October felt like her brain malfunctioned. Her whole body broke out in cold sweat as her complexion turned as white as sheet.
"Oh dear . I might have gone too far with my joke." Mother Song said while covering her lips, acting innocent but her eyes gave it all away as it was sparkling a mischievous light. She then waved her other hand in front of the "stone statue" of October and called out to try and return her daughter-in-law back to earth. "She can’t seem to hear at all. Hello?"
’Madam, your jokes were truly awful. Look what you have done to our innocent and usually calm young madam ah!’ All of the people scread in protest at their madam in their minds. They could not help but feel pity on their young madam. Just that, unexpectedly, their young madam was truly innocent in this area that they sohow find it cute and funny.
Mother Song sighed as she reached out her hand to get her cup of tea to sip from it. Instantly, a refreshing taste of the jasmine tea filled her mouth. It seed like her daughter-in-law was too innocent and inexperienced and so teased her a little bit. Also, she had fun too and quite pleased at the cute reaction of October in response to that. With this, she giggled.
"Mo-mother...that is...well..." October could not find words on how to get out of this awkward situation. Her eyes showed her uneasiness and alarm. What was she supposed to say?
October was beyond herself. If she would deny that, her embarrassnt will not be covered so words were absolutely futile and she just could not save her face anymore. Just where was that man? Where was Lexus? Why was he not here yet? That stupid Lexus! And he even claid so loudly that he was her husband!
"No need to explain now, my daughter-in-law. I truly know how it ca about all too well. However, I have sothing I am more curious about." Mother Song said with a flash of light from her charming sapphire eyes. She light lifted the corner of her lip and held the cup of tea near her nose to sll it’s calming fragrance.
Despite being already a mother of a 27-year-old man, she was rather looking young and stunning, not at all to be underestinated as soone who was a forr international supermodel. She was still alluring enough to daze everyone who sees her, including October.
"Yes." October curtly agreed and nodded her head. Because of the awkwardness before, her tea was left untouched and had already beca lukewarm. Despite his, she still took a sip from it due her throat becoming dry.
What could have actually caught her mother-in-laws curiosity? October wondered and pursed her lips.
"So how exactly did you two et?" Mother Song asked quite enthusiastically with her eyes sparkling in gossip, making the tone of her voice turn a little higher than usual.
October choked on her tea as soon as she heard her mother-in-law’s question. She coughed and coughed making her pretty face turn red and her eyes to water.
All eyes turned to her. Yes, this was exactly what they wanted to know. How exactly is this two unlikely people et and fell for each other.
"My son already told before like about a month ago that he had taken a liking to soone and had even declared that he wantee to marry her. Of course, my first reaction was to be utterly surprised and thought about my stupid son’s unique personality." Mother Song started as she looked at her tea.
"For him to say that, I was really thrown out of proportion at that ti. I did not believe it. He was a cold and unfeeling man with no interest with won and whatsoever that my husband and I had thought about him being a man of different interests. I thought he found soone interesting enough and those words were just on the spurr of the mont; but he showed us that he was not kidding. Who would have thought that he had really just do that and here you are now, sitting in front of ."
"So how did you two really et?" Mother Song asked again with a soft smile on her srizing face.
In all honesty, she was not clear about it at all. All she know was that after she got drunk, her mind were jumbled and her vision were not clear. When she ca about the next morning, she was already in a room with a man so handso who was a stranger to her.
After a mont of silence, October opened her mouth to say, "I don’t really have much recollection on what happened that night after I got myself drunk. The next thing I knew was that I was already in a bed and t him...Lexus." October pursed her lips as she could not say to her now mother-in-law that Lexus and her argued at first but then turned hot wih each other. Then, after that, she left out of embarrassnt.
"After that first morning, I infer that he checked on and that ca about the start of him sending flowers...for weeks."
"Oh?" Mother Song raised an eyebrow with a dazzling smile. "Well, I did say that to him about flowers and all. I did now expect for him to really do that and he even did that for weeks."
"...Yes." October softly said with a tinge of pinkish hue dyed her cheeks. She lowered her eyes as she took a small sip from her cup of tea.
"There’s no need to be shy. If you do not know, we can always ask that son of mine about it. However, why did you now ask him that yourself?"
"I just don’t feel like there was any need for to ask about it." Also, it was quite embarrassing.
"Considering that my son who don’t give won a second glance had actually took an interest in you at that mont was reallt sothing. So, does that an that my son had actually fallen in love with you at first glance?" Mother Song exclaid with a gasp and her eyes danced with glitters.
"No, I do--" October imdiately shook her head in denial but was imdiately cut off by soone’s voice that gave a shiver down her spine, making her cup of tea on her hand to shake.
Instantly, she can feel a cold presence towering over her. Sohow, she felt uneasy and conscious at the presence she was already familiar with.
"Yes, I took quite an interest of her so you are not wrong with that, mother." Lexus confidently said in his usually cold, deep, and wicked voice. "It was really sothing I never expected to happen and had never believed to even happen but...I fell in love with her at first sight."
