It’s been a few days since it all happened. Ever since Ouyang Jing returned to the base, he’s been shutting himself in his room, refusing to eat or drink.
"Uncle, what should I do? If I hadn’t agreed to let Xingxing go back then, would Xingxing still be alive?" Jian Dan hasn’t been happy either these days.
"The fact that she decided to be there ans she had already made up her mind. Even if you hadn’t agreed, she would have gone anyway." Chu Liyuan held Jian Dan, gently stroking her forehead with a loving touch.
"But I keep feeling that the reason they’ve ended up like this is because of . If I hadn’t agreed to Ouyang’s request at the ti, he wouldn’t have joined the Special Team, and none of this would have happened afterward."

"If this had happened to , I would rather go through all of it just to et the one I love deeply." Chu Liyuan looked at Jian Dan with eyes full of affection. "Are you hungry?"

"Then let’s go eat!"
As Chu Liyuan led Jian Dan out the door, they ran into Xiao Ting, who had been lingering outside for a while. "Xiao Ting, what are you doing here? Looking for ?"
"Jian, could you go check on Ouyang? I know I can’t help him anymore."
"Ouyang? What’s wrong with him?"
"He’s about to beco a transcendental being by not eating or drinking." Xiao Ran, who had unknowingly appeared behind, spoke up.

"Anyway, Ouyang’s not doing well. You’ll see when you check on him."
"I’m going right now~" Jian Dan couldn’t even bother to eat and went to Ouyang’s room with Xiao Ting.
Opening the door, a musty sll hit her. The curtains weren’t drawn, making the room look like a haunted house during broad daylight.
"Ouyang~" Jian Dan walked in. In this already small room, she didn’t spot Ouyang at first, only finding him in a dark corner.
Looking at Ouyang Jing with his unkempt beard, he seed to have aged several years all at once.
"Ouyang Jing, what are you doing?" She opened the curtains first, then walked up to Ouyang Jing and spoke.
Ouyang Jing looked in a specific direction with hollow, lifeless eyes.
"How long has he been like this?"
"He’s been like this since he got back. I had no choice but to co to you. I know you’re not feeling well either!"
"Xiao Ting, I understand. I’ll take care of Ouyang. You probably exhausted yourself these past few days too, right?" Jian Dan knew clearly that Xiao Ting couldn’t be feeling any better either, but she still had to take care of Ouyang Jing. Her dark circles revealed that she definitely hadn’t been resting well.
"Jian, I’m fine!"
"Don’t say you’re fine. Listen to , go back and rest." Jian Dan didn’t give Xiao Ting a chance to argue and directly escorted her back to her room.

"Co here~" Chu Liyuan held Jian Dan and led her to the canteen.

Just as Jian Dan thought this, she saw a familiar figure. "Granny? How co you’re here?"
"Chu Liyuan said you haven’t been eating well lately, so I ca over.
And I brought along a cute little guy for you!"
"Huh?"
"Little Jian, you’ve gotten so thin, you must eat more today!" Grandpa ca out of the kitchen.
"Granny, the cute little guy you’re talking about wouldn’t happen to be Grandpa, would it?"
"Little Jian, how could you say that? Am I not cute?" Grandpa pretended to be unhappy.
"Of course not, Grandpa is definitely cute."
"Alright, enough out of you! Calling yourself a little cutie, aren’t you ashad?" Granny glared at Grandpa.
"Look, he’s still asleep!" Granny led Jian Dan to a baby stroller.
Looking at the peacefully sleeping little Tuanzi in the stroller, a smile involuntarily appeared on Jian Dan’s lips.
