Everyone looked up at the sky, but there was no sign of the fire—as if it had vanished all of a sudden, or as if the existence of that fireball had rely been an illusion.
The sky was clear and bright as always, emitting the divine energy of the Heaven Realm, but at the sa ti, it was eerily silent. Even the clouds didn’t seem to stir, as though they had been frozen in place by sothing unseen.
Their eyes searched for her—the Deity of Fire—but there was no sign of her, or of the hellfire.
Yet they knew well: this was only the calm before the storm. The kind of storm that could sweep away all three realms and erase every trace of their existence.
All those deities who feared the sworn revenge of the Deity of Fire felt their hearts pounding faster. All they could see was their Heaven Realm—and their very existence—crumbling before their eyes.
Everyone had only one question: Where had she disappeared to?And what will happen next?
"Draven, I’ll go look for her," Morpheus said, staring at the sky, searching for any sign of his mate. His wings had already opened, ready to take flight.
"Be patient," Draven said, turning to him. "Do you feel her through the bond?"
"I can’t," Morpheus replied, his expression deeply troubled. "My connection with her broke suddenly as if it never existed. You don’t feel the bond either?"
Draven’s face darkened with concern. "Sa as you."
"It’s the hellfire," Drayvor, who had overheard them, answered. "It’s overpowering your mate and severing her bond with both of you. Hellfire does not wish to be controlled. And your bond gives her the strength to control it. It’s isolating her from you."
Draven and Morpheus both fell into a tense silence, the weight of the truth sinking in.
"I will go search for her," Draven said firmly. "We can’t lose her this ti. We won’t let the hellfire consu her—it’ll be the other way around."
"I’m coming with you," Morpheus added, his wings stretching fully now, ready to fly.
But—
A massive explosion shattered the silence in the sky, shaking the entire Heaven Realm with tremors like a powerful earthquake.
All eyes shot upward.
The once-bright sky was no longer glowing with divine energy—it was now engulfed in a frightening red hue of hellfire, entwined with darkness.
And then they saw it.
A massive firebird erged from the inferno—A divine phoenix, so enormous that even the divine dragon seed small in comparison.
With a single majestic sweep of her wings, it looked as though she could destroy the entire throne hall in an instant.
The deity of fire in her ancient spirit form—Phoenix, one of four ancient celestial beasts.
It was a sign that she had regained her entire power, and so did her mories from the past.
In a mont, loud screech of the phoenix echoed in the heaven realm, primal and intense.
At the sa ti, sothing stirred in the heaven realm. The divine light from Mount Aramis invaded the dark sky, and ancient words were seen written in the hollow of the sky.
Their gazes glued to the sky, at the divine phenonon.
"Her existence, her glory, everything that had been erased from all three realms, is being rewritten," Solon comnted. "Celestial divine power itself is restoring it again."
Everyone heard it. That ant she was going to regain all her mories, and so her oath of revenge.
Seren and Sierra were awake now, sensing these strong tremors, and looked at the sky.
"Hellfire," Seren mumbled, as she could sense its intensity and could feel it, "It wants to destroy everything..." she looked at Drayce, "Our ho... our people... won’t survive it..."
"It won’t happen. I am sure they have a way to stop her," Drayce assured her. "Don’t worry."
"No one can match her power, Dray... She won’t stop..." Seren said, as tears rolled down her eyes.
Her unique ability to sense any kind of power and their nature—whether they are good or evil—made her see through it clearly. And at this mont, she could only see the evil graced by revenge.
On the other hand, Sierra’s trembling lips curved into a relieved smile, "She has finally returned."
Evanthe humd and asked, "Are you alright?"
Sierra looked back at her, her eyes barely opened, "It seems now I can die in peace."
"You won’t," Evanthe warned her, "You can’t."
Sierra simply smiled and weakly looked at the sky being covered with hellfire.
Calithra.
Draven and Morpheus said at the sa ti, out of instinct, as both looked at that massive phoenix bird.
Morpheus, taken aback by why he said that na—as if he had known it for a long ti—looked at Draven.
"Calithra, the Deity of Fire," Draven told him, "our mate."
Everyone rembered this very na, which had been erased from the historical records of all three realms—but now, they were going to rember it forever.
Once the divine light from Mount Aramis vanished after everything was restored, the loud screech of the phoenix echoed again.
This ti, that screech reached even the Demon and Mortal Realms. Now the three realms were going to be at the rcy of one angered, vengeful deity.
The next mont, everyone saw the phoenix surrounded by hellfire, flying through the sky, leaving trails of fire behind—burning even the air that ca into its touch.
With each screech, a warning of her anger, she flew at a speed too fast to follow and burned everything that ca in her path. Various places in the Heaven Realm caught fire—ready to burn to ashes.
"She is truly going to destroy everything."
"Sovereign," the deities cried out to the Lord of Heaven. "Please do sothing, or the Deity of Fire will destroy everything!"
Grianor ignored their cries, as all they had were selfish worries, and said, "She has returned for the revenge that we owe her."
At his words, all the deities were taken aback.
Was the King of Heaven giving up in front of Deity Calithra’s oath of revenge? Was he prepared to sacrifice all three realms for the sake of letting her fulfill her oath?
Everyone recalled those terrifying monts when she had taken that oath—
Her entire body had been chained, from her torso to her limbs, while she angrily challenged the entire Heaven Realm. The thunderstorms cracking in the dark, cloudy sky above had resonated with her fury.
Her erald green eyes were glowing gold, as if they were burning flas.
"I, Calithra, the sovereign of hellfire, loyal servant of the Absolute, the emperor of heaven... The mont I return to the Heaven Realm again, I will destroy you all. I will destroy this place full of evil!"
Finally, she was going to fulfil that very oath.
