly be entertaining but terrifying’, she thought inwardly.

"Just wait and see love." He said with a confident smile, leaving her to ponder but then she suddenly rembered sothing or better still, soone.

"Malika! Is she alright? I left her at the carnival." She panicked.

"She’s alright, Zamiel brought her back." He assured and she sighed in relief.

Her face turned grim as she glared hotly at him "It’s all your fault, if you never had left alone, I wouldn’t have almost died." She pointed out enraged, still yet beneath her rage, her heart fluttered with bliss and longing for him.

"Either ways you wouldn’t have died, I ca for you did I not?" He remarked.

"You arrogant... I would have died if I had waited, I didn’t have much ti and also, I would have died in any of those traps with just a single mistake." She pointed out.

"It will never happen again, I’m never letting you out of my sight." He promised with a zealous resolution.

"You healed ." She stated out as she observed her hand where she had been grazed by the poisonous spikes.

He nodded with a smile as he stared at her with an unwavering firmness, a dreamy smile playing on his lips as if she had ensnared him into an enthralling dream.

She reached out and brushed a strand of hair from his face, a tender intimate gesture that mirrored the softness of her gaze as she took in his gorgeous sight.

Her fingers deftly tracing his sharp jawline and his chiseled contour of his face made his skin burn with a yearning for her touch, her delicate skin against his, her slender fra colliding into his hardness.

"I missed you." She breathed out in a whisper.

His eyes bore into the reflective desires swirling into her eyes like the whirlpool of a tantalizing inferno. He gulped, his adam’s apple bobbling up and down his delicious throat as he followed her gaze which dropped to his lips.

"Don’t Rama, I can’t ta my demons." He warned, his husky voice a mixture of lustful longing and dangerous caution.

Ignoring his warning like a moth to the fla, she leaned in with hungry fervor, as she pressed her delicate lips against his luscious ones.
