Shen Yi leaned in closer and kissed Ye Wanwan on the lips, "So, did you find anything out?"
"Hmph!" Ye Wanwan humd proudly, "Did you find out whether you can still hold now?"
A smile that Shen Yi couldn’t hide spread across his face, clearly taken by surprise.
No wonder today Chen Assistant said he had personal matters and left early; Shen Yi had now realized that the personal matter Chen Assistant ntioned must have been to pick up Ye Wanwan.
After all, Ye Wanwan only knew the general location of his apartnt and didn’t have the keys; it would have been impossible for her to co on her own.
But Chen Assistant not only knew the address, he also had the keys to his apartnt, so asking Chen Assistant for help was the most convenient option.
"Next ti you want to check on , you shouldn’t notify Chen Assistant in advance; maybe he already sneakily tipped off," Shen Yi jokingly said.
Ye Wanwan’s eyes widened as she ca to a realization, "Oh, that’s right."
Shen Yi chuckled softly, and Ye Wanwan laughed along with him. After a while, Shen Yi continued to ask, "Did you take leave?"
"Mhm, I took a week off," Ye Wanwan said, a tiny excitent on her face. All the concerns she had before coming here had been cast aside, leaving only the joy of seeing Shen Yi.
Yet, Ye Wanwan still wore a proud and aloof expression. She did the math, then inford Shen Yi, "I took a week off, which ans my salary next month will be fifteen hundred less."
"I’ll make it up to you. Any amount is fine," Shen Yi said without hesitation.
"So generous, huh?"
Shen Yi indifferently replied, "After all, it’s all yours."
Every cent and every dollar he earned had a share that belonged to Ye Wanwan; it was their joint property as husband and wife.
Having said that, Shen Yi slightly bent down to kiss Ye Wanwan again. Ye Wanwan smiled and dodged, but Shen Yi persisted in his pursuit until he finally caught her.
Ye Wanwan stopped teasing Shen Yi and tilted her head back slightly, letting Shen Yi kiss her.
The couple kissed in the doorway of the bedroom, reluctant to part, until Shen Yi eagerly picked up the dazedly kissed Ye Wanwan and swiftly carried her back to the bedroom.

Ye Wanwan stirred drowsily, feeling pain all over her body and a dry throat. Shen Yi was holding her so tightly that she couldn’t move at all.
She mumbled softly, furrowing her brows, and struggled restlessly for a mont, and felt her body lighten instantly.
"What’s wrong?"
Shen Yi’s tender voice sounded in her ear, and Ye Wanwan was still frowning. It took her a while before she rasped, "I want to drink water."
"Okay," Shen Yi responded imdiately and sat up to get out of bed.
Ye Wanwan just listened to the sounds around her, didn’t even open her eyes, and lay there quietly, seemingly falling back to sleep.
Soon, Shen Yi brought in a cup of warm water, sat down by the bed, helped Ye Wanwan sit up, and let her lean against him, considerately holding the cup to her lips.
Ye Wanwan drank the water and felt much better; she then slowly opened her eyes.
The bedroom was lit with a warm yellow light, but it still seed a bit glaring to her. She squinted, still in a daze, and asked Shen Yi, "What ti is it now?"
Ye Wanwan was very tired, but she felt as though she had slept for a very long ti.
"Not even five o’clock yet," Shen Yi replied as he settled Ye Wanwan back into bed and laid down beside her.
