The pilot announced their arrival at the airport of Marica City and they got ready for their new adventures in this city.
The CEO of The Urbans had sent over two cars with his chauffeurs for the pickup service.
Once their luggage had been settled inside they took their seats.
Lawrence and Skyla seated themselves in one car while Zyair sat in the other one. They had decided to head straight over to The Urbans, sign the deal with them and then proceed to their designated hotel.
Lawrence and Skyla discussed the terms of the deal in detail and also observed the city through their car windows.
The spring was in the air, the gale blew carrying with it the scents of this beautifully coloured season.
Marica was an amalgamation of skyscrapers, modern architecture and flowery boulevards. Nature and modernity went hand in hand in this city.
Soon they arrived at an egg-shaped skyscraper with silverish-blue glass covering the entirety of it. "The Urbans" was embossed on it in Silver colour, giving it an urban modernistic touch.
"Wow, their building is a marvel." Skyla couldn’t help but gasp at its refined architecture.
"Aye!" Lawrence announced, jumping out of the car in his unique style.
The chauffeur held the door open for Skyla, she exited it and politely thanked him for his services.
Zyair had left his car as well and she saw he had put on his black coat, seeming dapper as he held the rim of his coat and straightened it. The finesse exuded off him and made people turn to take a second look. The elegance surrounding him always whispered for he carried himself like a superstar.
"Ready?" he tacitly asked Lawrence and Skyla. They nodded and followed him as they entered the building.
A man in his early thirties with dirty blonde hair and a white suit jacket was waiting for them. The expensive watch on his wrist and the haughty expression on his face revealed he was a rich brat.
Seeing them he spread his hands and raucously announced.
"Welco to The Urbans. The best company on this planet. I am Preston Hugh."
The man was the younger brother of the CEO Patrik Hugh and was known for his playboy nature. Unlike his older brother who was more oriented towards company matters, Preston preferred partying with his friends and girls he randomly picked up.
Zyair offered him a curt nod before speaking in a monotone, not revealing much.
"Thank you for having us. Lead the way."
Preston’s eyes flickered to Skyla, she was a few feet behind Zyair. He couldn’t help but lewdly glaze his tongue over his lower lip.
’What a snack?’ he thought to himself as the lust erged deep into his dark brown eyes.
This uneasiness crept into Skyla’s pit seeing him stare so oddly and this was not missed by Zyair. Anger spawned inside him like a deadly serpent, seeing Preston’s hungry gaze.
He tactfully shifted and wedged himself in front of Preston’s line of sight. He could no longer stare at her.
"Lead the way Mr. Preston, we are in a hurry," the soothing voice Zyair always used had this grating granite edge to it. It sent a shiver scurrying down Skyla’s spine.
"Of course, of course. Where are my manners? This way. We are headed to the top floor." He guided them forward towards the elevators.
"Lawrence, please take Miss Skyla along," Zyair pointed to the second elevator and Lawrence did as he was told.
Exciting the elevators, Preston took them forward towards his brother’s office.
The mahogany door of his office had a gold-plated naplate with Patrik Hugh engraved on it in black ink.
They walked past it towards the conference hall and entered the grand space. Luxury and class intertwined and brought forth this elegant-looking eting hall.
"Woah, this place is sick!" Lawrence was wide-eyed seeing its marvellous setting.
Patrik Hugh was already seated on the large circular glass table. Seeing them he stood up and shook hands with everyone with a bright smile on his face. Unlike his brother, Patrik had this air of sophistication about him, sothing about him demanded respect.
Zyair shook his gloved hand with the man when he had not done it with his brother. What made him initiate physical contact with a few n and ignore the others was sothing Skyla was still trying to figure out.
"Welco to my humble company. Please, make yourself comfortable." He offered with a gracious smile and everyone settled down. Lawrence settled with Zyair while Skyla sat alongside Lawrence.
"Thank you for having us. This is my intern, Lawrence and that’s my secretary Mrs. Blackthorn," Zyair tactfully introduced her as such so whatever funny ideas were brimming in Preston’s mind would evaporate.
"Should I order tea, coffee, or drinks?" he asked, throwing a glance at his younger brother, telling him to be ready.
"Nothing, we are full," Zyair responded. The doughnuts they had been eating had brimd them and he wanted to get this done as quickly as possible.
Preston had sat down right opposite Skyla and his eyes were constantly on her, making her uneasy in her sitting position. Zyair’s piercing gaze pierced Preston as he said.
"Let’s keep our eyes to where they belong." Preston was slightly taken aback at how direct Zyair was in his approach.
Patrik on the other hand enjoyed that soone had called out his brother. Most people tried to ignore his salacious looks, so he threw a look of dissatisfaction at his brother, who quickly adjusted his gaze. No more looking at Skyla.
"Let’s begin. I get, you read my proposal. I have gone through yours in detail and find it appealing. So of the terms are negotiable but there is nothing we can’t work with," Patrik replied, opening the folder lying in front of him and thus began their negotiations.
The deal was to provide them with fine-quality cloth as Kincaid International made so of the finest ones. The talks continued as everyone provided their input and finally, the terms were settled which benefitted both companies.
Skyla anded the terms of the agreent as Patrik and Zyair negotiated and changed a few of them. A final draft was drawn by her and she emailed it to Patrik’s secretary. It was printed out and arranged in a file before she passed it on to her boss.
A deal of one year was signed between both companies. The Urbans will help them set up their branch in Marica while Kincaid will provide them with the finest material to be used for their own products.
The contract was signed and hands were shaken. Everything panned out smoothly and in the end, Patrik invited them for dinner once they had been freshened up.
Zyair accepted the invitation and took leave so they could head over to the hotel and get so rest.
