"Royle! You look good, just for today, though."
"Hey, Royle! Wait for or I’ll cook you alive!"
"Royle, dumbass,"
"Royle, here, you fool!"
"Royle!"
Allesanah’s voice rang inside Royle’s head; all of his thoughts were about her and her alone.
’I’ll avenge you even if it costs my life,’ Royle promised inside his mind, and he activated his Legacy afterwards.
His unique ability, known as Life Sacrifice, enabled him to convert his life force to increase his strength to greater heights.
"Jez, move out," he uttered, his hair still growing at an incredible rate.
The duke glanced at his comrade after giving a punch to the monster, pushing it a few distances away, however, it just shrugged its shoulders, even though it took the attack head-on.
"Royle," Jez uttered. He knew the exact feeling his friend was experiencing at the mont, so he made way for him and stepped out of the scene.
’If it happens to Rye, I can’t be sane either,’ he thought, but he shook his head in an instant to erase it from his mind.
"I won’t let that happen," he uttered.
Then Royle dashed through the monster as he swung his spear, aiming its pointed edges at the strange creature.
It was blocked by the long nails, but Royle retracted his spear and used its shaft, slamming it at the creature, but it caused no damage. The monster remained standing and didn’t get pushed even an inch.
"More! Give more!" Royle exclaid upon seeing that his strength was nowhere near enough to injure the strange creature.
However, his hair, which had already reached his feet, stopped growing and instead began to turn white.
Then he spun his spear, with a bluish light covering the whole of it, and a beam ca out from his weapon as soon as he shoved it at the monster’s mouth.
However, the snake, from its eye socket, spat a small black sphere in a consecutive manner, which made Royle leap upward.
Then he plumted below with the tip of his spear pointing at the monster’s head. Like a bolt of lightning, it pierced the creature’s skull.
"For Alles!" Royled yelled.
The next mont, he tried to pull out his spear, but it got stuck, and when the sharp nails moved, clawing him upward, he had no choice but to let go of his weapon and jump backward to evade.
Afterward, he watched his spear get absorbed by the monster’s body.
"Why did you keep stealing those precious things from ?" Royle yelled.
He was about to charge again with his fist when he heard sothing shatter at the backline, causing him to look back.
. . . . .
"H-how co? My shield," Rye uttered; her eyes had widened due to the scene that transpired before her.
Never in her life had she seen her shield get broken with just a simple push. It had the blessing of the Deity of Fortitude, which made it impossible for anyone to break it. Even the hero Ren couldn’t slice through it, but now this man in front of her shattered it without exerting much effort.
Like the priestess, Goor and the other rcenaries dropped their jaws as well.
’Is he for real?’ They thought.
They all stared at the silver-haired man like he was so sort of freak.
"Do I really have to explain myself?" Zeno asked, shaking his head.
Then he walked forward and smirked after he saw Jez looking at him.
"I’ll take over now; let handle that," he said, tapping the duke’s shoulder.
And after a few seconds, he passed Royle; he looked at his eyes but didn’t say a single word and proceeded to confront the creature.
"Demon, who are you to step in this place? You are not welco in here," the monster said and raised his hand, pointing the nails at Zeno.
"Eliminate!" It added, then charged at the silver-haired man.
The ground shook with its every step, and it slashed its hands as it ca closer to him.
Zeno yawned and tossed the black dice up in the air while staring at the sharp nails coming in his direction.
"Do you have no any other move?" He asked and bent his body backward to evade before tumbling up and kicking the monster’s head upward.
Though his attack was blocked, the long arms of the creature hindered its trajectory.
Then Zeno leaped up, pushing the ground with his palm, and caught the dice with one of its surfaces glowing.
Soon after, jet-black gauntlets covered his hands all the way to his arms while he aid a punch straight at the monster’s head.
"Jack," he whispered, and he struck his fist downward.
In that one mont, the surrounding area quivered, and a huge crater with a hole at its center appeared. The monster was sent hundreds of ters beneath the ground by the demon’s punch.
Afterward, a black lightning bolt descended out of nowhere and crept inside the hole.
. . . . .
anwhile, all the rcenaries, especially Rye and Goor, dropped their weapons due to extre shock after witnessing how the silver-haired man destroyed the monster that even three Diamond-classes were helpless against.
"It’s really him," Goor said after seeing the black lightning strike once more.
. . . . .
Then the mont Zeno landed on the ground, he looked down at the crater and smiled.
"Yes, get up in here and show more!" He said.
Then an explosion underneath the ground occurred and sent chunks of soil hurling in all directions. After that, the monster ca out, charging at Zeno.
The snakes on its eyesockets were shooting projectiles, but the gauntlets on the demon’s hands turned into a scythe before cutting them in half.
"Die, demon! Die!" The monster yelled, and chaotic energy enveloped its nails before it whipped them at the silver-haired man.
"You’re too agitated, aren’t you?" Zeno said, laughing.
His laughter was so loud that it echoed throughout the whole place. While spinning his scythe at his hand, he interrupted the creature’s attack with his weapon’s shaft.
The next second, he vanished without any warning along with the scythe, and then the monster’s head was detached from its body and fell, rolling on the ground as soon as Zeno ppeared behind it with a pair of jet-black daggers. Then he gave the monster a left kick, which caused its body to be slamd against the walls. Afterward, he walked toward its head and was about to pick it up when he saw the two snakes protruding from its eyes run away from its empty eye sockets.
"It looks like my guess is right," Zeno uttered.
"That thing here is its real body," he added as he stared at the little creature.
Despite having two heads, it shared just one body without a tail.
Then, as it wiggled away from Zeno, Royle jumped on it, trying to catch the snake. However, it grew in terms of size all of a sudden, making the rest of the rcenaries freeze in fear upon seeing the true nature of the creature.
Towering fangs that were taller than Royle, protruding horns at both sides of its two heads that curled towards its front, and black scales with checkered pattern that were quite strudy even with just a glance.
Royle stepped backward as the two snakes hissed at him, but a rcenary from the group snuck out and ca to share his knowledge on how to capture and ta that kind of monster upon seeing it.
However, the mont he ca closer, the snake swallowed him whole. He forgot that the creatures living there were totally different from what they had above ground.
"No! It’s still dangerous here!" Royle exclaid after witnessing how the snake licked its mouth after eating the man.
The next second, Zeno walked towards it, and the snake spat a huge black sphere of energy as soon as its yellowish eyes spotted him coming closer.
"Is this your limit?" Zeno asked as he deflected the sphere with just a dagger.
It was sent into a pillar that was easily destroyed upon touching it. The attack created tremors and vibrations as soon as it exploded, yet Zeno ignored them all and continued his steps in the monster’s direction.
"Don’t tell you’re nothing without a host?" Zeno added another question.
Then, in just a blink of an eye, he appeared standing at the monster’s head, sitting like a boss. The creature wagged his body and even slamd itself into the walls to get the demon to fall down, yet Zeno was never bothered by the monster’s actions. Its other head tried to swallow him nurous tis, but the demon just gave it a flick each ti it ca closer.
"Let have a peace of silence during my interrogation, will you?" Zeno said as he struck both of his daggers on the top of the monster between its horns.
Then the creature spoke at last while writhing in pain.
"You! You’ll regret coming into this place, Demon! I’m not the only one here!" The snake said, assuring that Zeno would regret becoming a part of the expedition.
"Hmnn, I hope they can satisfy ," the demon answered.
"Foolish demon! They are several tis stronger than . We who have been chosen by the deities will make sure to bury you alive here!" It said, hissing.
Upon hearing the words, Zeno thought for a few seconds before speaking.
"Deities, huh?" He smirked.
Then he pulled out his daggers and struck them one more ti at the creature’s head, which made it wriggle again due to the sudden pain.
"It’s more like being abandoned and not chosen by them," he added with a wide smile painted on his lips.
