Chapter 141: Chapter 141: CONFESSION 3

So, when she apologized, for a mont, Lena’s mind went blank and if it was a CPU, it could be said that it was fried. It was simply too unreal for her that it took another patting from Cade to really accept that her ears weren’t playing with her.

Accepting the fact that just like them, Zara was worried, and she felt sorry for it. Lena suddenly rose to her feet and before Zara could digest what was happening, she was in her mother’s arms, who was now sniffing as she embraced her tightly.

Although her mother wasn’t saying a word, Zara understood her perfectly well. There was no need for words. And seeing her like this, Zara was relieved as well.

She didn’t hold it against .

That’s all she could think about.

After weeping for a while, Lena, who had lost her manners, gracefully returned to her husband’s side before urging Zara to continue.

Looking at her mother, who had wiped her face clean, with no more signs of losing composure from earlier, what else could she do?

And more so when her parents were looking at her affectionately?

Who made her their little princess?

As a result, she resud from where she had stopped earlier.

"I was tasked to visit the village to get the ring. Sothing that I did. However, talking about this ring .... Ummmm...." As she talked about this, she suddenly recalled another major issue. Sothing that her father shouldn’t be probably aware of right now.

For a second, she contemplated whether to tell or not tell. However, recalling how it was confession ti, she gritted her teeth as she slowly started removing the gloves covering her fair hands as she continued with her confession. "Um ... so the ring is called the ring of eternity. I was described how it looked, but never where it was. So ......." With two red clouds on her cheeks, Zara did her best to explain what had transpired back then.

And the more Cade listened to the story, the more his eyes narrowed as he now saw how his daughter had left for a month and returned with a boyfriend. So, that guy scamd her just because of the ring?

However, as he looked at the magnificent ring on his daughter’s finger, Cade couldn’t bash his daughter again. He could only suppress the fiery emotions threatening to erupt and think calmly.

If he were in Zara’s shoes, he would agree to the proposal. After all, who didn’t want to live?

On the other side, Lena’s eyes were all lit up. Hearing the real encounter between her daughter and that favorite son-in-law of hers, all the anger she had accumulated from the mont she sat down dissipated.

Who would have guessed that her son-in-law was so overbearing like that?

He reminded her of her husband. How he was like when they started their relationship.

And wasn’t Amir just like those overbearing cold CEOs in those novels?

Her eyes squinted narrowly, enjoying this part of the story.

Cade, seeing his little wife like that, could only shake his head helplessly inwardly as he lanted how this son-in-law got another supporter. With her like this, how will they deal with Amir when the ti cos?

After listening to Zara narrating her story, blushing furiously, Cade let out a deep sigh, calming his mind, chanting a script to keep himself very cool.

His cotton jacket, the cabbage he had raised for twenty-three years, was getting stolen just like that? Just who was this son-in-law?

He couldn’t find anything on him at all.

Just what kind of deity did his daughter invite to his ho?

However, looking at Zara again, what else could he say?

"Anyway, one day I will introduce you guys formally. I .... When I agreed to date him, I told him that I needed a few years to stay with my family. So, don’t worry, everyone. I will be with you for a long ti!" Zara bead as she added this after dropping the bomb on her parents earlier.

Upon hearing that, Cade let out another sigh, but this one was of relief rather than lant, making Lena poke him playfully laughing at him.

Ignoring his wife, Cade looked at his daughter and asked, "So, dear. This ti, what do you need to collect?" shifting the topic back to the relics, kicking the story of Amir to the side.

Upon hearing that, Zara’s eyes lit up before she hurriedly responded. "Um. I will be collecting a dagger. It’s called a dagger of suffering!"

And the two, upon hearing that, frowned at the sa ti, not liking the na of the relic at all.

The two couldn’t help but have an inkling that this dagger was ominous.

Lena, having a bad feeling about this dagger, opened her mouth and asked warily, a glimr of hope in her heart though. "Baby, does this dagger, by any chance, have anything to do with the curse? And do you happen to know why it is called the dagger of suffering?"

"Badum. Badum. Badum."

Upon hearing her mother’s questions, Zara’s heart thumped as fear and guilt overshadowed her.

She wanted to explain what was happening to her parents, but at the thought of how crazy they might go if they heard the story, she couldn’t bear it.

She would rather lie to them this ti than tell them. So, with a straight face, she opened her mouth and lied without batting an eye. "I am afraid that I haven’t asked that question yet. At the mont, I am just concerned with collecting the relics. I can’t waste any questions!"

Upon getting that response, Lena felt both relieved and disappointed. However, her daughter’s response makes sense. Rather than wasting questions on the backstory of a relic, why not hear more about what will happen in the future?

"It’s fine. As long as we can get the relics, that’s fine. So, how many do you need to gather again?"

"At this mont, I don’t know. The book will continue to guide ."

Zara sat there as her parents started to freely ask her questions, which she answered as best as she could.

That lasted for a while before Zara started feeling tired.

Seeing her drowsy and tired, the couple could only reluctantly shut their mouths before sending her away. Since Emma and Ava were waiting for Zara, the couple watched as Zara was taken back to the villa instead of staying in the manor.

They wanted their daughter with her, but all her machines were at the villa. So, it was only for the best if she returned there. Besides, there were things that they needed to deal with first and didn’t want Zara to notice at all.

With Zara gone, the couple looked at each other before they called the butler.

"Is the seer well rested now?"
