Chapter 797: Chapter 827: Search

She shut the door tightly, and under the cover of night, Sienna Johnson finally slipped away.

She planned to find Lucas Robertson and have him take her away from this dreadful place.

This wasn’t the City Center, where street lights illuminated the way, so everything was dark, and Sienna had to watch her step carefully.

She was worrying about where to find "Archie’s" house when Lucas suddenly appeared in front of her, "Madam!"

"Lucas!"

Seeing Lucas suddenly appear before her, Sienna exclaimed in delight. Even if she had won 750 thousand in a lottery, she wouldn’t have been this happy.

"Madam, are you okay?" Lucas looked her up and down and, despite the dim night, noticed the injuries on Sienna’s face.

"..."

"Your face?"

"I killed Xavier Young." Sienna told Lucas.

Lucas looked at Sienna, with her pregnant belly, appearing so delicate and weak. How did she manage to kill a man like Xavier Young?

"How did you end up here?"

"I saw the house was on fire and, worried you were in danger, I came to save you."

Sienna felt fortunate for Lucas’s sharp instincts; otherwise, if she had gone into the village to find Archie’s house, she really wouldn’t have known where to start.

And if she couldn’t find Archie’s house, she might have been discovered.

"Xavier Young is dead. Let’s hurry and leave; I’m afraid we’ll be discovered." Sienna urged.

"Okay."

Lucas led Sienna away, and after walking for a while, Sienna was out of breath. Seeing her pace, Lucas feared it would slow them down, so he picked her up and started to run.

Sienna felt uncomfortable being jostled, yet she knew this was the only option.

She glanced back at the place where she had lived for a month, now enveloped in flames... Xavier Young must have been reduced to ashes.

Goodbye, Xavier Young!

...

Adrian Desmond had originally intended to take action tonight, but was stopped by Wayne Manning, who asked Adrian to give him one more night to prepare. Though Adrian was unwilling, he eventually agreed.

Yet unexpectedly, in the middle of the night, someone monitoring Woodenshade Village came to report that Woodenshade Village was on fire.

"What did you say? Say it again!"

"Woodenshade Village is on fire, where Xavier Young lived; there was a big fire, Madam... Madam was inside..."

Adrian felt an emptiness inside him, standing there in a daze, forgetting what he should do.

Brandon Potter hadn’t expected such a thing to happen in the middle of the night, and everyone in the camp was awakened, with the news spreading quickly.

"What’s the situation at Woodenshade Village now?" Brandon asked.

"It’s not clear yet. Woodenshade Village is in chaos. Xavier Young is presumably dead, and a few capable people are fighting for Xavier Young’s position."

"So there’s infighting?" Brandon asked.

"Pretty much."

"Xavier Young isn’t even buried yet, and they can’t wait. How much of a failure was he, that even his subordinates couldn’t wait for his death!" Brandon mocked coldly.

Brandon looked at the distraught Adrian, fragile like a child abandoned by his mother. In critical times, women are indeed stronger than men.

"Marion, take people and sneak in while you can to see if you can find Madam. 001 is also in there; if anything happens, go to 001. He’s lived there long enough to know it well."

"I’ll go now." Marion glanced at Adrian, seeing him still in a daze. Adrian was of no help at this moment.

Sabrina Conner also said, "Marion, I’m going too. Mila and I will both go."

The tent, which had been noisy, now quieted down.

Brandon stayed to accompany Adrian. He was bare-chested, with wounds on his chest repeatedly torn open by the willful Sixth Master, so they never healed.

"Sixth Master, I believe Madam has her own guardian angels; she will turn misfortune into blessings..."

Brandon draped a thin blanket over Adrian, who moved slightly, as if suddenly coming back to life.

He suddenly stood up, walking out barefoot.

"Sixth Master, where are you going?"

"I don’t believe that woman would be burned to death! That woman is too cunning; she wouldn’t die!"

"Sixth Master, you haven’t put on your shoes yet."

Brandon grabbed a pair of Adrian’s shoes and a coat, chasing after him with these items.

"Sixth Master, wait for me!"

...

In Woodenshade Village,

the air was filled with the smell of burning, and the cries of adults and children. The tall and majestic building Xavier Young had established was reduced to ashes by the fire, and there were still embers burning.
