After Ye Chaochao had put the watch on for Ji Yanlin, he lifted his chin towards her, his aning already quite clear.
Ye Chaochao reached out her hand, and Ji Yanlin, holding Ye Chaochao’s watch in his other hand, bent his head down and carefully helped Ye Chaochao put it on.
Ye Chaochao just watched Ji Yanlin’s movents when suddenly a feeling of sha surged from the bottom of her heart. It was clearly just a watch exchange, so why did it give her the feeling of exchanging rings?

Once at the mall, the two andered aimlessly until Ye Chaochao picked out two dresses and then they headed directly to the cinema.
Because it was the weekend, there were a lot of people at the cinema, and when Ji Yanlin and Ye Chaochao tried to buy tickets on the spur of the mont, there weren’t many good seats left. They ended up sitting in a corner of the back row.
Ji Yanlin bought so cola and popcorn, then the two queued to enter the screening room.
The movie was a love story from the Qixi Festival period, and it beca clear that the plot was clichéd and utterly unoriginal as they watched.
Ji Yanlin even found it sowhat annoying—most of the audience for this kind of film were couples, so why did the story have to be blissfully sweet at the beginning only to end up with the couple splitting for various reasons?
Is the purpose of showing this kind of movie to couples to curse them with a breakup?
When the main male and female characters broke up in the movie, the girl sitting in front of Ye Chaochao began to cry softly, and her boyfriend quickly comforted her.
Ye Chaochao and Ji Yanlin both felt awkward.
They persisted until the end of the movie, and upon leaving the screening room, they found that they had eaten the whole bucket of popcorn, and both of their colas were finished; clearly, because the plot was lacking, they had been busy eating the whole ti.
They shared a smile with each other and then decided to visit the restrooms first.
When Ye Chaochao ca out of the restroom, Ji Yanlin was standing at the end of the corridor, seemingly on a phone call.
Only when Ye Chaochao ca closer did she overhear Ji Yanlin saying to the person on the phone, "I’m on a date, I’m not going, you guys have fun."
Ye Chaochao approached Ji Yanlin, not asking who had made the call, because as she got closer, the voice on the phone seed loud, and she recognized it—it was one of Ji Yanlin’s "buddies."
"Not going, we can talk about it so other ti when I’m free, gotta hang up now," Ji Yanlin said, not bothering to listen to whatever wailing and howling was happening at the other end of the call before hanging up.
"Yangzi?" Ye Chaochao asked.
"Yeah, I couldn’t find the restaurant on the map earlier, so I called him to ask," Ji Yanlin explained.
Ye Chaochao looked at Ji Yanlin, "Where is he off to this ti?"
Ji Yanlin replied, "He’s gone to Xishan. He said there’s a new resort there where you can go for off-road mountain running; he suggested I join them."
Ye Chaochao hesitated for a mont before saying, "Then you should go."
