On that sa day, Lu Yifeng decided to drop Xia ilin and Little lon in the Xia family manor.

"When will you be back, dada?" Little lon asked as he looked up at him.

"I’ll be back by next week." He patted his head. "Take care of your mother, okay?"

Little lon nodded before he hugged his leg. "I’m going to miss dada."

"I will miss you too." Lu Yifeng turned to Xia ilin and stared at her for a while. "I’ll call you every day."

Xia ilin leaned and gave him a hug. "You better should."

Lu Yifeng was happy to see that his family was going back to normal, especially with Xia ilin. She started opening up to him and this ant a lot to him. He kissed her forehead, "I should go."

She pulled away and held Little lon’s hand. "Always take care, okay?"

"Mm." He nodded with a smile on his lips.

"Don’t worry about your wife and son, they’re in good hands." Xia Jiamu said with a gentle smile.

"See you later, dada." Little lon waved at him.

After Lu Yifeng left, Xia ilin and Little lon entered the house with the Xia elders.

"I’ll help you unpack, dear." Ji Ruo smiled at her.

They headed to Xia ilin’s old room and Ji Ruo helped her granddaughter unpack the things. anwhile, Xia Jiamu invited Little lon to play chess with him.

"ilin."

Xia ilin turned to her grandmother. "Yes, grandma?"

"How’s Lu Yifeng as a husband and father?" Ji Ruo could help but ask. This was the only ti they were able to have a heart to heart talk. They weren’t able to talk properly ever since Xia ilin left the Xia manor.

Xia ilin was a bit surprised when Ji Ruo asked her that question. Seeing how Xia ilin reacted, Ji Ruo continued, "I just want to make sure that your grandpa and my decision for allowing you to marry him is correct."

"Oh." Xia ilin sat on the side of her bed. "What can you say about us base from your observation, grandma?"

Ji Ruo chuckled, "I think you and your son are happy right now."

Xia ilin smiled. "Yes, we are. That also ans that Lu Yifeng is doing a great job in being a husband and afather."

Even if Ji Ruo already know this, she just wanted it to co from her granddaughter’s mouth. She was glad that Lu Yifeng was true to his words and because of this, she couldn’t help but approve of him more.

Ji Ruo went and sat beside her. She held her hand tight. To be honest, when she allowed Lu Yifeng to take her granddaughter, she was very worried.. She was against the idea because Lu Yifeng was the one who hurt his granddaughter. Who in their right minds will give their family to a guy like him? He’s the man who raped her.

Just like others, Ji Ruo thought that Lu Yifeng was a cruel and cold-hearted man, who would have thought that he’s also stubborn? He kept on coming even if she almost killed him a few tis and because of this, she was able to see how genuine he was. He was willing to give his life for Xia ilin.

There’s a part in her that wanted to give him a chance but she was also afraid for her granddaughter’s sake, that’s why Ji Ruo let Xia Jiamu face Xia ilin back then.

If Lu Yifeng did sothing horrible to Xia ilin, Ji Ruo was planning to give Lu Qian a call. One of the reasons why she also allowed Lu Yifeng was because he was the grandson of her old friend, Lu Qian.

"You know grandma, at first... I was really afraid of him." Xia ilin said honestly. She was talking about her past life. "But then, when I ca around, I realized that... Lu Yifeng was not that bad." She was talking about her present, comparing both the Lu Yifeng of her past and the Lu Yifeng of her present. "I never knew that he can actually such a patient and understanding man. I feel like living in a parallel world."

Ji Ruo chuckled. She gently patted her head before she held her hand again. "There is no such thing as parallel world. Besides, I can see that he really loves you. A person who’s in love is willing to do anything for their beloved. His mother, Jing Yue said that there are tis where he has a bad temper. This would sotis get him into fight with his brother. It’s glad to see that he has sohow change in that part." She chuckled. "If he had his terrible temper with him, he might have destroyed us instead."

Change? That word caught Xia ilin’s attention. That never ca into her mind; Lu Yifeng changing.

"Oh well, I should not stay longer here. You should get so rest, sweetie."

Xia ilin nodded and smiled a bit. "Don’t spoil Xiao Gua too much, grandma."

"Nonsense, I’m not spoiling him, you should say that to your grandpa." Ji Ruo huffed before leaving the room.

Xia ilin chuckled a bit. She looked around the room and sighed. She lied down on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

"Change, huh?" She placed her hand on her bloated tummy.

What if they both traveled back in ti? The only difference was... Lu Yifeng traveled further?

She shook her head at that thought. That was impossible. If that happened then Lu Yifeng should have died in her past life. Could it be that he killed himself after knowing that she died?

Once again, she shook her head because of that thought. There’s no way that he can kill himself for her. Even if he traveled back in ti, he can’t just change like that. The Lu Yifeng of her past was a cold and heartless bastard.

Him changing? Why would he even change? While she was thinking of these thoughts, she suddenly rembered the words that he told her back then:

"Do you know that... I am willing to take any asure just to have you?"

"You don’t know how far I can go just to have what I want. But this ti, I want to do it properly... To make you feel my love."

"ilin, I really am sorry."

She sat up when she realized sothing. Why was he saying these to her? At that ti, it confused her but now... she felt like there was sothing in it. Why hadn’t she realized it back then? He would sotis say sothing that would confuse her.

She was snapped out from her thoughts when she suddenly heard her phone ring.
