Chapter 444: Chapter 443: Rescue
The more seriously wounded were all placed in a large warehouse at the back, where all the contents had been cleared out and many people lay on the ground.
They had traveled a great distance to get here, so with minor injuries and others with serious ones. However, there were too few dical staff. Many volunteers ca forward from among the ordinary people. All together, there were only a few of them.
Counting those who could be considered nurses, there were only about a dozen.
“Take to soone who has authority here,” Su Mo said to a soldier.
Soon, she was taken to a doctor who was tending to a wounded person’s broken arm. Su Mo recognized him; he had been the one standing guard in the tent during the flu outbreak.
The doctor recognized her imdiately and quickly stood up, saying, “Why have you co?”
“I’ve co to see if I can be of help. Is there anything you need?” Su Mo asked.
“Bandages, lots of bandages, and anti-inflammatory drugs. Most of these people have physical trauma with large wounds that are easily infected,” the doctor said hopefully.
Su Mo nodded and replied, “I don’t have any bandages, but there are plenty of clean, breathable sportswear. As for anti-inflammatory drugs, I have them. Take sowhere to put them.”
The doctor was thrilled and hurriedly led her to a small office in the back of the warehouse.
“You’re really a godsend!”
Most of the dicine had been brought back from P City Hospital. Su Mo took all of it out and placed it on the table, along with a bag of sportswear. “Have a look. I know a bit about dicine and will be helping out here today,” she said.
“Thank you. I’m so grateful!” He was overjoyed, and even handed her a sowhat yellowed white coat and a pair of gloves from the side, “Wear my clothes!”
Su Mo nodded. She was petite, so the doctor’s white coat hung down below her knees, but she didn’t mind. She put on the gloves and said, “Put the superpower users with serious external injuries first in line for .”
Although many ordinary people were injured, Su Mo still gave priority to superpower users. In this world, only superpower users were the future, a truth both cruel and real.
The doctor acted quickly, taking a dical record book from the table and handing it to her, “I logged ten people this morning with severe injuries, four of whom are doing poorly.”
Su Mo nodded, took several bottles of disinfectant alcohol from the pile of dicines, and retrieved two bottles of Biluochun Tea from the Space, pouring all of it together.
“What is this…?”
If he wasn’t mistaken, were there a few strands of tea leaves floating inside?
Tea mixed with alcohol for dical use?
The doctor’s pupils contracted.
Su Mo glanced at him, her hands mixing without stopping, and said, “Don’t worry. Go have soone turn these clothes into strips for bandaging, so it’s easier to wrap wounds.”
Since she was soone close to those in power, the doctor naturally couldn’t say much and obediently went out to continue with his original tasks.
After Su Mo finished preparing the tea, she took the remaining gauze and, matching the nas on the dical record, went out.
Seemingly worried about her, the doctor specifically assigned her a formal nurse.
After repeatedly warning the nurse not to upset Su Mo, he left her to her work.
The nurse saw that Su Mo was just a tiny thing, and the large white coat looked particularly comical on her. She couldn’t help feeling a bit of contempt.
Su Mo certainly felt that look, but she didn’t care at all and went straight to the superpower user with the most serious injuries.
Comparing the condition on the record, he had decisively cut off his own arm due to a bite wound.
Su Mo sat down next to him. The arm wasn’t bleeding anymore, but the dirty gauze was stained with black, red, and yellow fluid, dampening the blanket beneath.
“Help prop him up,” she said.
The nurse squatted down beside her and voiced her doubts, “Do you know what you are doing? A bottle of alcohol can’t just heal his festering wound.”
Su Mo ignored her and, after propping the semi-conscious superpower user against the wall, she directly began to remove his bandages.
The nurse instantly tried to stop her, “What are you doing! If you just rip that off, the bleeding definitely won’t stop, and we don’t have any Blood Coagulation dicine or blood transfusion equipnt.”
Su Mo beca impatient with her noise and skeptical glances, her round, large eyes shining coldly as she stared at the nurse. Her hands didn’t stop moving as she forcefully ripped off the gauze, tearing away chunks of flesh that had started to rot.
“Hmm,” the semi-conscious superpower user involuntarily cried out in pain.
The previously contained blood gushed out as if a floodgate had been opened.
The nurse was startled by Su Mo’s gaze and then cried out in alarm, “Are you trying to kill him!”
“Have you said enough?” When Su Mo cooled down, her imposing deanor was particularly terrifying.
The aura of a Level 5 Superpower User began to emanate, “I save lives, I certainly have my thods. What you need to do is cooperate with , don’t you understand?”
The nurse was so frightened that she imdiately sat down on the ground. What kind of look was in those eyes?
How could such a cute face have such a deathly heavy gaze?
She started to shake uncontrollably, filled with fear, and could no longer utter a word.
This cute little girl had frightened her into retreat with just a look.
“Are you going to cooperate now?” Su Mo asked indifferently, her expression would surely amaze anyone familiar who saw how similar it was to Lu Chen.
The nurse nodded, her face pale.
“Scalpel,” Su Mo extended her hand.
Regaining her senses, the nurse, with trembling hands, imdiately took a sterilized scalpel from a small box beside her and handed it over.
Su Mo took it, and her imposing attitude slightly receded. She bent down and began to clean the rotting flesh from the superpower user’s arm with the scalpel.
“Gauze.”
“Alcohol.”
The blood continued to flow more abundantly, and the superpower user’s complexion neared pallor.
Yet Su Mo remained completely calm. After tending to his arm, she opened the bottle of alcohol and poured it over the wound.
“Go ask the doctor for so dicine for excessive blood loss,” she commanded.
Not versed in dicine herself, naturally she had to send the nurse to ask for drugs. The nurse didn’t dare look at her and imdiately ran off upon hearing her orders.
The blood, mixed with the alcohol, washed the area, revealing fresh tissue where the blood began to coagulate.
Even though the Biluochun Tea had been diluted with the alcohol, its effect was significant. She took a piece of gauze made from a sportswear fabric, soaked it in so alcohol, and wrapped it around the wound.
She didn’t know how to tie any dical knots, so when the nurse returned, she found an attractive pink bow on the bandaged arm.
The bandages were pink because the sportswear she had used was pink.
Su Mo even adjusted the shape of the butterfly knot, quite pleased with her work. She looked up at the nurse, packed her things, and stood up, “Give him the dicine. He should wake up in a little while.”
The nurse nodded blankly. After Su Mo left, she specifically went to check the patient’s arm and, to her amazent, not a trace of blood had seeped out; indeed, the alcohol had stopped the bleeding.
