"You wake up so early, Saintess. Have sothing troubling your mind?" A butler said, pouring tea into a cup before giving it to a fine woman beside him.

"Oh, thank you." Ave Gayle smiled and extended her hands to get the cup.

"Actually, there is..." she paused and took a sip before continuing her words.

"It’s all about a certain man," she said.

As soon as the butler heard it, he coughed, teasing the young lady.

"No, it’s not that way. You’re mistaken." The seer blushed and waved her hand while the other one still held the cup of tea.

"Then what is it?" The butler replied.

Afterward, he took a step forward and looked at the sky.

Upon seeing the butler’s action, Ave’s eyes automatically gazed at the atmosphere as well. The sun was still hiding up above the clouds, but after a few minutes later, it would let its radiance bathe the whole world.

"It’s just that I’m in a constant dream about soone I don’t know anything about," the saintess replied while still looking above.

"You can tell about it if you want; I would be very happy to listen," the old butler stated as he glanced at the woman.

Ave Gayle contemplated it for a few seconds, but after realizing that there was no harm in letting the old man know the story, she began to speak.

"It happened after the ergence of the blue sun," she said before sighing.

"A man fidgeting with a black dice between his fingers kept appearing every ti I went to sleep," she added.

Then, as she sipped at the tea, she rembered sothing again and told it to the old butler as well.

"Oh, another one; he has this strange red dice dangling from his left ear," she said.

As soon as she spoke, the butler turned around and asked a few questions.

"Aside from fidgeting with those dice, is there anything special about him?" The butler replied, curious about the man that the saintess was talking about.

However, the woman shook her head and took another sip of tea afterward.

"I’ve tried talking to him several tis, and I’ve even asked for his na, yet he just stared at whenever I saw him in my dream," Ave Gayle replied.

The old butler nodded, understanding the woman’s explanation.

"Maybe he wants to tell you sothing," he uttered.

"Like what? And if that is true, why is he not responding to any of my questions?" The seer answered right away.

"Hmnn, or maybe he’s just giving you a warning or clue." The old butler held his chin as he answered.

"That can be the case, but it’s impossible given the number of tis I’ve t him," Ave Gayle replied.

Then the man chuckled and shared so new knowledge with the seer.

"Saintess, I don’t know if you already heard this reason when you dread about a certain person," he said, staring at the woman’s eyes.

Ave Gayle spoke no more and just waited for the old man to continue his words.

"Old people thought that those who appeared inside their dreams out of nowhere wanted to see them so much," he said.

"Pardon?" Ave Gayle exclaid as she smiled an awkward one.

However, the man just laughed at her, shaking his head.

"If he really wanted to see , he should co at then, but why is it always him?" the saintess added and let out a short laugh that captured the butler’s attention.

"Why, though? What do you an?" The old man asked.

"Because I believe that he’s not the only one who wants to see ," Ave Gayle answered, laughing.

Then, as the butler saw her laughter, it got into him, and he began to laugh as well.

Afterward, the seer drank the rest of the tea and gave back the cup to the butler; the sun was now up in the sky. Ave Gayle decided to stand up and return to her room when the old man spoke once again.

"Co to think of it, if I’m not mistaken, Lady Uoiea has a bracelet with a dice as its pendant," he said out of the blue.

Upon hearing his remark, the saintess turned around and gave him a reply.

"And what about it?" Ave Gayle replied.

Her brows knitted upon thinking of the connection between the two.

"No, it’s not what you think it is. I just rembered that the empire’s princess treasured a thing similar to the man in your dream, and it’s not an ordinary dice either," the butler answered.

"And again, I don’t know if you already heard about it, but the princess snuck out of the palace the other day evening," he added.

"What?" Ave Gayle couldn’t help but exclaim as soon as she heard of it.

’Why would it be? There must be a reason for it,’ she thought, staring into the old man, waiting for answers.

Then the butler spilled it out upon seeing the curiosity hiding behind the saintess’ eyes.

"She went with the knights of Frostbloom Kingdom. As far as I’ve heard, the prince of the Kingdom of Frost asked for the emperor’s assistance regarding a certain matter, but the old man declined to provide help from the empire, and that’s the mont the princess snuck out and ca with them," he stated.

"It’s been the first ti I’ve heard Uoiea do this kind of thing," Ave Gayle uttered, shaking her head.

. . . . .

The snake was dumbfounded upon hearing the silver-haired demon’s remark.

"No, the deities wouldn’t do that kind of thing," the monster said, rejecting what he had heard.

Zeno laughed once more and spoke while patting the snake’s head.

"Then where are they now?" He asked, which made the monster speechless.

"See? I pity you, corrupted by their promises and words. How long has it been since those beings showed themselves?" Zeno added.

The snake found no words to retort to the demon; all of what he said was true and the truth after all. The deities were gone a long ti ago, and they left them rotten in this place, unable to leave for hundreds of years.

"T-They really—" the monster lowered its head and was about to say sothing, but a projectile coming in their direction hindered it from doing so.

Zeno stayed seated while the monster dove to evade. Afterward, a voice echoed from the depths of the place.

"I’m wondering why you’re taking so long to take care of a bunch of human beings, so I ca to check. Do not tell you’re believing such lies from that demon’s filthy mouth, Tencent?" said a monster with a humanoid appearance with one eye, two mouths, three horns, four elongated ears, and five pairs of featherlike wings at his back.

. . . . .

Jez and Royle gulped upon sensing the new monster that had arrived. They felt the imnse pressure coming from him, while the rest of the rcenaries got suffocated from it and fell on their knees.

Goor, who had just gotten back from retrieving Allesanah’s corpse, even experienced difficulty breathing.

This continued for a few seconds after Rye cast a defense buff that cancelled out the pressure. Then she started to hug her friend’s dead body and mourn while Goor looked back at the happenings in front of them, and his knees started to shake as he looked at the monster with five pairs of wings.

’I think we should really not poke our nose inside this sinkhole; now I’m wondering if this was the underworld the saintess was talking about,’ he thought.

’We’re still not that far from the entrance, and we already suffered a casualty,’ he stated inside his mind, and he took a mont to glance at Allesanah.

. . . . .

"Though how co a demon managed to enter this place?" The monster spoke once more, asking while staring at Zeno.

Then after, Zeno stood up from the snake’s head and burst into laughter.

"Hey! Did you see your reflection already? You’re much more of a demon than ," he replied, mocking the newly-arrived monster.

"Such impudence! How dare a demon like you question this appearance made by them? Know your place," the monster replied, anger present in his voice.

The next second, he flapped his wings, and hundreds of steel feathers flew towards the demon. anwhile, Zeno pulled out both of the twin daggers at Tencent’s head, and they transford into a jet-black shield that blocked the projectiles.

"That pattern!" The monster exclaid after seeing the four dots at each corner of the huge shield.

’Impossible; this can’t be true,’ he thought with two of his mouths wide open.

"However, that thing... I’m certain about it!" He uttered, and he examined Zeno’s appearance as soon as the shield retracted to its neutral form.

"Silver h-hair, dull eyes.... r-re-red dice and a black one," he identified each of Zeno’s features.

Then he began to step backward; his entire body was shaking.

"Y-you’re the Eighth Sove—" he said, but a jet-black arrow ca straight to his neck.

He tried to evade, but a hand flickering with black lightning held him in the face, preventing him from avoiding the incoming projectile. Then after, Zeno struck him on the side of his head with a dagger’s blade, and the arrow pierced his neck, killing him on the spot, yet Zeno still slamd him on the ground, turning his head into minceat.

"Telling soone’s past is simply digging your very own grave," Zeno stated as he stood up and looked behind. He stared at the huge snake before directing his gaze towards the group of rcenaries.

"Did you guys hear sothing?" He asked, smiling with his eyes closed.
