Chapter 553: Feeding dicine (1)
It was only when she got closer that Shi Yao realized that the ‘sleeping’Lin Jiage’s complexion wasn’t looking too good. His eyebrows were tightly knitted together, and the skin on his lips was starting to dry up. His breathing sounded especially laborious, it was as if he was unable to catch his breath.
Did Lin Jiage... have a nightmare? or..
Without thinking too much into it, Shi Yao suddenly spoke up, “Lin Jiage?”
“Lin Jiage?”
She called his na several tis, but he showed no signs of waking up.
“Lin Jiage?”When Shi Yao called his na once more, she couldn’t help but reach out to touch his shoulder.
Through her clothes, Shi Yao could clearly feel the burning sensation.
Her fingertips trembled, and she instinctively retracted them.
The next mont, Shi Yao finally understood what was going on. She subconsciously reached out to touch Lin Jiage’s forehead, only to find that the temperature was shockingly high.
It was no wonder she felt that there was sothing wrong with his voice just now. It would be a wonder if he wasn’t suffering from the fever..
What else did she say? He’s really sound asleep... how is this sound asleep? He’s obviously delirious from the fever.
As these thoughts flashed through Shi Yao’s mind, she slowly recalled how warm she had felt him back then. Leaning close to him... that wasn’t warmth at all, that was the heat from the fever..
Shi Yao tried calling out Lin Jiage’s na twice, but seeing that he still showed no signs of waking up, she ran to the bathroom and soaked him in cold water. After wringing the towel dry, she ran back to the bed, she carefully folded the wet towel into a square and placed it on Lin Jiage’s forehead.
After giving Lin jiage a simple physical cooling, Shi Yao ran back to her bedroom and put on the clothes she had changed out of while showering. After which, she took Lin Jiage’s car keys and headed to the underground parking lot.
After exiting the residential area and driving down the road for less than five minutes, Shi Yao saw a 24-hour pharmacy by the side of the road.
She hurriedly stepped on the brakes.
A second after the car ca to a stop, she alighted from the car and rushed into the pharmacy.
After buying a thermoter and fever dicine, Shi Yao still asked the owner of the pharmacy for the bill.
The owner was very enthusiastic, and he told her so tips on how to lower the temperature if the fever didn’t subside.
After thanking him, Shi Yao took a bottle of alcohol and a bag of cotton balls before leaving the pharmacy. She hurriedly returned to Lin Jiage’s house.
After closing the door to the living room, Shi Yao took off her shoes. The first thing she did was to run over to Lin Jiage’s bedroom and check his breathing with her fingertips. After making sure that his breathing was normal, she heaved a sigh of relief, she took the towel that was already warm from the high fever from his forehead and soaked it in cold water to cool it down before placing it back on Lin Jiage’s forehead.
Shi Yao took out the thermoter and stuffed it into Lin Jiage’s mouth before heading to the dining room.
Not too long later, Shi Yao returned with a cup of water.
She placed the water on the bedside table and took out the fever dicine. After reading through the manual, she realized that almost three minutes had passed. She then took the thermoter out of Lin Jiage’s mouth and brought it before her eyes to take a look at the results.
Thirty-nine and a half degrees... to think that the fever would be so severe. No wonder he didn’t even react when she rolled off his bed and made such a huge ruckus..
While she was thinking, Shi Yao took out the fever dicine.
She stuffed the dicine into his mouth while holding a cup of water.
It took quite so ti before the dicine was finally stuffed into his mouth, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t get the water into Lin Jiage’s mouth.
