"Dax..."
"Is everything okay?" Lucy asked as she walked down the stairs, as beautiful as ever.
She wore a red gown that hugged her body down to her belly, showing her perfect figure.
Portions of her breasts were visible through the partly open gown, and then there were the heels she wore.
She had noticed the tension in the room and couldn’t help but feel they were up to sothing.
"Hi, babe," Darren greeted, trying to sound as casual as he could.
He wasn’t even sure if he still had it in him to go for lunch, Dax had ruined everything.
"Hey, sweetie," Lucy replied as she walked to him and gave him a light kiss, more of a peck.
"So, what were you discussing with my brother?" Lucy asked, her voice smooth, slithering, and seductive, as she walked up and started adjusting his tie.
Darren threw an awkward look at Daxon. The words wouldn’t co out.
but Daxon ca to the rescue.
"Well, Darren here said he’d give his suit after lunch as a gift, to show that he loves you... and us," Daxon said.
For a mont, Lucy was astounded.
"Aww... is this true, baby?" Lucy giggled.
Darren smiled hypocritically. Inwardly, he was in deep pain and cursing.
"Yeah, I an... anything to see that smile on your face," Darren replied.
Lucy kissed him again. She was now lting with joy.
The fact that Darren was giving his most expensive suit to her brother was romantic enough to make her love him more.
"Co on then, shall we?"
Darren said, ushering her with his hand, which she crossed over with hers, and calmly they walked toward the door.
With one final stare at Dax, they left.
After Lucy and Darren had gone, Daxon exhaled heavily. It was his first ti blackmailing soone.
What surprised him most was that he liked it. He didn’t feel guilty at all. rather he felt smart.
Darren deserved it, not because he screwed soone that wasn’t his sister (he didn’t even care about that), but because he had once called him weird and was among those that made him feel like a loser in school.
More was to co, he thought.
This suit is just the tip of the iceberg.
He sat back and relaxed on the couch. His body, it seed, smiled along with his lips.He had completely outdone himself.
He picked up his iPad and was about to search for a male-oriented harem fantasy novel on his favourite reading platform, Webnovel, when he heard sothing.
At first, he didn’t think much of it. He was alone at ho.
His mom had left earlier for work, and now his sister had just gone for her date.
He made to continue his search, but then he heard it again, this ti, more violent.
Daxon lowered his phone and stood up from the couch. That was when he noticed his environnt.
The black curtains at the window were flailing.
The air was wild and tense, like the onset of a storm.
The once bright sumr weather had dimd, as though day wanted to give way to night.
Daxon could have sworn the day was bright when he opened the door to let Darren in earlier.
But then he heard the sound again, it snapped him out of his thoughts.
It ca from upstairs... maybe one of the rooms.
Quietly, he tiptoed from the sitting room through the dining area and into the kitchen, where he calmly took out a knife.
If it was a thief who had entered the house, he might as well commit murder to add to his blackmail.
He was about to step out of the kitchen and head up the stairs when there was a loud crashing sound from upstairs. The building trembled violently.
The ceiling between both floors ripped open, and sothing massive crashed into the sitting room.
The house was now a ss. The lights went off as sparks flew from ripped wires.
The stairs had been completely torn apart, and a large hole had been blasted into the upper floor.
Amidst it all, Daxon stood frozen, still on his tiptoes.
Whatever had destroyed the building now stood right in front of him.
He wasn’t even thinking about the fact that, had he still been in the sitting room, he would’ve been crushed.
No.... what he saw now triggered his deepest fear.
It was sothing huge, sothing alive.
Coated in coarse, matted fur, with twin curled horns jutting unevenly from its head. Its spine appeared to be breathing, jagged and rough.
It looked like a beast, like sothing that walked on its four limbs but could also stand on its two hind limbs.
It had its back to Daxon at first, but then it sniffed the air around it. And It had sensed sothing fresh... sothing with blood.
And with terrifying speed, it turned to face him.
Daxon scread.
He had tried to stay silent, to avoid drawing attention, but now it was too late, and he had seen it clearly now, was he dreaming.
The creature had no eyes. Its mouth was worse, wild and filled with ragged teeth.
Its front limbs were longer than the rest.
It let out a deafening growl that outmatched Daxon’s scream as it launched for him.
Daxon’s pulse skyrocketed. He had given up hope of surviving, he couldn’t move. He just stood there, frozen.
The beast was just a pinky’s width away from tearing into him... and ripping him apart and....
BOOM!
A wild blast hit the beast, flinging it violently to the right. It slamd against the wall, which collapsed instantly.
The creature hit the ground with a loud thump, it flailed its head, and snarled in fury.
Daxon blinked, shocked to still be alive.
Walking past him toward the beast was a girl, dressed in a thick, red leather suit.
Her hair was white, and she carried a thumber, which she casually threw aside as she advanced.
Drawing two shiny, silver swords with jagged edges, she marched toward the creature.
The beast, now growling fiercely, launched at her.
Its paws scratched up the floor violently, and its weight cracked the surface as it leapt at her.
But the lady slid beneath it in one swift motion dodging the beasts paws, and slashing its belly with her blade. She passed under it, slicing all the way, until she slid in-between it’s legs to it’s back.
The beast slumped to the floor as thick, blue liquid gushed out.
Daxon was still frozen. He’d had enough surprises for one day, and now... look at their house.
"I’m so dead, "he pondered.
Whatever was happening, he sincerely wished he could wake up from this nightmare.
The lady turned and began to walk away from the house when Daxon finally found his voice.
"Are... are... are you gonna leave that thing here? L-look at the ss you made in my house!"
She turned, baffled, and walked up to Daxon, peering at him.
"How... possible?" she sneered. "Wait, you can see ?"
"You’re really dumber than you look, after taking down that thing," Daxon snapped.
He held his temples with both palms. He was freaking out, and his heart was racing.
"You shouldn’t be able to see ...or that beast," the girl stuttered in utter amazent.
"Well, I can, so stop whatever it is you’re doing and fix my.... "
Daxon was cut off.
His eyes shot wide open as he dropped to his knees.
Blood splattered from his stomach where four deep gashes had been torn through.
His vision blurred.
He could barely make out a long spear falling to the floor... and the girl pinned beneath the beast she thought she had killed.
The beast’s growl sounded distant now.
Daxon wanted to close his eyes, he was so tired.
Blood soaked the floor beneath him.
The beast was now doing a great job strangling the psycho girl.
anwhile, the beast opened its mouth wide, it had started sucking out her soul.
A blue ripple spread across her body, flowing toward her lips.
She fought it, but the beast was too strong.
The blue shimr was now surging across her heart up to her neck moving slowly.
And then it had slowly drifted up to her mouth
The girl twitched and fought but then the blue light ca out of her mouth, it was now above her her mouth and...
Plunge!
A spear pierced the beast’s face where an eye should have been. Blue blood splattered all over the girl.
With a loud gasp, she regained her soul in a surge.
Daxon slumped to the floor. The spear he held clattered to the ground with a tallic clang.
He now lay still.
A voice was saying sothing to him, the voice was very calm and beautiful, it sounded so far away, but he was gone.
His eyes where too heavy to be open.
he shut but then he was sowhere.
"What the fuck..."
