After Ye Zhenlin’s family left, Su Xiangyi asked Ye Zhenhua, "What did you say?"

But she didn’t have any evidence. The night before, she had only recorded a piece of audio, and the voice of the woman in the recording had been altered by a voice changer, making it impossible to discern the original voice.
She only suspected it was Ye Shiying because of the way the voice had said "Wanwan," which reminded her of the intonation Ye Shiying used when speaking to her.

"Wanwan, what are you thinking about?"
Ye Wanwan suddenly snapped back to reality, only then noticing that Song Ziyi sitting opposite her was looking at her with concern.

Song Ziyi furrowed her brows, "What’s wrong? You’ve been frowning the whole ti. Did sothing happen?"
"No, weren’t you talking about Ye Shiying and Qin Yansen’s situation? That’s just what I was thinking about." Ye Wanwan was not exactly lying; she was indeed thinking about it.
Song Ziyi let out a sigh of relief. She had thought that Ye Wanwan had encountered so trouble.
"Well, after all, it’s still their family affair. We’re just outsiders looking on for the excitent," Song Ziyi said.
Ye Wanwan nodded, then continued with her al, as if the matter had passed.
After dinner, the two went to see a newly released movie and only went back to their respective hos after it finished.

However, at a little past one in the morning that sa night, Ye Wanwan was awakened by the vibration of her cellphone.
Perhaps because of the previous night’s incident, Ye Wanwan didn’t pick up the phone in a daze when the vibrations woke her up this ti.
Instead, she beca fully alert, switched on her bedroom light with a stretch of her hand, and bearing the discomfort in her eyes, she took her phone from the nightstand.
Seeing the string of jumbled numbers displayed on her phone, Ye Wanwan already had a hunch.
She took a deep breath, braced herself, then slid her finger across the answer button and simultaneously hit record.
As expected, the next second, the phone transmitted the moans of a man, accompanied by the sounds of whips or belts striking repeatedly.
