The next day, Sylutia ca here again, and Siena had already arrived early. The woman held the firearm in her hands, stroking it over and over again with satisfaction, visibly delighted.
Seeing Sylutia approach, Siena finally put down the gun.
"Hedra, you're absolutely amazing~" She happily hugged the young girl, her overwhelming presence making Sylutia want to dodge.
Fortunately, she didn't do anything more, just held her to vent so overly excited emotions before slowly setting Sylutia down.
"Very satisfied. Hedra, you did an excellent job." She showered her with various praises, but the girl didn't feel much from them. Still, seeing her work gain recognition did bring a little happiness.
"Here's your extra reward, along with three 'Third Tier·Rare' rubies." Originally, the agreed price was 1,500 gold coins, but Siena gave an extra 500, totaling 2,000 gold coins plus three gems.
After accepting, Sylutia thought for a mont and asked her: "These materials and the reward—how long did Siena prepare them?"
"Well, off and on for about three years. The gems and gold coins were saved up over those three years, while the Black Magic Copper was obtained from my last expedition. It's rare to have such good materials, and selling them seed too wasteful, so I took all my savings and commissioned a custom weapon." She answered happily.
"Three years, huh."
Sylutia did a quick calculation. Siena could save about 1,000 gold coins per year. According to current mainstream trends, mages typically spend two-thirds of their annual inco, aning she earned around 3,000 gold coins a year. That was average for a Fourth Tier mage.
Hearing Sylutia ask about ti, Siena quickly understood what she was thinking and explained.
"I'm the type with heavy expenses. I like a lot of things, so I rarely have much left over. Well, considering expedition hauls, quests, and academy duties, I earn nearly 5,000 gold coins a year."
"That much?" The girl was surprised.
"Of course. But right now, you're only Second Tier, so you can only access limited things—that's why you're so amazed." Siena thought of sothing.
"It looks like you'll advance soon. If you ever go exploring in the Shadow World in the future, you can directly co to Tower No. 57, 'Tear-Drop Tower,' to find . I usually rest and stay there."
"Secret realm expeditions can gather a lot of resources. That's why every organization values the Shadow World."
"The higher your rank, the deeper and more dangerous the areas you can enter, but also the richer the resources. My 'Black Magic Copper' ca from there." She thought for a mont, then pulled out a small piece of Black Magic Copper from her waist pouch.
"Take this as a gift. It's only three grams, but if you add it during forging, it can improve quality a lot."
"Black Magic Copper is extrely heat-resistant, and the material forged with it becos especially sturdy. It can be used for the outer frawork to protect internal structures."
After that, she taught Sylutia quite a bit about materials before standing up.
"Anyway, thanks for today, Hedra. I need to head back. See you next ti~" With that, she shouldered her gun case and walked out.
After Siena left, the nearby receptionist started talking about her.
"Siena is a mber of the 'Fire Essence School.' They're very skilled with gunpowder and explosives. The school currently runs many fireworks and gunpowder workshops, as well as firearm and cannon workshops. Many mbers equip themselves with a gun for combat and self-defense."
Thanking the receptionist for the introduction and help, Sylutia now had around 4,000 gold coins after completing this task. She still had a gap of 7,000 gold coins.
She checked the public quest board again. There were currently no high-paying forging quests, and many other quests were restricted by her tier, so she couldn't take them either.
It seed she needed a different approach. She left and headed to the academy's comrcial district, making her way to the 'Windfall rchant Guild' headquarters.
After telling the driver, it took half an hour to bring Sylutia to a large building shaped like an inverted bowl. The interior was hollow, with each floor forming a ring, filled with various small and large comrcial shops. The floors were divided into a food district, clothing district, material district, alchemical creations district, and rare resources district.
Following the wide spiral stairs, Sylutia moved up to the third-floor material district, where various materials for alchemical creations were sold, many of which weren't produced by the Mage Alliance.
"If you need Evening Primrose, please co this way." Although Sylutia looked young, only Second Tier, the Tetis College badge she wore made the service staff here dare not neglect her, enthusiastically guiding her.
Soon, her footsteps stopped in front of a shop exuding a forest atmosphere, bearing the sign 'Breeze and Vanilla'.
Entering, Sylutia saw an elf woman sitting behind the counter, holding a cat. She looked around twenty years old, with a simple ponytail.
"Hello, do you sell Evening Primrose here?" Sylutia asked.
"We do have Evening Primrose. 15 gold coins per plant." She set the cat down and stood up.
Quite a bit more expensive than what the academy offers. I wonder about the quality. Sylutia said she'd like to take a look.
"Wait a mont." The other went to the back and brought out a sealed drawer. Opening it revealed a faint chill inside.
[Evening Primrose] (Second Tier·Good) - A plant imbued with the Luminous Moon Aspect, usable for potion-making.
The quality was similar to what the academy offered. Their supply sources were probably the sa.
"Do you have any higher quality?"
"Yes, but limited quantities. 30 gold coins per plant, Excellent quality." That price was already higher than an ordinary White Moon Potion.
"Give ten plants of Excellent quality Evening Primrose, plus fifty plants of Good quality."
"That'll be 1,050 gold coins total. Please pay first." The other quickly calculated the price.
"Alright." Sylutia placed a few gems on the counter.
The other counted and inspected them, then nodded slightly. She went to the back to retrieve the Evening Primrose Sylutia needed, even thoughtfully storing it in a compact carrying case.
"The case has a temporary 'Slumbering Winter' Aspect spell applied, which can maintain low temperatures for half a day. I recomnd keeping it refrigerated after returning, or using it as soon as possible."
"Also, do you need any other auxiliary herbs? I offer those here too." Seeing Sylutia buying so generously without even haggling, the elf's attitude improved.
"Auxiliary herbs? Yes, I do need so." Making White Moon Potions also required many auxiliary ingredients, but those were just common herbs available in many places.
She bought 20 gold coins' worth of auxiliary herbs. Sylutia used her magic hands to lift the case and herb bundle and left.
Watching her retreating figure, the elf felt a flicker of curiosity.
"Her ntal power is really stable. She can use that projection spell to carry things for so long. Also, I feel like she has so kind of floral scent on her... maybe it's just my imagination."
"Anyway, I'll lie down a bit more. When my sister cos to take over in the afternoon, I'll go shopping. There are so many new things coming from the Mage Alliance. No wonder the guild's core business is here."
With that, the elf lay back in her chair, leisurely passing the ti tending the shop.
