In the evening, Old Granny Zhang returned with a look of triumph on her face.

I heard it sounded like your Fourth Brother and Fourth Sister-in-law were matchmakers for that aunt. That aunt was actually a clan aunt from the Wang Family, with the last na Qin, known as Aunt Qin.
Wang Yongzhu had an impression of her as a very warm-hearted person. She acted as a matchmaker but never spoke empty words, not the type who would exaggerate before marriage and turn households against each other after marriage.

All her nephews adore her.”
“My niece is excellent except for a bit of childish temperant. However, she gets over things quickly. At first, her family disagreed, mainly fearing issues with in-laws later on, but didn’t you assure , sister-in-law? Wang Yongzhu thought the girl from the town sounded wonderful. However, given the current norms, people tended not to marry a girl who lost her mother early, believing without a female elder’s guidance, she lacked proper upbringing.
But Wang Yongzhu thought that Miss Quan, being capable enough to secure her own future, wasn’t bad. Even if she was a bit shrewd, it wasn’t a problem since Jindou was too honest. If he married a similarly honest wife, they might easily fall under Lady Lin’s control.

Jindou, however, seed to have sothing to say.
