The next afternoon, before three o’clock, Lin Jiayi stopped what she was doing and asked Xia Shangzhou to send her to a nearby shopping mall.
She had a VIP card in the beauty salon in the shopping mall, so she would usually co here for a SPA when she was free. Most of the ti, Xia Shangzhou was the one who booked her appointnts for her.
Today was no exception. When Xia Shangzhou went upstairs to book a room for her, Lin Jiayi took a stroll around the shopping mall downstairs. After receiving a call from Xia Shangzhou, Lin Jiayi carried the spoils of war she had just bought and went upstairs.
After Lin Jiayi entered the beauty salon, Xia Shangzhou didn’t go too far. Instead, he found an empty seat in the coffee shop on the fifth floor of the shopping mall, ordered a cup of black coffee, and took out his laptop, he helped Lin Jiayi with the unfinished work that she had been doing in the company.
Xia Shangzhou set an alarm clock, and an hour and fifty minutes later, his alarm rang. He hurriedly saved so of the things that he had just finished working on, packed them up, and called for the waiter to pay the bill, then, he got up and headed to the beauty salon downstairs.
He waited at the entrance for about ten minutes before Lin Jiayi walked out with the support of the beauty salon’s director and the nurse.
For a mont, Xia Shangzhou didn’t dare to recognize the woman in front of him.
Her waist-length curly hair was pulled straight, and it hung gently at the back of her head. Due to the many clients she had to et every day, her face, which had always been covered in makeup, was completely unadorned, her clean and fair skin was so tender that she didn’t look like a thirty-year-old at all. She no longer wore those capable clothes, but a white shirt with lace, paired with a simple black skirt and white flats, her entire person was youthful and beautiful. At first glance, she looked like a young college student who had just walked out of the campus.
In Xia Shangzhou’s impression, Lin Jiayi was flamboyant, wanton, enchanting, and bright. He had never seen her look so simple and elegant, so clean that she looked like a piece of undyed white paper.
Xia Shangzhou was so stunned that he didn’t even notice when Lin Jiayi walked up to him.
“How is it? Is it good-looking?”Lin Jiayi asked as she casually walked around Xia Shangzhou.
Xia Shangzhou ca back to his senses, and his gaze lingered on Lin Jiayi’s face for a few more seconds. Then, he nodded and replied, “It’s good-looking.”
“Does it look better this way or the usual way?”
“Both...”
“I knew that you would say the sa thing when I asked you... forget it, I won’t make things difficult for you. However, Qin Ting will definitely like my outfit... when he confessed to back then, he told that the first ti he saw , it was because I was wearing a white shirt and a black skirt that he noticed ...”
Xia Shangzhou didn’t say a word. With a smile on his face, he reached out his hand and took the clothes that Lin Jiayi had changed into, changing the topic, he said, “CEO Lin, it’s about ti. It’s ti to set off. If we were any later, the traffic would surely be terrible. By then, you might even be late...”
