Chapter 826: Chapter 843: I Threatened It
Paige knew they were coming back and brought Dylan early to greet them. She expected to see them reconcile and make peace like before, but instead, both of them wore somber expressions and didn’t even glance at each other.
What’s going on?
"Brother, sister-in-law..."
"Uncle, Aunt..."
Sienna Johnson could show Adrian Desmond her displeasure, but she couldn’t do the same with her sister-in-law, even though she didn’t want to deal with anyone at the moment.
"Are you and Dylan doing well?" Sienna asked with concern.
"We’re fine, just very worried about you and my brother. My brother went to find you, and I’ve been on edge for you both."
Sienna smiled and said, "Now everything’s fine."
"Mm."
"Paige, I’m a bit tired. I’ll go rest. You can chat with your brother."
"Alright."
Sienna patted Dylan’s head, smiled at him, and left. Adrian followed her.
Dylan watched their backs and said innocently, "Mom, Uncle and Aunt are arguing again..."
"You’re just a kid, don’t say such things."
"I’m not making it up. Didn’t you say that couples who argue all the time and aren’t happy together should get a divorce? Just like you and Dad. Mom and Dad divorced, and I think Mom is quite happy.
But Dad isn’t happy.
Every time I see Dad, he always looks sad."
Paige touched her son’s head and said, "Don’t be fooled by him. He has a new wife now, and that Princess is pregnant with his child. Maybe..." very soon, he’ll forget about you...
Seeing her son’s bright eyes, Paige couldn’t bring herself to say something so cruel.
"Does it make Mom sad that Dad has a new wife and child?"
"Mom has Dylan, so she’s not sad."
Dylan let out a long sigh, hugged his mother’s waist, and said, "Mom, don’t be sad. Dylan will always be with you, taking care of you."
"Mm."
...
"Where are you going? This isn’t the way to our place..." Adrian saw Sienna taking the wrong path and stepped forward to stop her.
"I don’t want to see you right now. I’m going to Kiki’s room."
"Kiki’s room is now Kiki and Lucas’s room. What’s the matter with you sleeping in a man’s room?"
Sienna retorted, "Then I’ll sleep in the guest room!"
"The guest room isn’t as comfortable as your own room..." Adrian didn’t waste words with Sienna, picked her up, and headed towards their bedroom.
Familiar scenery, familiar faces of the Servants greeted them, but Sienna remained cautious, unsure if any of these people might be the one who poisoned Adrian.
Now, she was as nervous as if on a battlefield.
They made their way back to their place, and Adrian pushed open their room door with his foot and walked in.
They’d been gone for so long, yet the room was clean and neat, and the lotus flowers in the vase were still blooming, as if nothing had changed.
"We’ve finally come home."
Adrian was very happy, but Sienna was not. She glanced at Adrian, took off her flats, and got into bed.
Adrian also took off his shoes and got into bed, wrapping her in his arms, and soon his even breathing could be heard.
The man had actually fallen asleep.
Sienna carefully turned around and saw Adrian’s unguarded sleeping face, with slightly furrowed eyebrows that seemed to never completely relax even in dreams.
She reached out her hand, trying to gently smooth out his troubles.
Who poisoned Adrian?
Sienna racked her brain, placing the primary suspect on Night Owl.
Thinking about it, she dismissed the idea. If Night Owl wanted Adrian dead, he had plenty of ways to do so. Using a slow poison wasn’t an effective method.
Who could it be?
Her hand wandered over his face; Adrian felt tickled, opened his eyes, saw Sienna and smiled at her, kissed her, then closed his eyes and went back to sleep.
Sienna was both angry at this man and helpless against him.
This feeling was like a mother scolding her naughty child, neither scolding nor beating gets through, but she can’t let it go.
What can I do?
Both were very tired, and Sienna eventually fell asleep too.
In a daze, she felt someone kissing her. Still dreaming, Sienna pushed away, suddenly feeling a sharp pain below. Her eyes flew open, only to see the man atop her.
The intense sensation—Adrian actually...
Sienna asked in shock, "Weren’t you impotent? How could this be?"
"Oh, I gave it a little threat."
Adrian moved slowly, and all the pleasure seemed to concentrate to one point. For someone who wasn’t used to making sounds, even Adrian couldn’t help the lovely sounds escaping his lips.
"What did you threaten it with?"
This was the first time Sienna heard that threats could cure someone.
"Since it’s useless, it might as well be cut off!"
Sienna: ...
"You see, I’m fine. Don’t be angry. Could you go with me to the doctor tomorrow? Will that work?"
Actually, it was different. The hardness wasn’t enough; he was really ill. But he didn’t want this suspicious woman to worry about him. Although being cared for by her felt really nice.
Sienna didn’t know what to say, "Get off. You’re a patient, do you know that?"
"Mm, I’m sick. Dr. Johnson, can you treat me?"
"I feel like I’m going to explode. What kind of illness do you think I have?"
"..."
"Dr. Johnson, do you think I can be cured?"
"I can’t cure you, go find someone else."
Adrian pinched her waist, merging himself with her repeatedly, enduring the almost overwhelming joy.
"...Dr. Johnson’s body feels so good, whenever I have it, the illness is gone."
