After considering, the elders also believed it made sense and ultimately could only nod in agreent.

"So will you two go straight back ho to stay?" Lin Xu asked.

Before Ye Wanwan could speak up, Shen Yi had already answered first, "Yeah."

Ye Wanwan looked at Shen Yi with so surprise but didn’t say anything more.

Lin Xu nodded again, "Alright then."

However, they didn’t part ways at the hospital but decided to go together to the villa at Bihai Bay, planning to have lunch together at ho.

As they arrived at the hospital entrance, a cold wind swept through, making everyone shiver uncontrollably. These last few days, it hadn’t snowed, but it felt even colder than when it did.

The driver hadn’t arrived yet, so Ye Wanwan and the rest waited at the entrance for a while. Fortunately, the car arrived in just a few minutes.

When the car ca, and everyone was ready to get in, Shen Yi was the last one to move. His actions were slow, as if he deliberately slowed down to let them go first.

But upon close observation, one could notice that Shen Yi’s way of walking was sowhat strange.

After getting into the car, Ye Wanwan held Zhouzhou while replying to ssages on her phone, responding to family and friends who had ssaged her out of concern these past few days to let them know she was alright now.

Shen Yi watched them, mother and son, and when Ye Wanwan wasn’t looking, he placed his hand on his knee.

When they arrived back at Bihai Bay, Ye Wanwan almost felt as if she had been away for ages, like stepping into another world.

The maids in the villa had finished their holidays and returned to work, and at noon, the family had lunch together at ho.

The gloominess of the past few days began to dissipate at this ti.

It wasn’t until after the al was over and a thorough explanation had been given to Ye Wanwan, that they each left.

Once they had all left, the villa suddenly beca quiet. Zhouzhou was sleepy after eating, so Ye Wanwan prepared to carry him upstairs to rest.

"Let do it." Shen Yi took Zhouzhou from Ye Wanwan’s arms.

Without saying much, Ye Wanwan followed Shen Yi upstairs, but this ti she walked behind him, frowning unconsciously as she watched his movents.

Back in the bedroom, Zhouzhou quickly fell asleep lying between his mom and dad, while Ye Wanwan and Shen Yi were still awake.

Ye Wanwan glanced at Shen Yi, her expression sowhat serious. Then she got off the bed, walked around to the other side, and sat down beside him.

"What is it?" Shen Yi asked in a low voice.

Frowning, Ye Wanwan asked, "Your knee is injured, isn’t it?"

She hadn’t noticed before, but when Shen Yi carried Zhouzhou upstairs, she saw it.

Although Shen Yi had been trying his best to hide it, the slightly awkward pause still gave him away.

Ye Wanwan couldn’t help but rember her parents saying that Shen Yi had knelt before the Buddha for over ten hours, until he could no longer endure and fainted in front of the Buddha.

She hadn’t been to that temple, but in her dreams, she had seen Shen Yi visit that temple countless tis in a previous life, often kneeling before the Buddha to pray for her.

But that was nothing compared to kneeling for over ten hours straight!

Ye Wanwan found it hard to imagine how excruciating it must have been for Shen Yi to kneel for over ten hours in such cold weather!
