277: Chapter 233: Queen, but Poster Girl_2 277: Chapter 233: Queen, but Poster Girl_2 Compared to taking on the Great Knights in the distance head-on, Lind moved faster than expected in seizing the geographical advantage and eliminating the Archers at the top of Mountain Demon Castle.

“Peel, lead the Rune ssengers through the trail for a surprise attack.

Focus on stealth, don’t engage in prolonged battles!”

“Yes, sir!” Peel nodded in obedience, then led the small number of scouts into the darkness.

“Pim, I need you to lead the Great Knights from the left flank,” he gestured on the table.

The scouts had already mapped out the interior structure of the Mountain Demon Castle, and the process of conquering the walls was also a mapping procedure.

“You will bear the brunt of the attack.

Find n who aren’t afraid to die.”

“Every one of us is not afraid to die!” Pim grunted.

“I know, but I need you to hold off the Great Knights’ attack and draw them to this area, the gourd-shaped alley,” Lind continued.

Lind’s fingers drumd on the table.

“Then, the Archers shoot from this position.

There’s no cover here.

Whether we can close the gap in numbers between us and the enemy depends on how many we can kill from this spot.”

“The Archers won’t need a commander.

Rember to use those powerful arrows!

As for the right wing attack, I will lead the charge!”

Lind’s commands were decisive and brooked no objection.

No one dared to question Lind’s orders, everyone could hear the rage burning in his chest.

“You hear , now move!” Lind shouted angrily, “I want to chop off that bastard’s head!”

The scouting team ford by the Rune ssengers had a great advantage in stealth; they moved swiftly through the dark shadows of the Mountain Demon Castle, sparingly leaving even a hint of their footsteps, only occasionally stirring up dust to signal their presence.

Archers, holding onto the robust legs of the Volcano Monster Bird, easily climbed onto the roof and concealed themselves in the planned positions.

Lind, mounting the Catastrophe Warhorse, led the attack towards the right flank across an open field, where there was enough distance for the warhorse to run at full tilt, followed by five skillful cavalryn who, like bloodthirsty lions, stared ahead, waiting to pounce fiercely on their prey.

The team of Lord Baya moved slowly, and after covering so distance, he sensed sothing was amiss — the soldiers of Mountain Demon Castle had lost contact!

Such a significant event had occurred with no reaction, implying they might have lost their reinforcents.

It seems Lind and his group had done more than just let those Calamity monsters sneak attack; unfortunately, the realization ca too late.

The normally bustling alleyways had suddenly beco dark and oppressive, the sunlight unable to reach these long narrow paths, resembling the twisted, winding esophagus of a gigantic monster, waiting for them to co closer, with even an illusory stench wafting past so noses.

Sothing was approaching.

A sharp long blade pierced through the neck of the front line Great Knight in the marketplace, then swiftly retracted.

Blood gushed from the pierced neck wound, and the Great Knight’s voice was swallowed by blood, unable to make a sound.

Despite his large figure and the sufficiently dark environnt, nobody noticed soone squatting half-bent, using their body to support the marketplace Great Knight to prevent him from collapsing suddenly.

An attack by the Rune ssenger would reveal their presence.

However, as long as they were not exposed, after a brief rest and regrouping, the Rune ssenger’s figure would disappear once again.

“What’s wrong?” a nearby Great Knight noticed his companion’s unusual state and just lifted his hand to pat him.

Only to hear a “thud,” the Great Knight fell to the ground.

Dead!

Who did it, and when?

A ghost or a demon?

Since Lind’s group could control Calamities, controlling a demon shouldn’t be too difficult.

Soone imdiately approached and turned the body over, discovering the wound at the throat.

“Soone can conceal themselves, be careful everyone!”

“Damn!”

“Hell!”

The chaotic cursing flared up once again.

“Do we continue to move forward?”

“Advance!” Lord Baya spoke up, standing at the rear of the group, “They only have these little tricks.

If they truly had the capability to harm us, they would have co out already!

This is Mountain Demon Castle, our own territory.

Are we going to let them scare us into running away?”

There was more unsaid; where else could they run to?

The impregnable Mountain Demon Castle was already breached.

Advancing wasn’t a choice, but a necessity.

“But sir, we can’t see the enemies!

So far, we haven’t seen a single one!” Not everyone was willing to risk their lives for Lord Baya.

The marketplace knights, true to their title, could co chaotically taking advantage of a favorable situation, shouting along when in the lead, but at any sign of danger, they would scatter at the first opportunity.

“Advance!” Lord Baya shouted, “For Her Majesty Lania, Royal Guards!”

rely being bound by interests so simple and breakable, he was forced to look toward the nurically smaller group of cavalryn.

But the cavalryn were reluctant to act, as Her Majesty the Queen wasn’t there; she was “protected” elsewhere.

“I said, advance—!” His commands falling on deaf ears made him lose his patience.

The Queen was in his clutches, and the cavalryn deduced his insinuation, their faces turning grim, which evidently was different from what they had envisioned; but loyal as they were, the cavalryn had no choice.
