Everyone turned to look at the Old Mada’s Arm. Splotches of red nail marks appeared on her skin. It looked like she had been pinched harshly.

The marks were extrely deep. If she had used more strength, the woman would’ve already bled.

Yao Ran’s face instantly paled. “I’m sorry,” she stuttered. “It’s all my fault.”

“It’s...”

She wanted to say sothing else to stop them, but she stopped, and instead glanced in Yao Tang’s direction. Sothing flashed in her eyes, before she looked down, sniffling.

“It’s my fault, Grandma. I’m sorry.”

Qin Man imdiately stepped forward, not believing her daughter one bit. Seeing the tears streaming down her cheek, her heart twinged in pain.

Ranran always had such a kind heart. She would never do sothing this terrible. Soone must’ve set her up.

Soone must have caused Ranran to fall for her to pinch the Old Mada so unnecessarily. She pursed her lips. That soone...

Her gaze shifted onto Yao Tang.

She was the closest to Yao Ran, was she not? Her eyes narrowed, but no matter how intimidating she looked, Yao Tang still made no unnecessary movents.

...

Qin Man scowled. “Yao Tang, did you trip your sister?”

Yao Yuan tugged at Qin Man’s sleeve, and she glanced to the side. Only then did she rember that Yang Nianwas still standing right beside her.

“It doesn’t matter that you’ve stretched your foot. You still managed to trip over your sister,” she reprimanded, changing her tone. “It’s no matter that you’ve decided to play a little ga with her, but you’ve managed to drag your grandmother into your squabble. Do you really think you can shoulder the responsibility if she were to fall?”

“Mom!” Yao Ran imdiately called out, shaking her head. “Don’t talk to my cousin like that. She didn’t do anything on purpose—it’s just...”

“Even at this ti, you still want to speak up for her? If she hadn’t stretched her leg out, why would you have tripped?”

Qin Man dug her fingers into her palm.

Even then, the young woman held onto her mother’s arm, shaking it incessantly. “Don’t talk anymore,” she pleaded. “It really is all my fault.”

However, at that mont in ti, Yao Tang couldn’t care any less about their acting.

Instead, she walked directly to Old Mada Yao and took out a transparent glass bottle from her bag. Inside that bottle was a dark green paste. “Here, Grandma,” she said.

She applied the paste to her grandmother’s arm, making sure to massage the skin around the wound as gently as she could. A small smile made its way to Old Mada Yao’s lips as the fresh scent of herbs wafted toward her.

The ointnt, despite being cold, was quite comfortable.

Seeing this scene, Qin Man’s eyes flashed with anger. Wasn’t this child even listening to her?

“You—”

She ran forward, about to grab a hold of Yao Tang’s arm. What she didn’t expect was for the young woman to dodge in an instant, causing her to miss.

“What are you doing?” Qin Man demanded. “What’s in that bottle? How dare you apply it to your grandmother’s body? If sothing happens to her, will you take responsibility for your actions?”

She stretched out her hand to take the ointnt away from the young woman, but she didn’t succeed.

This ti, Old Mada Yao directly reached out to block her daughter-in-law.

“I think this ointnt is useful,” Old Mada Yao said, gazing at her indifferently. “You don’t have to worry about anything. Let Yao Tang do what she believes is best.”

As Yao Tang’s grandmother, she had the duty to protect her own granddaughter. Moreover, the ointnt was quite useful, if she said so herself.

Initially, her wound was burning in pain, but after applying it, her skin felt much more comfortable. Plus, she could now move her arm around without wincing.

Qin Man clenched her jaw.

This old lady trust that woman too much!

Yao Tang had co out of the countryside and took that ointnt with her. What is so good about that ointnt?

She wouldn’t be surprised if the ointnt had infected her!

The old lady liked Yao Tang too much that she was willing to protect her! How could she not care for her own wound? Qin Mangnashed her teeth together, flushed from the exchange.

Yang Nian’s eyes lit up. “Student Yao Tang,” he said unexpectedly. “That glass bottle in your hand...where did you get it from?”

“I picked it up.”

Yao Tang shrugged, not even bothering to look at him.
