A horde of zombies lunged directly at the shields, and Lu Chen stood at the forefront alone, as nurous Ice Blades pierced through their skulls.

All Level 3 Zombies were instantaneously annihilated.

The second floor consisted of countless rooms separated by glass panels. Although this was the basent second level, the reality was that the large open windows on both sides let in copious amounts of sunlight through the glass, restoring light to the group’s eyes. Scattered across the floor were nurous boxes of dicine.

However, what seed abnormal were the several human corpses on the ground, with skin tightly wrapped around their bones, and their eyeballs deeply sunken in, as if they had been sucked dry of their body fluids while still alive.

With a puzzled face, Su Mo observed that several corpses were in this state and could not help but find it strange, "Zombies that don’t eat flesh but suck blood aren’t very common."

Li Qian’s spiritual power continued to diffuse, and he appeared composed as he said, "There’s sothing odd about this place."

Su Mo glanced at him, picked up a box of unknown pills from the desk to examine, and then set it back down.

After that wave of zombies was cleared, the place beca eerily quiet.

Apart from the sound of their footsteps on the carpet, there was no other noise.

The electricity was still on here, and the cold air from the air-conditioning ventilation system was slowly spreading.

The temperature indoors was rather low.

Zhao Changsheng glanced at the ventilation ducts overhead and wondered, "Why would the air conditioning be on at a ti like this?"

As Su Mo walked past several desks, finding no important docunts, she concluded, "Seems like what we’re looking for isn’t on this floor either. Let’s just use the ergency exit."

"I’m afraid that’s not possible. There’s sothing over there, and to go upstairs, we have to pass by that area," Li Qian pointed to a door at the end of the corridor that was ajar.

Just by looking at his expression, Su Mo knew there wouldn’t be anything good behind it. Jianxiong casually picked up a chair from the side and hurled it toward that direction with force.

With a "bang," the chair shattered upon impact, making a loud noise.

The entrance remained silent.

Jianxiong scratched his head, "Nothing there, huh?"

But the situation Li Qian felt with the fluctuations of his spiritual power was not so simple at all. His substantial green threads twined around his body, emitting a faint green glow.

Su Mo gripped her Tang Blade tightly, her gaze fixed on the partially open door. She focused on the floor, where a pool of yellow liquid had gathered at the doorway, and she faintly slled a strange fishy stench.

"It’s about to co out," said Li Qian as his spiritual power spread out, with the threads dancing in the air.

It seed there was a vent that connected the entire second floor, and the sound of the pipe breaking was distinctly jarring in the quiet building.

By the ti the monster burst through the door and appeared before their eyes, even Lu Chen felt sowhat nauseated.

It couldn’t even be called a zombie anymore. Its entire body was a milky white color, with half of its flesh liquefied. Its skull was enveloped by mutated flesh, leaving only a mouth that had three long, giant fangs.

Its body was grotesquely twisted, with a huge key-shaped wrist, and the protruding sharp mutated bones on its palm served as its weapons.

This was a creature that moved solely by hearing, devoid of eyes.

It plunged straight towards Su Mo’s position with its mouth full of sharp teeth letting out a desperate call, "Water... Thirsty, so thirsty!"

"It can actually talk," Su Mo supported herself with one hand on the nearby office desk and jumped up to avoid its direct attack.

Ice Blade’s thorns on the ground instantly spread towards it and pierced through its feet. Its speed was very fast, but the man’s prediction and attack were also exceptionally precise, piercing it right through the soles.

Just when Su Mo and the others thought it was so vulnerable, those key-like hands, covered in patterns and bones, started to slowly pull themselves off the ice spike.

She widened her eyes slightly, "What, its vital point isn’t in the head?"

They didn’t have enough ti to be surprised because, following that, a huge tumorous mass was smashed down from the ceiling.

When Su Mo looked over, she was disgusted again. The zombie’s stomach was like a atball that had grown several tis larger, and not only was it covered in grotesque mutated organs but also full of fungus, like flesh-colored moss, covering its entire body, even the head was sunken in.

Jianxiong pulled Li He by the collar and ran a long distance away, still yelling, "Fuck, this thing must have been injected with the virus! The zombies outside aren’t as disgusting as this!"

The big atball slowly got up from the ground, where many blobs of mucus instantly oozed out from the spot it fell.

Zhao Changsheng’s Thunder Whip lashed out directly, and a huge electric current instantly invaded its entire body. The exposed organs were charred considerably, but from within, new ones pulsated and wrapped around again.

She was also sowhat curious, "What kind of monsters are these?"

"Just smash it," Su Mo said, holding the Tang Blade and targeting the zombie that was about to pull itself out nearest to her.

If the head wasn’t the lethal point, then she might as well chop the whole thing off.

She agilely dodged its swinging claws and brought down the Tang Blade squarely on its head.

It was like cutting through cake; she sliced off its soft head completely, and a yellow liquid spurted out from the neck, hissing as it hit the ground, but strangely, it wasn’t any corrosive substance but so kind of manufactured virus.

Su Mo took two steps back and realized it was still moving. She simply jumped back onto the desk to dodge the attack and chopped off both of its large hands, driving the Tang Blade straight into its heart.

Finally, the monster stopped moving, but the atball on the other side had knocked over everything in its path and was charging straight at them.

All of the spiritual power entwined around Li Qian was now flowing towards the giant tumorous mass.

He tried to tear it apart, but to everyone’s surprise, its organs lted while chasing after them, fully withstanding Li Qian’s spiritual power and its body swelling even larger, with liquefying organs and fungus making one’s scalp tingle.

Lu Chen was the first to see sothing was wrong and imdiately said, "Don’t let it get close!"

Everyone scattered, and as the massive atball wobbled on its feet, it turned to chase after Jianxiong before suddenly exploding by itself with a bang.

The blood plasma and organs that burst out caused Jianxiong to reflexively activate All Forms, pinning Li He underneath him, while his back was completely splattered with blood.

"Hiss!"

The virulent liquid burned Jianxiong’s face into a grimace, and his once hardened silver back couldn’t resist the substances spewed by the monster.

This scene made Su Mo’s face darken, "What kind of monsters have these people created using the pharmaceutical company?"
