"All hail the emperor," The enthusiasm in that voice was dripping. Or was it the sarcasm? I could never tell the difference.
The emperor ant the rightful ruler of this land but this land also included the land of Jianghu. Now the people of the heavenly demon sect believed that the rightful owner of the land was the strongest person under the heavens, a.k.a, the heavenly demon.
The emperor had nothing but political power and they despised that kind the most. Of course, being the lower person, they didn't understand the scale of politics up top when it ca to the enthronent of a new heavenly demon.
Oblivious to that fact, they believed that strength was the sole scenario the heavenly demon was appointed, they disapproved of the emperor who believed himself to be the ruler of the land he had no power over and could only use petty ans and blackmail to exert his own power over them.
The stance was made pretty clear when the elder along with the emperor and the golden guard also made strange faces full of contempt over the stale treatnt.
And that treatnt turned much worse when not a single person from the Cheonma sect even bowed slightly in the presence of the emperor. It was the unspoken rule to bow in the presence of the imperial blood unless you had it yourself and even the evil factions would follow that rule.
The Cheonma sect, however, once again, was the embodint of strength. The emperor didn't deserve the bow of their god, the heavenly demon, with how weak he was.
And since their leader didn't, why should they?
"Is our deal still holding?" Liu Kuang, the old man standing next to , not interested in what was happening whatsoever, asked.
He, and the rest of the three demons, were there to just pass the ti. Like children being forced to greet the guests, they were also being forced to be there so they decided to talk about sothing else so as to pass the ti.
Sohow.
"Our deal is still holding and by the end of this night, you'd be fifty years younger," I replied.
"That's great to know," Liu Kuang uninterestedly replied.
"Do the honorable mbers of the heavenly demon sect have sothing important to talk about?" An old man standing next to the emperor asked , and while his tone was benevolent, the venom in his voice could have been picked up by anyone.
"Yes," Liu Kuang straightforwardly replied which made the old man angrier while I, trying to diffuse the situation, replied, "I'm not a mber of the Cheonma sect."
[…]
'I swear my intention wasn't to burn the old man.'
No idea why he was so mad after our replies. Telling the truth was good. He should be happy we didn't lie to his face and say sothing like we love the guy and he was am~~azing.
"He's not?" The young emperor asked. He wasn't the one I saw at the imperial palace while I was browsing the exquisite art of the imperial palace and definitely not doing anything wrong.
[I rember you doing sothing else though]
'Fine. I also checked out so maids. Hang !'
"Yes, I've been aning to introduce this gentleman to you," Tae Yong said with utmost respect.
What made it worse was that she was showing a good amount of it.
"This young man has crossed the infinite seas and found our land. He has co from the land beyond the seas. A foreigner," Tae Yong portrayed as a hero, and then she added, which made quite the opposite one, "And his first instinct was to co here and find . Perhaps he was worried about the treatnt of the imperial palace. After all, the elder prince is known to go after soone else's wives."
Second-degree burn~~~
She must be talking about the fatso I beheaded and then shredded in so many pieces that I couldn't count. And I was only talking about his head.
It was amazing how plump his flesh was.
The emperor had an embarrassed look on his face which only worsened when an elental demon, the fire one, smiled and added, "Who would have thought? The tales of the mighty prince have spread beyond the seas as well."
The anger on the faces of the elders with the emperor was a sight to see. If so much of their blood was rushing to their faces, I was worried they might not have any left for the rest of their bodies, which would be very bad in the given situation.
"Haha," I chuckled modestly and said, "You can rest assured that that wasn't my intention, Your Imperial Majesty. I simply headed to this place to repay a favor to one of the sect's mbers who ca to our land long ago."
"Is that so? What favor did he bestow on you that no one else could have?" the man in the golden armor huffed but he was actually a little calm now. My treatnt of them wasn't disrespectful so far, after all.
While I love making people red with anger, I wasn't very fond of situations that would co to bite in the as*. If anyone was going to be targeted by these guys, then it would be the people of the Cheonma sect.
I was just a visitor.
"He turned my life around," I replied, however, seeing no need to go in-depth into my explanation, I remained quiet after that even when everyone, even the people of the sect, was curious about what I was going to say.
"I see," The emperor replied before he turned to Tae Yong and replied, "I'm afraid this is a matter of Murim. He shouldn't be included in the further matters anymore if that is possible."
It was more like an order than a request but by adding the little 'if possible' at the end, he dumped the entire conversation on Tae Yong. If I co out pissed, it would be on her, not the emperor.
I like this guy.
So glad I killed the other one.
He'd be much easier to manipulate.
After all, the little boy's got the power he always wanted. He'd do anything to keep it.
"I disagree," Tae Yong, however, doused water all over that authority and replied, "He returned us the treasures left by our founding father, the great Ma Do."
'Do' translated to 'Great', she didn't need to add one before as well.
However, for so reason, the people of the empire were just standing there, their faces frozen in shock. Strange, I didn't really think anyone other than the people of Cheonma would know the guy.
The emperor looked at , his eyes relaying the kind of interest a man shouldn't have in another. The cunning kind.
Oh, he would be so much, much easier to use.
"Very well then, we shall take this inside," The emperor replied. Tae Yong nodded and even though she was the owner of this place, she decided to show so respect to the guest and let him walk beside her.
I also walked next to her, by the way.
"Are you all right?" Tae Yong asked as we were walking to the heavenly palace.
"Nothing," I replied.
"Is that so? You were just walking very strangely." Tae Yong said.
[Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!]
One day I'll laugh at you as well.
Rose, who ca with , tried to step forward and walk next to when the golden knight interjected. However, before he could even touch her, Rose walked past him with great speed and ended up next to anyway.
She seed to be in a good mood. Otherwise, the guy would have ended up without an arm, at the very least.
[I change my opinion of you, Gabriel]
[You made a woman happy at the expense of your own body]
[I'm proud of you]
Funny.
Not ashad to admit it. I was beaten up earlier in the day. Nothing that never happened before. I received my first beating from a woman when I was four.
[Really?]
[What did you do?]
[Talk back to your mother]
'…'
[Seriously!]
[I was mocking you!]
'I picked that up from the sarcasm.'
[What was it about?]
'She told to study more and I said no.'
'A simple, clean, calm, 'no.''
Next thing I knew I woke up with my dad crying like a woman and huddled over .
Would have been sweet if he was crying for but he wasn't. Turned out he took my side and got banned from boinking for the rest of the day.
And night.
Most peaceful night of my life.
Anyway, when I said I would be attending this event with Rose as my main wife, everyone erupted, even Sasha which made things quite clear for , and the girls, but they were too worked up to care.
They had a common enemy after .
.
And then they showed how much they improved in that short tifra.
How do they say it; 'Learning out the hard way.'
"You insolent!"
Oh, totally forgot about it. There was an angry dude who was up'sed by a woman. A girl, actually. Not the proudest mont of his life.
And we all know how this was going to end.
[With him without his arms]
With him without his arms.
