The two stepped into the dimly lit bar, which didn’t resemble a quiet bar at all. The colorful lights danced in the shaking liquid, and the trembling speakers pumped aggressive electronic music into the bones of everyone inside.

Jiang Shu shivered, feeling his body involuntarily sway with the explosive music.

It seed this world still didn’t have energetic young n and fancy hand movents – otherwise, he might... Never mind, better not pollute this world.

Suddenly, he heard whistles erupting everywhere, accompanied by continuous howls, as all the n’s eyes unanimously focused on the small stage at the center of the venue.

On the small central stage, a young woman dressed in extrely spicy attire stood there, wearing a black and white striped duckbill cap which hid the upper half of her face, but from her straight nose and rosy lips, along with the delicate curve of her lower face, it was not hard to imagine she was stunningly beautiful.

She wore a white, midriff-baring, short-sleeved shirt and a denim jacket left open, paired with short hot pants.

After ntally describing the clothing, Jiang Shu dared not detail further. Another look could be risky, but in summary, it was very nice.

The girl on stage began to dance vigorously, her graceful figure moving to the strong beat of the drums.

Jiang Shu watched blankly, not so much at how the dance was perford, but he vaguely felt this woman looked familiar.

As the music approached its end, the howls from the audience grew louder and more frequent.

"Who is she? Do you know her?" Jiang Shu asked the lady beside him.

The woman observed the dancer closely, shaking her head, "I’ve never seen her. Is she a guest? What’s up?"

"Nothing much," Jiang Shu suppressed his curiosity casually answering, "Just that they’re dancing quite well."

"They?" The woman didn’t understand what he ant.

Jiang Shu didn’t explain, but sothing beside him did.

Beta: The world is wonderful; when she dances, it dances too.

"Um, Mr. Jiang, Mr. Garcia is waiting for you on the top floor; he said the operation has already begun," the woman ntioned, having received a ssage from Garcia at that mont.

"Okay, I know," Jiang Shu nodded. He felt soone tugging at his clothes and turned to see Alpha’s screen flashing with a comparison ssage.

Alpha: Match successful. The woman on stage has an 80% resemblance to Shen Xuwan.

"Shen Xuwan?" Jiang Shu frowned, imdiately recalling Shen Xuwan’s sister, "Are you sure? Wrong, what’s the probability they are siblings?"

Alpha: 72%

Could it really be this lodramatic?

Jiang Shu stood on his tiptoes, watching the girl descend from the stage and disappear quickly into the surging crowd, as circles of n moved towards her.

"Damn it," he cursed, squeezing through the crowd. Two cards at his side shoved others away, clearing a path for him.

But when he got through the crowd, he had already lost sight of the woman.

"Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, take over surveillance, find that woman," Jiang Shu ordered without hesitation.

Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta quickly started to operate, swiftly breaching the security wall of the floor’s surveillance and accessed the footage.

Alpha: Walk straight for ten ters, then open the door in front of you, turn left then right, she’s by the bar inside.

"Shen Xuwan, what does your sister look like? Does she resemble you?" Jiang Shu opened his wristwatch, input the voice ssage to send to Shen Xuwan, then followed Alpha’s directions, running swiftly.

Soon, he saw the woman’s figure from behind.

Indeed, she resembled Shen Xuwan’s silhouette.

"Wait!" He rushed forward, blocking the woman’s path, leaning on the bar to catch his breath, looking at the woman under the duckbill cap.

He looked like Shen Xuwan, really did.

No way, was this the legendary soap opera scenario? Stumbling upon an employee’s sister just by wandering into a nightclub?

"Do you need sothing?" The woman stopped, looking at the man in front of her with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile.

"You look a lot like a friend of mine," Jiang Shu said.

The woman laughed lightly, shallow dimples appearing on her face, "I thought such a cheesy pickup line only existed in classic novels."

"No, I’m serious, what I an is..." Jiang Shu fumbled for the right words.

"Don’t rush, take your ti to think it over, have a drink," the woman said, taking two glasses of alcohol from the bar and handing him one. She adjusted the brim of her cap, revealing deep eyes that seed capable of speech.

Jiang Shu instinctively took the glass, but rembering he shouldn’t drink carelessly, he placed it back on the bar. He asked, "Do you know a woman nad Shen Xuwan?"

"I don’t," the woman shrugged, "You’ve mistaken for soone else."

At this mont, Jiang Shu’s wristwatch vibrated. He looked down at the ssage; it was from Shen Xuwan.

Shen Xuwan: I do have a sister, but we’re not blood-related. She was brought by that man. After my mom’s car accident, that man took her away.

The next second, Shen Xuwan sent another ssage: What’s wrong? Is there a problem?

"Sorry, I mistook you for soone else. I have other matters to attend to, so I must be going," Jiang Shu realized he might have encountered a rare case of mistaken identity, and imdiately turned to leave, "Farewell, beautiful lady."

He ran swiftly towards the nearest safety passageway and after ascending two flights of stairs, he reached the rooftop.

Garcia was still waiting for him; he had to deal with Garcia’s issue.

After Jiang Shu left, the woman in the duckbill cap picked up the glass he had touched and shone a penlight she carried with her on it.

In the fluorescent light, the faint fingerprints were unmistakably visible.

——

The location Garcia ntioned was an empty room with a swimming pool at the center.

Jiang Shu walked over and lay down on a lounge chair by the pool. To his left, Garcia, who had been waiting, sat patiently.

"Mr. Jiang, you’ve arrived just in ti. The operation over there has already started. Let’s watch together," Garcia checked the ti and pressed several buttons on his wristwatch. The ceiling slowly closed.

Projector screens appeared on the ceiling, divided into quarters. The footage was shaky, indicating that the caras were likely mounted on the heads of four individuals.

Live streaming an assault on the chanical Disciples?

Jiang Shu crossed his legs, watching the scene in the projection.

It was noisy on the other side; gunshots, explosions, the shouts and screams of Combat personnel all blended together. The whole screen was tinged with red, the mixture of blood and oil scattering everywhere.

He watched with great interest, if he might say so, such raw footage wouldn’t need any editing to be thrown into a cinema, it would beco the best war movie. Perhaps it would even win film awards for its postmodernist direction and highly authentic portrayal of war.

Four waves of forces poured into the chanical Disciples’ stronghold: each wave included a few mbers of the Violent Terror Mobile Team, a few police officers, and employees of Seal Security Company. No, that wasn’t right—they were no re employees but disguised rcenaries acting under the commission of the police.

The police, in conjunction with a group of White Hats, launched an assault after pinpointing the coordinates of the chanical Disciples’ Prosthetic Eyes. Using overheating to severely weaken their Combat capabilities, their proud advantage was turned into a glaring weakness.

The police had information provided by Seal Security and had preemptively mapped out the stronghold’s layout. Prepared for action, they had kept the chanical Disciples continuously on the defensive.

Still, these chanical maniacs resisted fiercely, leveraging the terrain and a small arsenal, inflicting casualties upon the police forces.

The owner of the cara view had changed several tis, and the footage Jiang Shu was now watching was already the fourth iteration.

"We’re about to win," Garcia smiled.

Jiang Shu nodded, "Indeed, let offer my early congratulations, Mr. Garcia."
