1458 She Knows Lu Beichen
“Alright alright, eat slowly. Nobody is fighting you.”
“Why? Are you afraid I’ll eat until you’re broke?”
“Haha, eat all you want. Take it as my loss if you eat until I’m broke.”
Just then, Gu Jingyan had wanted to laugh but in a mont of carelessness, she choked.
“Cough cough cough…” Her face turned pale.
Lu Beichen’s face changed as well.
“What happened?”
“Cough…”
“Quick, have so water. Oh man, hurry.” Lu Beichen quickly got soone to get water.
The staff was a little slow in service.
Lu Beichen snatched it imdiately.
“Here, have a drink.” Lu Beichen said.
Gu Jingyan took it and had a sip. Finally, she was at ease.
Lu Beichen frowned. “Look at you.”
Gu Jingyan said, “Gosh, I almost died.”
Lu Beichen said, “It’s good that you know that you almost died. When will you start being more careful? Gosh, how old are you, and you still choke on water? I really have to hand it to you. Does soone have to chew your food into smaller pieces before feeding you so you’ll be safe in the future?”
“Hey, I’m not as bad as you say I am. You’re really a nag. If these ladies knew how much of a nag you are, I think they’d run off in fear.”
“You find naggy? I’m being concerned for you and you say that I’m naggy?” Lu Beichen stomped his feet.
“See, you’re still going on about it,” Gu Jingyan said.
Lu Beichen said, “Gosh, you really don’t have a heart.”
“Yes yes, girls are heartless. If you don’t like it, don’t date any girls.”
“Ha, it’s fortunate I’m not dating you. If not, I’d be mad by you every minute.”
After their al, Lu Beichen sent Gu Jingyan back to the dormitory.
Upon reaching the dormitory, Gu Jingyan realized that his notebook had landed in her bag.
It should be his study notebook.
But it was already late, so she thought it would be better to return it the next day.
The next day was filled with classes. Two of the classes were with her own class and there was not a need to go to the lecture hall. After Gu Jingyan had sat down, Liu YI went over. Everyone looked at Liu Yi with envy. Liu Yi was smiling gleefully. He sat down and asked, “What are you doing?”
“Oh, I’m thinking of going to another class to look for soone. I’m not sure if he’ll be in his own classroom.”
Every major had its own class at their university. They would only go to the lecture hall if they had a mass lecture.
Liu Yi said, “Everyone should be in their own class in the afternoon.”
“Really? Then I’ll go look for him.”
“Who do you want to look for?”
“Lu Beichen.”
“Huh?” Liu Yi said in surprise. “Why do you want to look him up?”
“Nothing. So personal matters.” She got up and asked, “Is his class at the front?”
“Yes, it’s a little far from us. Look, it’s just in front of the lecture building. Hey, I thought you said you weren’t interested in Lu Beichen yesterday.”
“Not being interested has nothing to do with looking for him.”
“But… if you’re not interested, then why are you looking for him?”
“You think too much. I have so stuff.” She smiled, got up, and gave Liu Yi a pat. Then she headed out.
Soon, she arrived at Lu Beichen’s class.
From outside, she saw many pretty girls inside. Lu Beichen had chosen a good class.
Gu Jingyan stood at the door, held onto soone, and asked, “Hey, is Lu Beichen in here?”
The mont she said she was looking for Lu Beichen, a girl at the door stared at Gu Jingyan and started scrutinizing her.
Due to Gu Jingyan’s beauty, the girl had to take more than a look.
Then, her face got solemn and she said, “Not here.”
Gu Jingyan asked, “Not here? Is that so?”
Where could he be if he was not there?
She walked over, intending to have a look.
The girl obstructed her path. “What’s there to look at? This is not your class to look in.”
Gu Jingyan was pushed aside and a frown was upon her face. “Why? Can’t I take a look if it isn’t my class?”
“Ha, of course not. Why? Do you want to go after Lu Beichen? Let tell you. Not a chance. There’s plenty who have failed, coming to our class and blocking the doorway every day. Who do you think you are? Take a queue number.”
Gu Jingyan found it absurd. She did not say that she was after Lu Beichen. Even if so, if soone were to go after Lu Beichen, what has it got to do with her?
Gu Jingyan raised her eyebrows. “Oh? Then who are you to Lu Beichen? Standing here and blocking people’s way.”
The girl glared at her. “I’m nobody. But I just don’t like it when people like you run over here to block our door. Shouldn’t you have so restraints as a girl? Shoo, shoo. Don’t block others’ doorways alright?” She said as she wanted to push Gu Jingyan.
This ti, Gu Jingyan did not allow herself to be pushed. She retreated and avoided her hand. The girl ended up pushing the air and got frustrated instantly. Gu Jingyan scoffed, “I must find Lu Beichen today.”
Gu Jingyan made her way in as she spoke.
The girl at the door said angrily, “Hey, I’ve never seen soone as shaless as you. What are you doing? Move, you’re not allowed to go in.”
“I’m looking for Lu Beichen. On what grounds are you not allowing in?”
“Step aside. Why are you so shaless? Which girl is like you? Who do you think you are? You say you want to see Lu Beichen at your will. Look at how shaful you are, and you want to go after Lu Beichen.”
“Ha, how shaful am I? I know Lu Beichen.”
The girl was stunned. She looked at Gu Jingyan in disbelief. “Don’t think I’ll let you in just because you said so.”
Gu Jingyan could not be bothered with her. She shouted towards the classroom, “Lu Beichen, are you here? Don’t pretend to be dead. I’ve brought your notebook.”
“Y-y-you.” The girl at the door had horror all over her face.
Unexpectedly.
Lu Beichen walked out step by step.
“Gu Jingyan?”
The girl froze imdiately. Watching Lu Beichen walk out and headed directly towards Gu Jingyan, she felt extrely disgruntled. She actually knew Lu Beichen?
Gu Jingyan scoffed and imdiately went beside Lu Beichen right before the girl’s eyes and said, “Don’t you want your notebook anymore?”
“Oh, it dropped at your place last night? I forgot.” He took the notebook.
Gu Jingyan looked at the girl whose jaw had dropped.
The girl’s eyes were full of jealousy but she walked into the class extrely displeased.
She actually knew Lu Beichen. How could that be…
Gu Jingyan scoffed in her direction and held onto Lu Beichen’s arm imdiately. She walked in front of the girl on purpose.
Seeing how the girl seed to be full of rage, she felt much better.
“Co, co, rember to have lunch together.”
It was not just that girl, everyone else had been watching them.
Especially when they saw the two of them headed out arm in arm. Their eyes followed the pair out.
Who was this beauty? Why did she seem so close to Lu Beichen?
Everyone looked at the two of them leaving in bewildernt. They had beco the talking point along the corridor.
Lu Beichen did not know what had happened. Having been dragged out by her, he only felt that sothing was amiss with her.
Gu Jingyan had been angered by that girl. If not, she could not be bothered about letting people know that she and Lu Beichen were friends.
