Chapter 691: Chapter 28: Strongest Demon Exorcist
"Tired? Do you want to rest for a while?" Tianmiao gently asked the young lady who was trying to keep up with them while holding a puppy in her arms.
"C-can we rest for a while before moving on?" The young lady was quite surprised. Given the dangers of the Lost Land, leaving this place as soon as possible was the priority.
"We can." Tianmiao glanced at Tuoba Wu, "Our people also need rest."
Tuoba Wu scratched his head awkwardly. He was indeed very tired, but hadn’t had the courage to say it. Although they hadn’t encountered any demons that couldn’t be managed yet, if they did, there would be no way out.
"You weakling," Lin Duoduo couldn’t help but tease Tuoba Wu again.

"Let’s take a break." Tianmiao took out a mat and a few quilts, handing one to the young lady, "You can rest for a while."
After getting a quilt, Tuoba Wu wrapped himself up like a cocoon and was about to sleep. Before he slept, he said to Lin Duoduo, "Keep watch first. I’ll take over after a short nap. Don’t talk, and I’ll treat you to a al as thanks once we’re out, okay?"
Lin Duoduo snorted, considering it an agreent.
"Duoduo, you should rest too. I’ll keep watch," Tianmiao ordered with a commanding tone.
Lin Duoduo looked at Tuoba Wu, who was already snoring slightly, nodded, and wrapped herself tighter in the quilt, falling asleep as well.
Mo Bai Ning sat quietly at one side, resting his eyes but not lying down to sleep.
The young lady opened her eyes wide at how they managed to fall asleep directly in the Lost Land, and so quickly. Were they truly skillful and gutsy, or just insensitive?
Tianmiao turned his head and said to the young lady, "You can sleep a while too, no need to worry. I’ll be here keeping watch."
The young lady nodded, holding her puppy, wanting to sleep. However, laying down, she found herself too exhausted to actually do so, and sat back up, looking at Tianmiao, "Aren’t you curious why I’m here, why I was saved by the demon? Also, why was I under that small hut? Don’t you find it strange?"
Tianmiao glanced at the puppy in the young lady’s arms, "Our mission is to get you out safely, nothing more."
"But you agreed to help the demon escape. I’m really grateful," the young lady said with a grateful look after a pause.
"However, I also said, if he poses a threat to innocent people, I will deal with him myself," Tianmiao smiled.
"He won’t, and neither will you," the young lady said firmly, clutching the puppy tightly.
"Alright. So, take a good rest. After holding on for so many days, you must be exhausted," Tianmiao said softly.
"Yes, thank you." The young lady lay down holding her puppy again, thinking she wouldn’t be able to fall asleep. But soon, she drifted into a deep sleep.
When the young lady woke up, she found everyone up already, sitting around a bright fire, eating. The fire consisted of a durable fuel placed in a round box - a great choice for camping. The young lady was naturally familiar with it, as it was a product from one of her family’s corporation’s companies.
"Awake? Co, have so hot food." Tianmiao handed a heated al box to the young lady.
"Thank you." The young lady sat next to Tianmiao, took the al box, and with a smile said, "I’ll have my father give you more money when we’re back."
