"You…" The golden knight threateningly said before he looked at , "What do you think you're doing right now?"
"?" I asked, while I held the hand he was about to hit Rose with, "I'm saving your life."
As much as happy I would be to take a lot of EXP for myself, I wasn't going to make a scene when I couldn't afford to back myself. I needed them to fight, but not now.
"This has gone far enough!" An elder from the imperial family's side spoke, "We have been humiliated too much by the Cheonma sect. And now…" He angrily looked at Tae Yong and continued, "Now so outsider is also disrespecting us."
"He tried to hit my wife," I spoke for myself, without giving Tae Yong a chance to because even if she sided with earlier, in the end, I was bound to return. She would definitely side with the party she would have to remain here.
"And she disrespected his imperial majesty by walking next to him!" The old man spoke, "And then you had the gut to stop an imperial soldier!"
"Shut your mouth before I rip your tongue out and feed it to your king," I simply said, my anger rising a bit. Sure, he was the ruler of this land, but there was a ti when his ancestors would kneel before , rub their noses and heads on the ground until they bled, all for my pleasure and nothing in return.
Needless to say, my remark wasn't well welcod by the other party but before anyone could say anything, a servant hurriedly ran over to the scene and yelled, "My lord Cheonma! There's news!"
As if everyone was looking for a way out, one of the elental demons asked, "What is it?"
"The just faction, led by the master of the nine sects, the master of the Shaolin, had just entered the city limits and is heading towards us. They were asked to stop for permission but they didn't." The servant explained the situation.
"Na'ra, stand down," The emperor said before he turned to Tae Yong and said, "I wasn't aware they would show disrespect like this."
I forgot. He was the one who brought them here. He must have told them to wait but they seed to have run out of patience and marched further into the city, heading over here. Looking at it from this point, he was at fault and it was right for him to apologize.
As for my mishap, "I won't apologize."
And I wasn't going to forgive them either. He tried to hit Rose. All those who tried that would die. No debate whatsoever.
"Let us put this behind us. We are willing to overlook this matter as long as you also forget about it." Tae Yong said, not really agreeing with but she wasn't disagreeing either, "Also, this man is a royalty himself. He has the right to walk equally as and you."
What she ant to say was that I was also a spoiled royal who was ingrained from my birth that only royalty was equal to and all others were beneath .
Royalty was equal. A common lesson taught to the royalty itself. With that said, Rose, my wife, had all the right to be treated like royalty as well.
The emperor nodded and said, "Then I will apologize for that. I hope you're willing to overlook my subordinate's misunderstanding and hastiness."
'I'm not.'
[You really are petty]
As hell.
I'd kill this one myself. Not now, but I will before I leave. It wasn't a mistake that could be just dealt with as a mistake. Forgive and move on. No, it was the kind of mistake that deserved punishnt and his decided punishnt was death.
Court adjourned.
We all nodded but we didn't leave. As if nothing happened, we remained in our places because the Cheonma sect had a rude guest to welco.
"Boooo!!!"
From a distance, the sounds of booing could be clearly heard. The people of the Cheonma sect were showing their clear displeasure with the just faction. Well, that was because the Murim alliance was what a possum was to humans.
Filthy.
Hypocrites who didn't deserve the just na they had. The na represented their entire continent. The Murim Alliance.
Frankly, I agreed. Not all of it, but most of the Murim alliance was corrupt as hell.
The most of it was because of the politics. Unlike the Cheonma sect, where only one word was law, the word of the Cheonma itself, the Murim alliance was split into my things. Nine sects and five schools. And then you had to count the big families as well, such as the Namgoog family or such.
There can only be one king. The catchphrase didn't exist for nothing. With so many kings to rule over one organization, there were going to be clear discrepancies. Major even.
Disagreents that wouldn't end with just a good talk. No, the consequence of which would be war and only death.
That was the kind of organization the Murim alliance was.
After about ten minutes of waiting, we could see a group heading over to us on horses. Most of the envoy was stopped behind and only key figures were allowed to co forward.
Ten horses, along with a carriage in which I could sense four presences. Two of them were nothing out of the ordinary, one of them was, let's say, strange and the last one was none other than my target.
On the horses, however, there were ten people. Eight n and two won. One of the won, I recognized very well and she recognized too but she didn't keep her eyes on for more than a second.
As for the eight n, one of them was bald with six dots on his forehead, a classic trademark of the Shaolin sect. Another man among the eight was also a monk.
They were leading the entire envoy, dressed in the typical orange set of monk outfits.
As for the rest of the right people, they didn't belong to just one organization. One was carrying a sword, one was carrying a spear, one was equipped with a bow and arrow and his position was at the back of the group, in front of the carriage.
One was wearing a set of gauntlets, one was holding what looked like a Japanese sword, a curved one, not a katana, and last but not least, the last one was carrying a fan.
He didn't look much like a fighter and from the looks of it, the way he was placed in the group, in the middle of it, he seed to be the coordinator of the group.
The battle strategist, one could say.
The woman, other than the Yin Empress, was also carrying a sword but she didn't seem to be associated with the two n with swords. Her sword was broad and heavy which didn't suit her thin figure but Qi didn't really let out, especially Yin Qi, the signs of muscles.
All the power of the Qi was internal and the signs of it outside the body were very, very few.
As for the four people inside the carriage, I didn't really care for the three of them because, although one of them was target, he wasn't of any significance.
One of them was the Murim's alliance's current master, the other one also had a sword on his waist but I couldn't tell what kind because my senses didn't allow that.
Leaving the last one, the most surprising one, I couldn't help but be intrigued by that last figure.
Not just because she was a woman.
[And that her figure felt amazing…]
Leave it to her to speak my mind.
Anyway, that wasn't what intrigued about her. What intrigued was her ability.
"Greetings, Cheonma." The man at the forefront spoke, interrupting my chain of thoughts. He was none other than the man leading this envoy.
"Long ti no see, Abbot." While it was disrespectful to address him so rudely, he was the one who did it first. He should have addressed the master of this house respectfully. After all, in the end, he was a guest.
Yet, it was his side that got angry with the Cheonma sect. The monk next to the Abbot stared hatefully at Tae Yong.
The Abbot, on the other hand, saw this coming but did nothing about it. He just observed everyone in the crowd before he spotted , a figure he hadn't seen before, ever.
It was clear from my complexion and facial structure that I wasn't a native. He began to leak his Qi, his intent focused on .
Cute.
While everyone knew what he was doing, no one stepped in. He was just scoping at the mont, and Rose, and he wasn't showing any signs of hostility.
"And they are?" He asked, turning to look at Tae Yong, a troubled expression on his face.
"Huh?" Tae Yong confusedly muttered.
'He can't observe them,' I could tell clearly what she was thinking.
And she was right. The Abbot couldn't see through us. Tae Yong hadn't tried to yet because there was no need. The Abbot needed to because he wasn't aware of what he was dealing with.
But he couldn't.
