The next day, there was torrential rain that suddenly poured down the earth, wetting the ground and everything that it touches.
The pitter-pattering of rain against the tiled roof gave off a relaxing feeling to anyone who hears it but at this mont, the people inside the Emperor's study were having a hard ti enjoying it as they had their heads lowered and knees touching the cold ground.
Just like the rain, the eyes of the emperor were filled with complicated emotions as a storm was brewing in his heart.
Glaring at the servant who shivered under his gaze, Emperor Yun asked him, "Are the rumors true?"
His voice was hoarse and deliberately slow as if he was trying to contain his rage from within.
The servant who heard his question trembled and plopped on the floor.
"Your majesty! Please don't listen to the rumors! There's no way that it was true!" The servant who was now fully kneeling on the floor said, "The empress will never do such filthy things! There must be soone who wanted to spill dirty water to the empress and destroy the imperial couple's harmonious relationship."
However, Emperor Yun wasn't willing to listen to a re servant until he could get the bottom of it.
Early this morning, Emperor Yun woke up from his sleep when a servant that was serving under him rushed to his side to tell him about a rumor that started inside the palace and spreading the entirety of it.
Initially, the emperor wanted to ignore it. A rumor that started in the palace is normal and there should be soone in his employ that will quell that rumor from escaping the palace gates.
Unfortunately, he was wrong. The rumors said that the Empress has committed a sin that could cost the crown on her head and it was spreading like fire and now, it even reached the borders of the empire.
"I see. It seems that your master is not , the emperor but the empress seeing that you are not willing to tell the truth!" Emperor Yun slapped the desk in front of him with his large hands.
The servants inside the study shrunk their necks in fear of being included in the punishnt that the emperor was about to order his n.
"Please, your majesty!" The servant pleaded once again but Emperor Yun turned deaf as he stood up from his chair and left the study while the servant who was serving the empress was dragged by her hair by a guard.
The servant's tears were all in her face. Her eyes were bloodshot and her hands clawed on the hand that was grabbing her hair to get away but to no avail.
She couldn't believe what was happening. Just this morning, the rumors that the empress was having an affair with a young man ca out from the mouths of everyone in the palace.
She wanted to say that it was not true but how could she say it in front of the emperor who murderously glared at her. Besides, the rumors weren't far off from the truth but she can't say it out loud.
The empress who was said to be rciful and was filled with motherly love for the empire was in truth a treacherous woman that was filled with greed and committed sins after sins of felony and adultery.
However, how did the truth that the empress hid from everyone else with the cost of many lives and golds suddenly got out from its containnt?
Emperor Yun walked fast but with heavy steps. The Jade Palace where the empress was living was just across his study. It was the courtyard that he had bestowed on her when she married him and he even filled it with rare things to show his love for her.
The Emperor and Empress married out of love for each other. The emperor did everything to get the empress to marry him and to give her the crown on her head.
But unfortunately, if the rumors were true… This would only an that the empress made a fool out of him and used her position as empress to gather so toys to play with behind his back.
'Bang!'
Kicking the door, the emperor stepped inside the Jade Palace and made his guards behind him to restrain every maids and servant who dared to stop him to co inside.
Emperor Yun walked with great determination. He wanted to know the truth and end this nightmare.
However, when he stepped inside the sleeping quarters of the empress, the nasty sll that he was familiar with was in the air that even the eunuchs who ca with him couldn't help but blush and suffocate from the sll.
Gritting his teeth, Emperor Yun forced his legs to walk towards the bed. He clenched his fists and widened his eyes at the sight of the two figures sleeping on the bed.
One could clearly see that aside from the Empress who was sleeping on her side with only a thin robe to cover her body, a young man had his eyes closed and was on his back.
There was no need to know what happened and why there was a man in the bed with the empress. The red marks that were on the body of the empress and the marks on the young man's body were enough to slap the emperor's face!
"You slut!" The emperor roared on top of his throat as he dives into the bed to grab the empress by her hair.
The empress didn't have any idea what happened as she was sleeping but when she heard the roar, she was forced to wake up and when she looked up, it was already too late for her to evade as she felt soone's hand pulled her hair.
Screaming in pain, the empress was supposed to scold the person but who knew that the person who grabbed her was the emperor!
"Ah! Your majesty, what are you doing? Let go of ! It hurts!" The empress tried to get away but the emperor was resolved to beat the filthy empress who dared to put a green hat on top of his head.
