Jiang Shu stiffly leaned on the sofa, motionless.

The private eting room on the penthouse was uniquely adorned, its opulent décor revealing a touch of nobility that was indescribable in re words; it was resplendent in Baroque style.

Three minutes earlier, under the escort’s guidance, Jiang Shu had t Garcia.

"Mr. Jiang, I’ve finally been waiting for you. Co, co, have a seat," Garcia said cheerfully as he stood up and swayed towards Jiang Shu.

"Um," Jiang Shu nodded and followed Garcia toward the seats, deliberately choosing a sowhat secluded corner to sit down.

Then the escort sat down too, her high-slit cheongsam spreading over him with a "swoosh," and as the soft jade entered his embrace, Jiang Shu’s body stiffened.

"Um... you sit over there," Jiang Shu scooted inside the couch, slightly pushing the lady away with his hands.

"Mr. Jiang..." The escort’s expression changed slightly, but she quickly reverted to her coquettish deanor, her voice remaining sweet, "Then, shall I change to another girl for you? I’m not sure what type Mr. Jiang prefers?"

"Uh..." Jiang Shu didn’t move; he just looked at the woman who was close and had turned her head towards him.

The escorts who appeared in this club were all carefully selected; she had a naturally fox-like face, pretending to have a cool deanor, yet her eyes could reveal a distinct charm that was irresistible.

The fleshiness was just right; any more would seem slightly bloated, any less, and it would lack fullness.

"I didn’t an that," Jiang Shu shrank back again, managing to pull a two-inch gap between himself and the escort on the single-seat sofa.

A narrow interval appeared between the two.

A: The gap does not enter.

B: Brother, does not enter.

"Oh..." The escort imdiately stood up, first bowing then apologizing, "Sorry, I didn’t understand your...preferences in advance, my apologies, I’ll go right away..."

"No! Co back! Sit here!" Jiang Shu spoke in haste, his voice slightly louder.

The escort quickly sat back down, a trace of fear appearing on her face; she glanced at Jiang Shu, then at Garcia not far away, her body trembling slightly; she was very scared.

B: Midnight Hazard.

Jiang Shu: "..."

Damn you!

He grabbed a small yi off the floor, wound its four legs together, then calmly twisted it.

"What’s the matter? Mr. Jiang, did she do sothing wrong?" Despite greeting guests at the front, Garcia had heard the commotion behind him. He eyed the escort who was separated from Jiang Shu, his eyes narrowing, his voice carrying a harsh tone, "I can change her for you, don’t worry, we have anything you like here."

Jiang Shu felt the woman beside him gently tugging at his clothes, seemingly pleading.

"There’s nothing wrong; she’s fine." He smiled and declined Garcia’s offer, then affectionately wrapped his arm around the woman’s slender waist, "It’s okay, Mr. Garcia, you go ahead."

"Yes, sorry, after I’ve arranged my staff, I’ll co or find you, probably around eight o’clock," Garcia said politely, then pulled out a black card from his coat pocket, "If you don’t mind, please take this mbership card. With this card, Mr. Jiang, you can play freely in the club and put the charges on the card. Let her keep you company."

"Okay," Jiang Shu accepted the card. He stood up, allowing the woman beside him to cling to his arm, "Thank you, then I won’t bother you any longer, see you later, Mr. Garcia."

"See you later," Garcia nodded and headed to the other end of the eting room.

Jiang Shu looked at the woman beside him and silently withdrew his arm, "What’s fun here?"

"What does Mr. Jiang want to play? Here, anything that n would like, we have it," the escort smiled wryly.

"Only n would like?" Jiang Shu asked, puzzled. He rembered that this was a staff gathering and then asked, "Does your company... not have any female staff?"

"Female staff?" The escort froze slightly, then chuckled shyly, "Soone like would be considered female staff, I suppose."

"Er, just take for a stroll," Jiang Shu stated formally, and left the eting room with the escort.

He did not ask for her na; firstly, asking would only get a nickna, and secondly, after today, he would have no relations with her; knowing her na might create unnecessary connections, which was not needed.

This situation was sowhat akin to people and pets; once a pet is nad, even if you are only together for a day or two, they inexplicably linger in your mind.

After all, he did not know many people in this world.

Wait, why is he always associating people with pets lately?

It was all Kirie’s fault, always addressing him formally and leading him astray! No, he must rectify the way he addresses others when he gets back.

Jiang Shu was internally grumbling.

Besides the eting room, there was nothing else on the top floor, so the escort took Jiang Shu down a level.

"Here’s the casino, do you want to play?" the escort looked at Jiang Shu, "Your mbership card itself can overdraw quite a bit."

"Casino? Not interested," Jiang Shu shook his head, the way of playing in this world was similar to his previous life.

"Okay, then let’s go down one more level," the escort didn’t say much, just continued downward with Jiang Shu.

"In the casino, is there any cheating technique? I’m not just talking about here," Jiang Shu casually asked in the elevator.

"Cheating technique? What’s that?" The escort didn’t understand what he was saying.

Jiang Shu said, "It’s basically cheating."

"Cheating?" The escort frowned and then shook her head, "I only heard about such things when I was a child; nowadays, there’s no such thing."

"Why?" Jiang Shu was puzzled; he thought that it would be tough to avoid such things.

In such a mixed place, it’s hard to guarantee that no one is harboring ulterior motives, right?

If studied extensively, used in performances, it’s called Magic, and used in places like this, it would probably be called a cheating technique.

Undeniably, both share certain commonalities.

"A long ti ago, there was a reform; guests rarely co into contact with paper cards, and the dealers use exceedingly simple chanical prosthetics to deal cards. If there were any superfluous movents, they would be easily detected, plus the omnipresent caras..." the escort continued, "It’s very difficult to cheat."

"Um," Jiang Shu understood, no wonder the people of Lonely City couldn’t perceive his Paper Card Magic; they generally had zero research in this area.

If he used the Derivative Entry "Paper Card Technique" in such places, no need to think, he would undoubtedly make a huge impact, but other than drawing attention, it wouldn’t be useful.

Feather Coins after all, he wasn’t in much need of money right now.

"Ding—", the elevator reached the lower level.

"This is the dance hall, and it’s also a bar," the escort looked at him, "Would you like to go in and have a couple of drinks?"

"Can," Jiang Shu agreed, not really to drink but to watch the dancing and cultivate an artistic sense.

As everyone knows, magicians need to cultivate artistic bacteria.
