"Boss, was what that guy said true or false? What do you think?"

"What do I think?"

On the outskirts of the West Sea Dragon Palace, in a temple specially reserved for the Yaksha troops to rest, that day, Yakshas that had once been scattered all over the West Sea had returned. The Yaksha captain, who was in charge of managing everyone, knew that these fellas must have been subjected to the sa temptation as he was.

"The key is what you all think?"

The Yaksha captain looked at his fellow clan mbers with an indescribable emotion in his eyes. The great hall suddenly fell silent. Apart from the Yaksha troops, there were other types in the temple as well.

For instance, the Tiger Prawn General from the mighty Prawn Clan and the Ao Crab Clan had their seals lifted to so extent in the previous year. Jiangnan’s military strength was sufficient, with the highest number of elite warriors among all the regions. Everyone was given a little essence blood each month, which was enough for Ao Zhen to revive quite a number of his old subordinates in that year.

By now, the West Sea Aquatic Tribe had revived over a hundred thousand of their kind, but most of them were auxiliary troops used to strengthen the water essence. For example, the Crystal Shrimps from the Shrimp Clan could purify water, increasing the birthrate of water essence, and the Crab Clan could help clean up the wildly growing water plants and so terrifying water bugs, ensuring the safety of their habitat—very practical beings.

The elites were few, aside from the Yaksha General, the majority of the revived powerhouses from the other aquatic tribes only numbered about a dozen each, specifically for managing their own kind, feared and respected at every level.

However, no matter how much Tian Heng pressed them down, the revived forces of the West Sea Aquatic Tribe were not to be underestimated. With over three hundred Yaksha troops, and fierce clans from the West Sea like Tiger Prawns, Ao Crabs, and Dragon Fish, adding up to nearly a thousand in number, and all of them were Transcendent. Among the Transcendents, they were considered to have considerable strength.

Especially now, nurtured by the power of the divine path, many had broken through their forr limits. If it had happened before the descent of the ancient tis, this would have truly been a force capable of world destruction!

Such a force was naturally a huge variable...

"You must have felt it too..." The chief of the Tiger Prawn Clan spoke, "The pressure that ssenger had was unmistakable, on the sa level as the monsters in the Demon Buddha Hall. Although I’ve never heard of their deeds, the mory ingrained in my bones cannot be wrong. Those creatures, they are definitely as frightful as those in the Demon Buddha Hall. We are only allies with Chen Qing. Is it worth it to offend such a terrifying entity for his sake?"

The Yaksha General furrowed his brows. The other party’s concerns weren’t unwarranted, but... to betray Jiangnan for so unknown mysterious force?

Truth be told, these past two years, they’ve gotten along quite nicely with the people of Jiangnan. After joining the divine path force, their bloodlust for human flesh seed to vanish, replaced by countless benefits. Not to ntion the strange thing like the power of human worship they had never experienced before. Even when their ancestors were ruled by the Demon Buddha Hall, they hadn’t broken through their current limits.

Following Chen Qing, however, there was hope to advance even further!

As for the soft environnt, they had been living quite comfortably these days. The Western Sea Army was wary of them, but the people of Jiangnan were kind to them. It was said to be influenced by the Mountain God and the Gate Deity, as the locals regarded them as spirits of the sea and were willing to be close to them, occasionally offering them so tributes.

The fine wine, the exquisite food, and many masterfully crafted jewels—these were once things they couldn’t enjoy. To be honest, this environnt was so much better than when they were mixed up with the Old Dragon King of the West Sea.

"What do you think?" The Yaksha General turned to the Ao Crab Clan.

The Ao Crab Clan, with Dragon Clan bloodlines, possessed extraordinary strength that was astounding; an adult Ao Crab was Transcendent by nature, and in terms of pure strength could match three Yakshas. As for the Clan Chiefs of the Ao Crab, even Chen Qing was not certain of victory against them. Moreover, due to the need to construct a large number of underwater projects, Prince Ao Zhen’s revived crab clan was the most nurous. As the representative of the crab clan, the Ao Crab Clan Chief’s opinions were extrely important.

"Has there been any news from Prince Ao Zhen?" the Ao Crab Clan Chief pondered for a mont before asking in a muffled voice.

"No..." retorted the Yaksha captain with a rolling of his eyes. If there had been any orders from Ao Zhen, would they need to be so conflicted about what to do?

Upon hearing this, the Ao Crab Clan Chief’s gaze evidently fell into turmoil.

The temptation offered by that mysterious clan was not small, claiming they could help them break through to the next level—a level that was Dragon King level—a breakthrough that the Ao Crab Clan had never achieved before. The Clan Chief could vaguely sense that the other party was telling the truth because they were willing to form a Technique pact.

But if it ant betraying, he truly wasn’t willing at that mont.

Now, with the largest number of the crab clan resurrected and many crab clansn having gone ashore to beco permanent workers due to the nurous projects in Jiangnan, the relationship with the humans was extrely good. Unbeknownst to many, a substantial number of people privately worshipped the crab clan. These days, many clansn had received the power of covert faith, and he believed that as the quality of the Human Race continued to improve, the benefits the crab clan would receive in the future would be significant.

Honestly, he felt that such a future might present a trendous opportunity for the crab clan, as this unprecedented path might lead them further than ever before.

In these clearly thriving tis, should they really jeopardize everything for an external temptation?

"Why not... just not help either side?" a sinister voice suggested.

Everyone frowned and turned to look at the source of the comnt. The speaker was an indistinct mass of darkness. Although the entity itself wasn’t large, it took up the most space; mbers of this type needed ink to envelop their fragile bodies, and if not careful, a whole area of water could be contaminated by it. They were generally not well-liked in the Sea Clan, for this was the unique Star Insignia clan of the West Sea Dragon Palace!

However, the Star Insignia clan was quite effective at dealing with corrupt materials, and it was for this reason that Prince Ao Zhen had resurrected them. As a representative of the clan, they attended every eting but seldom spoke up. It was unexpected that they would take the initiative to voice their opinion on such an important matter.

"Not help either side? Be a fence-sitter?" The Tiger Prawn Chief snickered derisively. "In both the history of the Human Race and the history of the demons, this thod has never ended well."

"It depends on the situation. We are inherently viewed with suspicion..." the Star Insignia Chief spoke up. "Rashly sending troops to Jiangnan, no matter which side we help, is likely to attract suspicion and prove to be a thankless task. It’s better to wait a while, agree to their terms for now, and then dispatch later. We can secretly observe the battle situation. If the Western Sea Army truly has the advantage, our assistance will not be seen as a breach of contract, and our intervention at a critical mont will be of more value. And if they are at a disadvantage, Jiangnan won’t know we’re in cahoots with Tian Heng anyway."

"Everyone knows that our West Sea Aquatic Tribe isn’t on good terms with the Western Sea Army. If the Western Sea Army is at a disadvantage and we suddenly intervene—if handled cleanly—we’ll be hailed as saviors by Jiangnan. In the future, the Western Sea God might just be chosen directly from our tribe. See, with just one move, there are multiple benefits, and we don’t have to be torn..."

"This..." The factions looked at each other and suddenly felt that this plan was quite good.

For a mont, the Yaksha general looked at the Star Insignia Chief with so astonishnt; he had not realized that this silent clan leader was so capable of weighing the situation.

But what he could not see, behind that mass of dark Demon, were eyes gleaming with a cold sneer...
