Ye Wanwan was utterly exhausted. Though Song Ziyi and a few others were still chatting in the WeChat group, she had no intention of joining in; instead, she tossed her phone aside and covered her eyes with her hand.

Lying there for a long ti, Ye Wanwan eventually turned over and sat up from the bed before heading to the bathroom to take a bath.

By the ti she got dressed and ready to go downstairs, it was already past ten o’clock.

The maid had prepared breakfast, but Ye Wanwan had sothing on her mind, so she wasn’t much in the mood to eat. She picked at her food and then told Uncle Zhang to get ready to go out.

Uncle Zhang agreed and went to start the car. Once Ye Wanwan was in the car, Uncle Zhang turned and asked, "Madam, where are we headed today?"

"To the police station," Ye Wanwan said calmly.

Uncle Zhang’s brow furrowed with worry. "Madam, what’s happened? Why are we going to the police station?"

"There’s sothing I need to deal with," Ye Wanwan did not elaborate.

"Okay." Uncle Zhang replied, still quite anxious but refrained from asking further and drove out of the villa.

Ye Wanwan felt extrely nervous in the car, taking deep breaths in an attempt to regulate her emotions as she had never faced anything like this before.

Upon arriving at the police station, as soon as Uncle Zhang parked the car, Ye Wanwan was ready to get out when Uncle Zhang quickly said, "Wait a mont, madam. I’ll accompany you inside."

Ye Wanwan nodded her head, and after Uncle Zhang had parked the car properly, the two of them got out together.

This was the first ti in her two lifetis that Ye Wanwan had entered a police station, and she felt sowhat at a loss. Fortunately, Uncle Zhang was there and assisted her.

An hour later.

Ye Wanwan ca out of the police station and finally let out a heavy sigh of relief.

Inside the police station, she had handed over a previous recording to the police and vaguely told them about her suspicions and what she knew.

Uncle Zhang had accompanied Ye Wanwan throughout the entire process and had a general understanding of the whole situation. When they were back in the car, Uncle Zhang inquired, "Madam, does sir know about this?"

Before leaving the country, sir had specifically instructed to be inford about any significant issues, so Uncle Zhang felt it should be brought to his attention.

Ye Wanwan pursed her lips, feeling a bit guilty. "I’ll talk to him myself."

Having already filed a police report, Shen Yi would definitely need to know, so it was better for her to tell him herself.

Otherwise, once Shen Yi found out later, she’d be the one getting a scolding!

Taking out her phone, Ye Wanwan glanced at it and noticed it was already past noon; calculating the ti difference, it was already past six o’clock in the morning on Shen Yi’s side.

Shen Yi hadn’t yet replied to the ssage she sent him this morning; he likely hadn’t gotten up yet.

Ye Wanwan thought to herself that she would tell him about the situation as soon as he woke up.

After returning ho, Ye Wanwan had just gone upstairs when she received a ssage from Shen Yi. She replied and then received a video call.

Once the video connected, Ye Wanwan saw Shen Yi leaning against the headboard, drinking water. Ye Wanwan said, "I overslept this morning, so I didn’t ssage you."

After finishing his water, Shen Yi put down the glass before speaking. "That’s okay. You don’t have to wake up early just to send videos."

"Aren’t you going to the office to work overti today?" Normally, at this ti, Shen Yi would be preparing to go out.

"I am going, but there’s no need to be so early." Shen Yi was indeed busy, genuinely busy, only having these few hours free on weekends.
