Chapter 377: 377: Jiang Zhi acknowledging her ancestors and returning to the family clan? Changing her na? (First update)

Jiang Mansion.

Xu Jiuru had been bedridden with an illness for quite so ti now.

“Have they recovered the body?”

Jiang Chuan just returned from outside: “Not yet, Fourth Young Master Qiao and the people from the Lu Family are still at the dock.”

Xu Jiuru leaned back against the pillow, her complexion wan: “What about Brother Zhi?”

“The young master is at the police station.”

She frowned: “Why has he gone to the police station?” She wondered if he had realized sothing.

Jiang Chuan said, “He got into a fight with Mr. Lu at Changkang Hospital. Mr. Lu was seriously injured, and the major case squad took the young master away.”

Xu Jiuru’s brows relaxed slightly, her heart sowhat eased: “Have they looked into Lu Xinglan’s injuries?”

“They have. It’s a gunshot wound.”

It seed that last night, Jiang Zhi had truly fired a gun.

Xu Jiuru rose from her couch: “Ah Gui, help up.” She just sat up when she began coughing nonstop.

Ah Gui ca in from outside, took the clothes from the screen, and went to the bedside to assist her: “Coughing so severely, why don’t you lie down and rest.”

Xu Jiuru’s pallid face brightened slightly with determination: “With Brother Zhi at the police station, I have to go see him.”

Changkang Hospital was within the jurisdiction of Xin Hai District. Jiang Zhi was detained in a substation there, and the case was under the responsibility of the major case squad.

Xu Jiuru t with Captain Wang Lixian from the major case squad.

He only had one thing to say: “Bail is not possible.”

Xu Jiuru asked why.

“Old Lady Jiang, the Lu Family has filed a lawsuit for intentional harm against Jiang Zhi.”

“Fighting is a fault on both sides, and my Brother Zhi was also injured. If we are detaining,” Xu Jiuru inquired, “shouldn’t both parties be detained?”

Such an aura, truly suffocating.

It’s already the 21st century, but this old lady still feels like the commanding Empress Dowager from the TV dramas, her every movent graceful and dignified, yet incredibly imposing.

Captain Wang Lixian took a deep breath: “The hospital fight is not the only issue. At Dock 3, your esteed young master did fire a gun. The Lu Family is already undergoing a dical examination.”

She replied calmly, “I’ve heard that Captain Wang was also present at the ti.”

Captain Wang Lixian struggled to keep steady, unruffled: “I was present, but it was dark at the ti and hard to see clearly.”

A smart move, not pointing fingers at anyone, offending neither side.

Unable to secure bail, Xu Jiuru only got to see Jiang Zhi once.

“Brother Zhi,” she approached and looked him over carefully, “How are you? Can your body still endure?”

Jiang Zhi’s face still showed bruises from Lu Xinglan’s fists.

“I’m fine.” He looked utterly defeated, “Grandma, please figure out a way to get out. Zhou Xufang hasn’t been found yet; I have to find her.”

Xu Jiuru, with a heavy expression: “Stop looking. The body has likely been washed away by the current.”

His face imdiately changed, his eyes turning fierce: “Not a body, she must still be alive.”

“Brother Zhi—”

He wouldn’t listen to reason: “Last night, Lu Xinglan brought a gun to the dock and used it to negotiate with the Lu Family, making them drop the charges.”

Xu Jiuru sighed softly: “Alright, grandmother will do as you wish.” Tears welled in her eyes, heart aching with concern, “Just wait a little longer, I’ll get you out soon.”

Deep affection between grandmother and grandson; such convincing actors.

After Xu Jiuru left, Captain Wang Lixian ca to say: “You predicted everything correctly, your grandmother has gone to see Congtou.”

Next, Lu Jingsong.

Dock 3.

Lu Jingsong continued the search for the ‘body.’ Upon receiving the news, he went on the boat to call Lin Qiunan: “Xu Jiuru has found the nurse who bandaged Xinglan last night and inquired about the gun.”

Lin Qiunan had already returned to the Lu Family’s ho, in Lu Jingyuan’s art studio: “Give her whatever answer she wants.”

Lu Jingsong, a straightforward man, questioned the evasion: “Going in and coming out again, taking such a huge detour, what is Jiang Zhi up to?”

“Xu Jiuru is suspicious. Without this detour, she won’t let down her guard,” Lin Qiunan’s gaze rested on a painting.

“That kid Jiang Zhi, quite scheming, eh?” Lu Jingsong doubted, “Is he really one of the Lu Family?”

Lin Qiunan, matter-of-factly: “Did you think your son is not scheming?”

Lu Jingsong: “…” She’s defending him already?

Lin Qiunan approached the easel.

First Sun.

This was her first ti seeing this painting; she had never entered this art studio before, not just because it grieved her to be reminded of the past, but also because of resentnt. After losing her child, she had resented the woman in the painting.

It was ti to have co here to look.

She reached out, caressing the painting: “How about Xingchen?”

Lu Jingsong was confused: “Huh?”

“One Xinglan, one Xingchen, I think these nas are quite good.”

“…”

Claiming ancestry hadn’t even been confird yet, and she was already thinking about changing nas.

Lu Jingsong felt he needed to remind her: “Mom, the DNA test results haven’t co back yet.”

The old lady seed not to hear: “How about Xingguang?”

Lu Xingguang?

Lu Jingsong honestly: “Not doing well.”

Lin Qiunan pondered for a mont: “Xingxing also works, Lu Xingxing.”

“…”

Have you asked Jiang Xingxing about naming him Lu Xingxing?

At two in the afternoon, Lu Xinglan went to the police station to withdraw the lawsuit, testifying that during their scuffle, they knocked into Wang Lixian’s gun. Jiang Zhi picked up the gun in self-defense and had no intention of harming anyone.

Less than an hour after the withdrawal, Jiang Zhi was released.

Xu Jiuru was waiting for him in the car: “You need to treat the wound on your face. Let’s go to the hospital first.”

He got into the car: “Go to Dock No. 3.”

“There’s Nanchu at the dock, your health is more important, first—”

He directly opened the car door, got out, and opened the driver’s door: “Get out.”

Jiang Chuan glanced back, got the nod from Xu Jiuru, and then vacated the seat. Jiang Zhi sat in the driver’s seat and imdiately sped toward the dock.

Xinhai’s Dock No. 3 was already sealed off, with people everywhere on shore and in the water—Jiang Zhi’s people, Lu Family’s people, and the police.

Jiang Zhi got out of the car.

Xu Jiuru sat in the back seat and ordered, “Jiang Chuan, you go down too. Keep an eye on Brother Zhi, don’t let him do anything foolish.”

Jiang Chuan imdiately followed.

Jiang Zhi boarded the boat: “Have you found her?”

Qiao Nanchu shook his head: “Only found a piece of clothing.”

It was Zhou Xufang’s coat.

Jiang Zhi glanced at it once and walked towards the sea.

Qiao Nanchu grabbed him: “Where are you going?”

His eyes were dark and brooding, like clouds before a storm: “I’m going down to find her.”

“Can you swim?”

His gaze cold as ice: “Step aside.”

Qiao Nanchu shouted, “Are you insane!”

Jiang Zhi shook off his hand.

Qiao Nanchu cursed and turned to call out, “Isn’t anyone coming to hold him back!”

Jiang Chuan stepped forward upon hearing the call.

“Young Master—”

“Get out of my way!”

Jiang Zhi pushed him forcefully, and by the reaction force, staggered backward, hitting the tal railing of the cruise ship: “Cough, cough, cough, cough, cough…”

As he coughed, a mouthful of blood ca out.

“Young Master!”

Qiao Nanchu was stunned.

What kind of dicine had this guy taken?

When Jiang Zhi regained consciousness, it was already evening, and Xu Jiuru was by his bedside.

“Brother Zhi.” Xu Jiuru imdiately commanded the Jiang Chuan at the door, “Hurry and call the doctor over.”

He opened his eyes and looked at the incandescent lamp above for a while, his eyes lifeless: “Grandma,” he said, “help .”

“Help you with what?”

He turned his head, his eyes burning fiercely: “The Lu Family killed Zhou Xufang.”

Xu Jiuru didn’t hesitate: “Okay, Grandmother will help you.”

The snake had entered its lair; the smoke of gunpowder was about to rise.

Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap…

The motion-sensor lights in the stairwell ca on, footsteps approached closer, shadows on the floor stretched long, and the man’s polished shoes shone as he walked up the stairs, softly calling, “Fuxi.”

Her delicate fingers pressed to his lips: “Shh.”

He fell silent, following her to the rooftop. Clad in a white lab coat, it was Qin Shiyu.

“What’s wrong?” There were no lights on the rooftop, and Jiang Fuxi stood leaning against the door, the faint moonlight falling upon her fair face—beautiful like a serene painting.

Qin Shiyu spoke gently, cautious before her, “Vice President Sun is doing a paternity test for Jiang Zhi.”

Jiang Fuxi chuckled lightly: “The old fox’s tail can’t stay hidden anymore.” She couldn’t wait to see what outco the old lady would face.

“If Jiang Zhi finds out about his origins, will he still take revenge on the Lu Family?”

She gazed into the distance, her profile tranquil, answering indirectly: “If he finds out it was that old lady’s doing, he is bound to turn the Jiang Family upside down.”

Qin Shiyu half understood but seed perplexed nonetheless.

She suddenly inquired, “Is Jiang Zhi truly sick?”

He answered, “Yes, he really vomited blood.”

“It seems Zhou Xufang is truly gone.”

Jiang Fuxi smiled lightly, dialing a phone number.

Quickly connecting, a man’s voice ca through: “Third Miss, my thanks. You got involved in a lucrative business deal.” Without her pulling strings and strategizing, this wouldn’t have been so easy to accomplish.

A billion-yuan deal, of course, was good business.

“I have another deal. I wonder if Mr. Ah Win might be interested?”

Ah Win was eager: “As long as the price is right, we can talk.”

She spoke in soft tones, detailing cunning sches.

That night, the moon hung like a hook.

Outside the sickroom, Vice President Sun knocked three tis on the door: “Mr. Jiang.”
