The eting room was silent, almost as if there was no one inside. But even if they wanted to even make a small sound, they don’t have the guts to do so.
Lexus finally decided on what to give his woman. Although he was reluctant at first and felt that sothing like giving flowers was just a waste of ti, he was very sure that he will get a good beating from that person if he won’t do it.
With this, he pointed on the picture and Assistant Yu nodded in recognition. Lexus then waved his hand, making Assistant Yu walk back to his seat and sat.
Lexus turned his attention back onto the report and coldly said "Continue," acting as if nothing happened just a while ago.
No one really knows what their CEO was thinking. He is the most unpredictable and cunning person they knew. They knew all too well not to underestimate this devilish man for they experienced his ruthlessness first hand. Just thinking about it would imdiately make these veteran directors broke in cold sweat and unable to sleep for days. That’s how traumatic their experience were when they underestimated this great ancestor.
The director that almost passed out due to his nerves acting up imdiately let out his breath as relief washed over him. Guess he will not be fired for now. Getting the signal from his boss, with renewed energy, he gladly continued his report with a big smile plastered on his face.
Lexus looked at his director with raised brow. He never knew that this director will be so happy to report sothing in front of him. This was a first.
One could say that good will co to those who had suffered. The director didn’t know that sothing "good" will co his way after this.
October, on the other hand, didn’t know that soone was already shalessly claiming possession of her.
Lexus propped his hands on the table of his office with an intense gaze. The room was so dark, gloomy, and dangerous as if a storm was happening in his office.
Assistant Yu adjusted the collar of his shirt. He knew that the heater’s on but he still felt cold. ’What’s he thinking about now?’
Assistant Yu was curiously looking at his young master at the docunts in front of him, almost burning a hole through the papers. He wanted to look at the docunts on the table but he stopped himself from taking a peek, least he would receive his young master’s piercing dark gaze.
Just as he decided to stop looking at his young master, he felt a burning gaze directed toward him. His breathing hitched and body shuddered. He slowly turned to look at his boss and was praying so hard that it was just his imagination but he forgot that prayers won’t work on this man before him.
"Yo-young master...?" Assistant Yu hesitated as his boss just looked at him with a dark look and was not saying a single word.
"Say, Xi." Lexus grumbled as his cold but soft voice reverberated around the eerily silent room, making his assistant gulped loudly as he braced himself for the next words of his young master. "Why didn’t I receive any reaction from that woman? It’s almost 3 weeks since I started giving her flowers but all I get was nothing! Nothing!" Lexus slamd his hands in anger and frustration. What was with that woman that she was so indifferent with these things. If he knew that this idea wouldn’t work, he would have directly went to her.
Lexus then rembered the day when he suddenly hang up the phone with his mother and imdiately his face darkened. He got an earful from his mother.
Saturday morning, the day where Lexus and October last saw each other...
Lexus answered his phone that was ringing for almost an hour. He really regretted calling his mother in the first place.
"You darn brat!" Song Wei, Lexus’ father, roared loudly on the phone as Lexus nonchalantly tilted his head away from his phone. "How dare you hung up on your mother? Do you want to die?!" Right after he said that, he received a hard slap on his shoulder from his wife, Jane Hemsworth, an international supermodel from the US.
The striking dark blue eyes of Lexus was inherited undeniably from his mother, Jane.
"Ouch! Darling!"Song Wei said, feeling wronged. "I was just angry. I’m sorry, okay? I know I’m wrong."
"Still, how can you say that to my son? Do you want a good beating?!" Jane threateningly warned as she glared at his husband. She exudes a very strong and dominating presence.
Lexus’ nerve popped in his head. His eyes darkened and his lips pursed. He was so annoyed at his parents’ antics. This is the reason why he was reluctant to contact them.
"Give the phone." Jane snatched the phone from her husband. "Speak." Jane coolly said while pushing her husband away from her.
"I t a girl." Lexus said indifferently.
"So?" Jane said, sounding very unconcerned.
"I’ll take her as my wife." He declared with great confidence making Assistant Yu who heard him almost choke from his own saliva. He then looked at his boss weirdly, thinking to himself of how his boss beca insane.
After a long silence on the other line, she replied, "Oh? Who is it?"
"I can’t tell you now." He said while running a hand through his disheveled hair.
After a few seconds of silence, he heard her mother shout on the other end, "Wei! Your stupid son wants to snatch a lady in broad daylight to force her to marry him! Talk to him, will ya?!"
Lexus’ mouth twitched. How did his mother even end up with that kind of conclusion? And how was he stupid?
"What?!" A male voice sounded and then so shuffling can be heard on the background.
"You stupid son! When is the wedding?!" His father guffawed loudly which earned him a smack on the head from his wife.
"Darling, that hurt." he complained then returned his attention back to his son, Lexus, whose veins were popping on his head here and there and who was now on the verge of snapping and end the call. He shouldn’t have told his parents.
One wouldn’t have imagined that the cold and dangerous CEO nad Lexus have parents that are like this, the mother is cold with a booming loud voice and fiery nature while the father is two-faced: a devil to others but soft with his wife.
"So, stupid son, I guess you’re not that stupid after all." Song Wei laughed again. "It’s good to know that you’re just like . If you got interested into soone, don’t hesitate to make her yours. Imdiately make claim of her, that way she won’t be able to run away from you and no other guys will be able to snatch her away. Just like how I did it with your mother. I’m just that capable." After saying that, Song Wei imdiately felt a burning pain from his side as he hissed at the pinch of his stunning wife.
Listening to his father made Lexus’ brows twitch.
"You stupid son! If you ever do as your father said, then you really are stupid. First, you have to be nice to her. You hear ? Give her flowers, chocolates, and the like. Every girl deserves such treatnt. Understand?" Jane coldly said at his son who she knows as soone who acts cold and indifferent just like her and cunning just like his father. Although she doesn’t show it much, she does love and care for her youngest son.
That’s right. Because of how Lexus having the temperant and attitude of both parents, he turned into soone who he was today, worse than his parents: a handso devil with a very dark smile and piercing gaze; a devil incarnate.
Lexus furrowed his brows at the words of his mother. He wants to imdiately bind that woman to his side just as his father said but he doesn’t want to be called stupid. Although he felt that it’s a waste of ti, he’ll do as what his mother told him to do and that’s what happened.
Lexus clenched his fists tightly until his knuckles turned white as he rembered his mother’s words. He waited for 3 weeks but that darn woman still hasn’t shown any reaction.
"Young master?" Assistant Yu called with shaky voice as he already can’t take the glare of death on him from Lexus.
"Tell , does that woman even rember ? Her husband?" Lexus said through gritted teeth.
’Master, how can you be so shaless?! Miss Park doesn’t even know you for long and you are not even her boyfriend but you already claid yourself as her husband? Really shaless ah!’ Assistant Yu wanted to shout at his master when he heard him say that but had to swallow his words back down almost choking him again.
"I-I’m pretty sure she rembers you, young master." Assistant Yu said while putting on his professional smile.
Lexus fell silent but still have a deep frown on his face. He was very displeased at how dense his wife was. He stood up from his chair and walked toward the window and squinted his dark eyes. He just stood there for awhile while his hands were in the pockets of his black dress pants.
"I guess I’ll have to visit my woman myself." Lexus muttered as he let out a hair-rising chuckle.
anwhile, October suddenly shivered in her office. She knew that her heater was on and was skeptical as to why she shivered. Maybe it was just nothing? With that in mind, she just shrugged it off and forget about it for she has a very troubling situation she has to face now.
