"What? Uncle, you must be hungry, right? Don’t worry, soone should co by with food soon." Jian Dan feigned ignorance and said.
"Jian Jian, you’re right, I am indeed starving!" Chu Liyuan’s lips curled into a aningful smile.
"Oh dear, why hasn’t the food arrived yet? I’m getting hungry myself." Jian Dan said as she walked towards the door.
Chu Liyuan pulled Jian Dan back with one swift move, "Jian Jian, do you think you can escape?"
"Uncle, I..."
Just then, the saving sound of a knock on the door ca.
"Uncle, it must be the food delivery, I’ll get the door!" Jian Dan broke free from Chu Liyuan’s embrace and walked to the door.
Jian Dan had just placed the food on the table and hadn’t even taken the bag when she was lifted into a princess carry by Chu Liyuan.
"Jian Jian, you might as well feed before we talk!"
Jian Dan didn’t even have ti to speak before she was rendered speechless...

"Uncle, does this count as having pacified you?" Jian Dan looked up into Chu Liyuan’s eyes and asked softly.
"It counts! But...it’s still not enough!"
"Uncle, why are you so greedy?"
"I can be even greedier!" Chu Liyuan said as he leaned in to seal Jian Dan’s lips again.
"Uncle, I’m really hungry, listen to my stomach growling." Jian Dan’s stomach growled right on cue.
Chu Liyuan had no choice but to let Jian Dan go for the mont.
They had just sat down to eat when the sound of knocking ca again.
"Hmm? Who could it be at this ti?" Jian Dan looked towards the door and spoke.
"I’ll get it!"
"Li! You absolutely won’t believe who’s here!" Shang appeared at the door.
"Tell!"
"Bai Haochen!"
"What?" Chu Liyuan’s expression changed slightly, "What is he doing here?"
"Said he was passing through."
"I see. Keep an eye on him, make sure nothing happens to him."
"Don’t worry! I’ve already arranged for soone to protect him in the shadows."
"Alright!"
Jian Dan noticed Chu Liyuan’s unpleasant expression when he returned, "Uncle, did sothing happen?"
"I just found out another old friend’s son is trapped here too." Chu Liyuan didn’t hide anything from Jian Dan.
"Is he soone important?" From Chu Liyuan’s eyes, it was clear that this old friend’s son wasn’t just an ordinary person.
"Kind of!"
"What are you worried about, Uncle?"
"This person’s identity is special, so...it’s fine, I’ve already taken care of it."
"Oh! That’s good then!"
Jian Dan didn’t press further, but from the look on Uncle’s face, it was clear that person was very important.
Two weeks later...

They had just been notified that they could finally go ho.
Uncle left first to handle the aftermath.
Jian Dan packed her bags and, as she stepped out, saw Bai Haochen, who had also just co out.
"Jian Dan!"
"Bai Haochen!"
Bai Haochen thought that after not seeing Jian Dan for so many days, his feelings for her would fade a lot, but the mont they t again, he realized that not only had they not faded, they seed even more intense than before.
Just as he was about to step forward, he heard soone call him from behind, turned around, and saw, "Uncle Chu? Long ti no see, what are you doing here?"
"Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that?"
"I was just out for a change of scenery, didn’t expect to run into sothing like this." Bai Haochen answered Chu Liyuan elegantly.
"Uncle, the person you ntioned earlier, is it him?" Jian Dan walked over and glanced at Bai Haochen, then asked.
The way Jian Dan addressed him as Uncle sounded particularly uncomfortable to Bai Haochen, though he didn’t know why.
