Chapter 787: A Transcendent Level Battle!

What was a battle between Transcendent Level beings like?

Most people in this world could only read about it in books, never witnessing it themselves. Since the Demon King’s defeat and the three races achieving peace, battles between Transcendent Level beings were practically impossible. After all, they were the apex beings of their respective races and wouldn’t fight each other casually.

Even Shien, until now, hadn’t witnessed such a battle. The closest he’d e was his fight with Mara. At that time, Mara had briefly achieved a transcendent state, and Shien, using all his means, unsealing his Holy Sword and activating [Samsara of Heaven’s Decree], also reached Transcendent Level bat power. Unfortunately, both were temporary, one exploding after a single attack, the other collapsing from exhaustion. Their single exchange decided the victor, so it couldn’t be considered a true battle between transcendent beings.

Lilith and Kamina had also fought, but Shien wasn’t present.

Therefore, this battle between Kamina and the Goddess of Time was the first true Transcendent Level battle he witnessed.

“Boom!”

As Shien arrived with Lilith, a thunderous roar echoed above the Supreme Castle. Ripples of magic power and shockwaves spread outwards, making the atmosphere tremble, and Central City shook as if experiencing an earthquake, cries echoing from all directions.

Even Shien’s ears rang, his mind blanking for a moment, before he saw the situation clearly. Above the Supreme Castle, the battle between the Demon Lord and the Goddess had already begun. One was enveloped in poisonous mist, unleashing waves of toxins, the other radiating colorful light, having merged into her true form as the Goddess of Time, summoning halos of light. Poisonous waves and halos of light clashed, creating earth-shattering roars, then stalemated.

Although seemingly a stalemate, the poison and light clashed fiercely.

The poison tried to corrode the goddess.

But the rainbow-colored halos, incredibly mysterious, created ripples of spacetime, blocking and even annihilating the poisonous waves.

“Is that the power to control time?” Shien, using the enhanced perception of [Outer Awareness of Heaven’s Decree], could somewhat discern what was happening. The ripples of spacetime were unstable time streams, distorting the flow of time wherever they passed.

This was incredibly dangerous. If someone were caught in it, their body’s time would be accelerated, reversed, or even severed, parts of them aging and decaying, other parts reverting to their youth, even their internal organs’ existence erased as if they never existed, ultimately leading to their plete disintegration upon contact.

Such chaotic time distortions would be corrected by the world itself, impossible to recover from, even with divine intervention, unless the Supreme God herself acted. It was a fatal attack, unavoidable and irreversible, negating all defenses and healing methods.

Therefore, Kamina’s poison, although capable of affecting even Transcendent Level beings, was useless against this time stream attack. Against other opponents, even if they blocked her poison, it would still seep into the atmosphere and poison them silently. The Poison Demon’s poison was the most terrifying in the world, some visible, some invisible, some colorless and odorless, some even able to merge with the air or water, inescapable. Even Lilith, after her battle with Kamina, was poisoned and spent considerable effort dispelling the toxins.

The Goddess of Time, however, didn’t need to worry about this. Before the distorting time stream, the poison couldn’t spread, its very source annihilated upon contact. Even if some invisible poison took effect, the goddess, within the unstable time stream, wouldn’t be affected, able to reverse her own time and return to her unpoisoned state.

But Kamina wasn’t a pushover either. Although her poison couldn’t directly affect the Goddess of Time, it could affect the surroundings. By spreading her poison everywhere, wave after wave, she forced the goddess to act, consuming her stamina and magic power.

This battle was a war of attrition.

Shien watched as waves of poisonous gas and rainbow-colored time streams clashed in mid-air, creating earth-shattering roars that shook the heavens and the earth, like a meteor striking the planet. If this battle were on the ground, Central City would have been destroyed. Even in mid-air, countless buildings in the city were damaged, the ground trembling. The clouds had been dispersed, the sky filled with poison and time streams. Kamina and the Goddess of Time were like two armies clashing, one manipulating poisonous waves, the other distorting time.

Gradually, more and more screams echoed from Central City as the poison spread, affecting many.

“These two crazy women!” Shien cursed, drawing his Holy Sword. Seeing Central City on the brink of collapse, he said to Lilith,

“One each. Let’s stop them.” He released Lilith.

“Okay!” Lilith spread her twelve black wings, a terrifying evil aura surging around her as she charged into the sky, her target Kamina. The Goddess of Time’s power was too dangerous, and Shien wouldn’t let his little darling risk it.

Shien himself, with a few teleports, appeared in mid-air, joining the battle even faster than Lilith.

“Boom!” His magic power erupted, and he charged into the oning time stream, like a bullet swimming upstream, heading straight for the Goddess of Time.

“Dangerous!” The Goddess of Time finally noticed Shien’s arrival and cried out anxiously, seeing him charge towards her, directly into the distorting time stream.

“What!?” Kamina, who had just unleashed a tsunami of poison towards the time stream, now had her attack aimed at Shien’s back.

Shien was caught between two attacks.

Before him, the terrifying time distortion, a fatal and irreversible attack.

Behind him, the deadly poisonous tsunami.

He was in a desperate situation.

But he charged into the time stream without hesitation, seemingly unaffected by the power that could theoretically distort and destroy everything.

“This…!?” The Goddess of Time was shocked.

And on the other side, the poisonous tsunami unleashed by Kamina was blocked by the timely arrival of Lilith.

“Boom!” Lilith’s evil aura surged, transforming into another tsunami that clashed with Kamina’s poison, even pushing it back.

“It’s you!?” Kamina saw Lilith’s actions.

But Lilith ignored her, her black wings expanding and then slashing downwards, splitting Kamina’s world-covering poison sea.

“…!” Kamina instinctively wanted to retaliate.

Lilith didn’t give her the chance, flapping her wings and charging towards her.

At the same time, Shien also broke through the time stream and arrived before the Goddess of Time.

“Clang!” The Holy Sword shone brilliantly as Shien swung it, a dazzling sword light slashing towards the Goddess of Time.

“Wait…!?” The Goddess of Time panicked. Facing the Demon King-slaying Holy Sword, even if she wasn’t a demon, she didn’t want to face its power directly. Being hit by it, even if she didn’t die, would severely injure her. So, to protect herself, she merged into the ripples of spacetime and disappeared.

However, this wasn’t very effective.

“Slash!” The Holy Sword pierced the spacetime ripples, its light intensifying.

“Bang!” The ripples exploded, and a rainbow-colored figure was sent flying.

“Uwaaah!” The Goddess of Time cried out.

“Swoosh!” Shien teleported behind her and grabbed her.

“Boing~~~” A strange sound suddenly echoed.

“Yaaah!” The Goddess of Time’s cry turned into a scream.

Chapter 788: “I Almost Didn’t Recognize You.”

“….”

Shien swore he really didn’t do it on purpose.

Although he was quite surprised by the Goddess of Time’s unexpectedly ample bosom, the thought that she was essentially still those three idiots made him feel nothing but disdain. Therefore, instead of showing mercy, he raised his Holy Sword and smacked the Goddess of Time on the head.

“Clang!” A clear, ringing sound echoed through the air.

“Ow! That hurts—!” The Goddess of Time’s scream turned into a wail as she clutched her head and crouched down, teary-eyed and pitiful.

Meanwhile, Lilith successfully reached Kamina. Her twelve black wings spread, transforming into chains of evil aura that, before Kamina could react, wrapped around her.

“…” Kamina struggled to break free, but Lilith hugged her tightly. This was Shien’s instruction. Lilith’s strength was parable to Kamina’s, but she lacked any means to restrain her. Although her sudden attack caught Kamina off guard, she would quickly retaliate, making it difficult for Lilith to control her. Therefore, Shien told Lilith to hug her and then immediately drop her guard. This way, Kamina wouldn’t struggle too much, instinctively afraid of hurting the seemingly defenseless Lilith.

“What are you doing!?” As expected, Kamina stopped struggling and glared at Lilith.

Lilith, however, ignored her, clinging to her, her gaze fixed on Shien.

By now, Shien, carrying the teary-eyed Goddess of Time, arrived before Kamina. Kamina, despite her impulsiveness, understood that these two were here to stop her from fighting.

Before she could question them, Shien spoke first.

“What are you doing?” he asked, “Trying to destroy this place?” He pointed at the city below. The demon residents were still in shock, some crying out, others looking at Shien and his panions with fear. Central City was damaged, the ground cracked, and buildings partially collapsed.

Naturally, the Demon Lords and executives in the Supreme Castle noticed the motion, and many executives were dispatched to calm the citizens and deal with the aftermath. Shien even saw Yulin, Graty, Beauty, and Liel flying out from the Supreme Castle, observing the situation.

Although Kamina’s sisters didn’t appear, their gazes could be felt, especially one that was incredibly cold, directed at Kamina and the Goddess of Time, making them shiver. Clearly, that person was very displeased. There was no need to explain who it was. After all, this was her territory, and she was the one who brought the Goddess of Time back. If Shien hadn’t intervened, the Demon Lords might have already captured and bound these two troublemakers.

Thinking of this, Kamina and the Goddess of Time pointed at each other without hesitation.

“This idiot goddess provoked me first!”

“This ill-tempered woman attacked me first!”

Their overlapping voices showed they were both blaming each other. Then, they glared at each other.

“Who’s ill-tempered!?”

“You’re the idiot!”

They started cursing each other, almost ready to fight again. However, sensing the powerful magic fluctuations and the watchful gazes around them, neither dared to make a move. Otherwise, it would be a scene of domestic violence.

Shien, annoyed by their bickering, said,

“Are you children? Knowing how strong you are, and yet fighting over a few words? Should I praise you for being so ‘good’?” He intended to provoke them with sarcasm, making them angry and speechless.

Who knew these two weren’t normal.

“Are you taking her side? You’re such a superficial man!” Kamina said to Shien, displeased. I thought you were different, special, but you’re just like those other Heroes, only interested in fawning over goddesses. I wasted my time on you!

The Goddess of Time’s thought process was even stranger. “If it weren’t for you running around, we wouldn’t have encountered this ill-tempered woman. It’s all your fault!” She blamed Shien, as if he had caused her trouble.

“???” Shien was dumbfounded. He came here to stop the fight, and now they were blaming him?

“Fine! Want to fight? I’ll fight you both! ━((′д`)爻(′д`))━!!!!”

The Hero, who just moments ago criticized them for fighting over words, was now the one exploding.

And Lilith, always obedient to Shien, seeing his anger, also spread her twelve black wings, looking furious.

Kamina and the Goddess of Time weren’t afraid.

“Bring it on!” Kamina’s body was enveloped in poisonous gas.

“I’m not afraid of you!” The Goddess of Time, rubbing the bump on her head, only wanted revenge.

The original one-on-one duel had turned into a two-on-two tag team match.

Seeing this, the Demon Lords in the Supreme Castle couldn’t sit still any longer.

“…Do you really think I don’t exist?” Sara appeared, her face showing her lack of sleep and her annoyance at being woken up.

“You’re all idiots,” Lid said, appearing and scolding them.

“Fighting! Bad!” Millu said seriously, condemning them, but her eyes were filled with excitement.

Shafney, however, seemed to be enjoying the show, winking at Shien, while Airi also looked annoyed at being woken up, her face dark.

The Demon Lords’ appearance caused another motion among the demons below. After all, besides those in the Supreme Castle, ordinary demons rarely saw all six Demon Lords together. Their appearance above the city naturally caused an uproar.

Only the Goddess of Time, seeing this, was instantly intimidated.

“This is enemy territory. There are six Demon Lords, and only Lilith and I…” This wasn’t a situation where she could expect reinforcements. Being ganged up on by six Demon Lords, even she could only escape.

However…

“If you weren’t all pregnant, I almost wouldn’t have recognized you.”

The Goddess of Time couldn’t help but mutter.

“???” The Demon Lords were dumbfounded, their faces darkening.

What did she mean by “pregnant”? Was this idiot goddess slandering them?

Shafney, Lid, Kamina, and Airi glared at the Goddess of Time, as if wanting to eat her.

“Shut up!” Sara shouted, her mood pletely ruined. Others might not understand what this idiot said, but she did. Being too smart wasn’t always a good thing, instantly making connections one didn’t even want to think about. It was truly annoying. Sara quickly suppressed her thoughts and took a deep breath.

“I can guess what’s going on, but unfortunately, I’m very tired and not in the mood to deal with you, so I’ll only say this once,” she said, her gaze sweeping across Kamina and the Goddess of Time.

“Don’t let this happen again, understand?” This was an unquestionable order.

Naturally, such an order wasn’t easily accepted.

“I…” Kamina wanted to say something.

“Do you want me to tell everyone how I helped you go to the toilet when you were born, Kamina?” Sara asked, her face expressionless.

Kamina’s open mouth twitched, and she immediately changed her words.

“I mean, I understand,” she said, the supposedly most ruthless Demon Lord easily defeated by her older sister.

“Then I…” The Goddess of Time wanted to argue.

Unfortunately…

“Nadue and I are quite close. I know exactly how she took care of you when you were born,” Sara glanced at her.

The Goddess of Time’s defiance instantly turned into submission.

“I mean, if she understands, then of course I understand too!” The Goddess of Time who controlled time now only wanted to travel back to the time of their birth and erase those embarrassing memories.

Thus, a ruthless Demon Lord and a boisterous Goddess were both reduced to obedient children before the supreme being of the Demon Race.

“Good,” Sara nodded in satisfaction, “Then let’s end this.”

Saying this, she left first.

The other Demon Lords also followed.

Only Shien, after watching for a while, couldn’t help but ask curiously,

“What exactly did you all do when you were born?”

This question made the two Transcendent Level beings flee without hesitation.
