I finished setting up the array. Since the second step cos with a risk of losing oneself to bloodlust, I decided to invest my last APs in INT stat. Although my INT would be significantly higher than the rest of the stats, I felt my body was strong enough to hold it for now.
And since after this step, my body would be becoming very resilient, there wasn't a need to overly worry about this.
And then there was this. The additional step I wanted to attempt while my body was being ripped apart thousands of tis.
I may have ntioned the death and life elents inside of . Now with how much death I was dealing with, the elent of death was steadily growing. What I was worried about was the elent of life.
It wasn't growing at all. Even though I was regularly regulating them for as much as needed, the elent of life wasn't showing much improvent.
So, I decided to go with the more difficult but old thod. Absorption. An idea I gained from the sli I faced the other day.
Just like how it could assimilate the lower-level slis with itself, I decided to absorb the lower elents of the life branch in the life strand itself to increase it as much as I could.
For that, I bought several artifacts from the shop containing light and divine energy. Of course, with how low energies they contain, they might not even be able to increase the strand by fifty percent but there was nothing that could be done about it.
Even if I absorb the divinity of an apostle in training such as Eric, the life strand would at most increase by double or if I am lucky, a 1.5 increase.

So even though almost all of my coins were gone, I still bought everything without much regret. The increase of the life branch would have a heavy effect on the growth of my skills related to the life branch so I couldn't hold back on it regardless of how much it costs.
Since divinity is superior to light, the divine artifacts were very expensive compared to the light artifacts. Also, after this, my body would be strong enough to skip another power I was planning to wield which would enhance my body but I wouldn't be using it for that.
Anyway, that was for later, right now I need to begin with this. Once everything was prepared, I used another artifact to absorb all the energies in the artifacts.

It was expensive but I couldn't manually absorb everything with how much pain I would be in so I needed an automatic thod that would release the energies slowly and I would absorb it during the span of a week.
Having soone else do it for was out of the question. The bloodlust might reach a point where I might rip them apart before I can reason properly.
Finally, the last step would prevent all the energies from leaking to the outside. The artifact that I used last ti and in the sli dungeon. The shield artifact.
Now, everything was ready. All that was left was to endure.

The beginning of the process is very easy. The ripping of the body. It is fairly quick so it is easy to endure. What is difficult is to endure when it builds back with the additional energies from the Penta enhancent array.
At first, the process is very small. If we compare it to the scale of pain, then being hit by a bullet. A simple Glock bullet would do but those who haven't been hit by it only think that it doesn't hurt much.
When a bullet is shot, it is propelled with such force that it breaks a person from the inside. Consider it like this, if a bullet strikes a ribcage, that point of the ribcage and most of the area surrounding it would shatter. The said person doesn't die only from blood loss or such things, but most of the ti people die from the impact.
So it is sowhat painful if I might say. But if we only put it on the first scale, then the second one would be falling from a ten-story building and that is how it feels when the second ti flesh rips apart and regenerates.
Let put the third scale as being hit by a bullet train and I speak from personal experience, it hurts very much.
And then the cycle continues. The body becos resilient the more it is ripped apart and also with the addition of the werewolf blood essence, the properties of defense are further enhanced.
What is worrying are these constant thoughts of slaughter. Since I am fairly in control of myself, I'm not imagining killing those I have nothing against.
But there are two people and their companions that I am currently very much considering ripping their hearts out, gutting them like animals, and leaving them to rot in the intense heat of the sun.
One of them would be the Big Poppa. The bastard who plays with life. He thinks nothing can be done against him because he is the necessary evil of society.
But that is just pure bullshit. There is no necessary evil. Either there is evil or there isn't at all. Evil isn't justified and if he thinks he is safe just because I am tolerating him right now, he is terribly wrong.
There will co a day when I kill him and I would make sure to kill him horribly. I am not just thinking this because I am currently embroiled in bloodlust.
My master taught how to deal with bloodlust. The answer was very simple. Direct it to soone who deserves it.
And in my books, no one deserved it more than those people who monetize won and degrade them for survival. It isn't just the Wild Turtles gangs that have to go but I will also annihilate all of the gangs and those who back them up.
The second one would be the crown prince. Ever since I ca to this world, he has been creating troubles for . He even tried to kill once. He might have his own reasons for that but that doesn't an I will forgive him for that.
So although I won't kill him, I might end up destroying his and his kin's lives.
One might wonder why I am deciding such things when bloodlust would only last during this week of the assimilation process. Well, that is because whoever I target with my bloodlust right now, will beco my instinctual targets.
I would loathe their existence and my thoughts would be filled with making their lives miserable and killing them in a thousand innovative ways. I won't be able to control my reason during that ti.
So whoever I make a target right now would remain one for eternity unless they are killed.
The high ntal strength is required to control my thoughts and only think of those who have to die. If my ntal strength isn't high, I would kill whoever cos to my mind right now.

The next process is the assimilation of the life branch elents and their absorption by the life strand. Unlike the Penta enhancent array, this isn't a painful process at all.
In fact, it is very soothing so it is so relief in this painful process.
All in all, everything is going smoothly because of my extensive preparation. Although it took a while to prepare and foresee all possible outcos, it was still better than facing complications during such a delicate process.
"Haa… Haa…" The pain was still excruciating though. No matter how used I beco to pain, it still hits the sa every ti.

It was difficult for to endure but it was rewarding alright. And the silver lining was that I avoided anything dangerous. I wasn't lost in bloodlust and I also wasn't mangled so everything other than that was okay.

The werewolf essence didn't seem to be of a very high quality but considering it was available for such a cheap price, it was understandable. Besides, so improvent is better than nothing.
The biggest point was that now I could attempt the third step. If I had remained fixated on finding a better quality of the werewolf blood essence, I would have been stuck in this phase for quite a long ti.
But I will have to wait for the assimilation first. It would be better if I waited for a few months and let my strength consolidate a bit.

"You seem… different," Laura said as she asured from head to toe. There was no addition in terms of look but I was a little buffed up now, not like bodybuilders but just a little more buffed up than a lean muscular man.
It wasn't because my END had increased but because of the werewolves' structures. It was an additional effect of the werewolves and since their bodies are large inherently, my body is affected by that as well.
"Focus on the control," I said. This was the last day to check up on their progress. The most I am worried about is Alicia. She will be the most vulnerable ntally when it cos to the test.
"And you focus on ," Laura said, striking with her whip which I caught effortlessly. The attack power of Laura cos from the elent of darkness. Leave that out, it is simply a D-rank attack.
But on , who has the superior elent of death, the damage of darkness doesn't affect at all.
The problem is her jealousy. When you are with a girl, don't think of another girl. The girl would know almost like they have a superpower of such sort.
"Don't be jealous." I still chose to point that out. "She will have to face a great test tomorrow. Not only for the academy but for herself as well."
It isn't easy for a doctor to kill. As for , I killed before I seriously decided on being a doctor so it wasn't very severe for . But I have seen my master, who although he could mask his expression perfectly, was in pain and I could see the pain behind it even when I was just a child.
"It won't be easy for too, you know," Laura complained but I knew for a fact that she would push through. Laura may not show it but she has a little taste for bloodshed. She enjoys it when others feel pain.
"Then focus." I chose not to pamper her on that. She wasn't the target of my worry right now. Only Alicia was. As for Rose, she won't have any problem either.
I'm not saying that she wouldn't have a problem at all. Even Eric who was attempting the test a second ti found it very hard to do it again.
In the novel, Rose does it easily because she was cold-blooded by then already. However, right now, she is different. But since day one, I have developed her mindset enough that she would be able to do it.
Unfortunately, Alicia will have to sohow do it on her own tomorrow. There will be nothing I will be able to do for her. I have no idea how she did in the novel since it wasn't discussed or ntioned, but she was all right in the later half when her role beca more active, so I had a feeling that she would be fine.
Tomorrow would tell.
